The Waiting Sucks promo campaign by HBO to hype up the third season premiere of True Blood on Sunday June 13 is winding down … we are now just a wee bit over a week away from the premiere of new eps and the promo materials for the show have pretty much all been released. Today we get to see the 10th and 11th promo posters for the Waiting Sucks campaign … behold:

In March we learned that actor Chris Evans has been cast as Captain America in the upcoming Marvel film Captain America: The First Avenger and today we get to see a bunch of concept art photos that show what Evans will look like in the new version of the classic Capt. America costume … behold:

Ain’t It Cool News has a collection of costume mock-ups of Captain America. Which seem to accurately portray exactly what JoBlo described earlier this week. In fact JoBlo writer Mike Sampson confirmed that these images are in fact the real deal.

The problem with bringing comic book characters to life is that you have to make them look believable … you had to know that a believable Captain America these days would not be running around with wings sprouting from the sides of his head and would have to look a bit more militaristic. I think this new version of the Captain America costume looks about as believable as it can … considering how hyper red, white and blue it is. Lindsay Lohan, who has been spending a lot of time hiding her SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet and a little time showing it off, was spotted in Glendale, CA yesterday trying to sneak into her court-ordered alcohol education class (which is a mandatory requirement of the terms of ongoing probation for her 2007 DUI conviction). Lindsay was, once again, not really interested in showing off her SCRAM bracelet … nor was she too keen on showing off her face either:

If anything, these photos are proof that court-ordered probation works … sometimes. Because the judge made a point to ensure that Lindsay comply with the terms of her probation, Lindsay is finally doing everything required of her to begin repaying her debt to society. Now, there may be some suspicious activity going on with L. Lo these days but we don’t know for sure that she is not in full compliance with her punishment. Lindsay‘s perfect behavior very likely will not last for long … but she’s behaving now, at least for a short while. You gotta admit, something is better than nothing.

His Purple Majesty Prince is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Ebony magazine … here is our first look a Prince‘s latest magazine cover along with a short synopsis of what his Ebony coverstory is all about:

HMMM … this new Ebony coverstory sounds really intriguing. This little blurb does much to tease the feature without really telling us anything. I have to admit, I’m not a big Ebony magazine reader … but this is one issue I simply must get my hands on. I’m really hoping the article talks about the release of new Prince music but even if it doesn’t, I’m really interested in reading what 12 hours hangin’ out with Prince is like. I’ve been such a huge Prince fan for so long, I can’t get enough. I am really looking forward to reading this new article … are you?

Betty White, the last surviving Golden Girl and dear friend of Rue McClanahan, has issued a personal statement concerning the death of our dear Rue. Despite the pain that she is feeling today in the wake of Rue‘s sad passing, Betty has this to say:

“Rue was a close and dear friend. I treasure our relationship. It hurts more than I ever thought it would, if that’s even possible.”

I know many of us are still reeling from the news of Rue‘s death today but I cannot for the life of me imagine what Rue‘s death means to Betty White. It’s clear there was a strong bond of love and friendship between these two ladies … it’s just heartbreaking to deal with Rue‘s death and consider Betty‘s pain. We are all hurting today … my thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Rue‘s family and friends.

MILEY CYRUS’ romance has exploded – and she’s blaming her meddling parents. The Hannah Montana star’s hunk Liam Hemsworth moved out of her new Los Angeles home after a nasty fight that had them hurling bitter accusations at each other, say sources. The breakup comes on the heels of a headline-making scandal – the surfacing of a tape showing Miley dirty-dancing a raunchy lap dance to a 45-year-old producer at a party. LMAOOOO! As much as I’d love to believe the ridiculous details of this split are true, I’m thinking there is more than just a little imaginative fiction going on here. It should be noted, tho, that since both Miley and Liam are relatively young, it’s entirely possible that they’ve just grown tired of one another and are ready to move on. Whether or not a split occurred due to a jealous outburst is anyone’s guess … but I tend to believe where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

Enrique Iglesias has teamed up with the guidos and guidettes from MTV‘s reality TV show Jersey Shore in order to feature them in a new music video for his single I Like It from his upcoming new album Euphoria. I’m not sure how I feel about Enrique jumping on the Jersey Shore bandwagon but I suppose this is proof positive that anyone can be a self-proclaimed guido. Clearly a lot of work went into the creation of the album art for /\/\/\Y/\ … and it’s also very clear that M.I.A. is a big fan of You Tube. To be honest, I’ve never been a big fan of M.I.A.‘s album artwork before … and this is no exception. That being said, it’s all about the music for me so ugly album art or not, I’m really looking forward to the release of this new disc. What do y’all think of the /\/\/\Y/\ album cover? Do we like?
