Rihanna is about to unleash her next music video from her album Rated R and People magazine brings us our first look at the vid with the release of a 30 second teaser clip … here are a few screencaps:
Take a lesson from Rihanna: Being a rock star means being able to strut your stuff while wearing a sexy, slick bodysuit, fierce stilettos, and a fiery red wig. At least that’s the lesson coming out of her new video for “Rockstar 101,” her fourth single off of her album Rated R. PEOPLE has a sneak peek of the new video. The singer, 22, does already knows a thing or two about rocking out: Travis Barker taught her how to play the drums, and Slash plays guitar on the new song. In July, Rihanna kicks off her “Last Girl On Earth” North American tour, where she’ll be joined by Ke$ha.
I know it’s hard to tell from just a 30 second clip but this video looks much tamer, less opulent than her previous videos. I’m guessing that the whole video might be just Rihanna strutting around in her red wig and black latex outfit. After the jump, check out the clip and see for yourselves …
Personally, I’d expect a Rock Star to offer a bit more in their music videos but, again, I cannot be sure if there will be more excitement in the final full version of Rock Star 101. But whether the video is good or not, I’m still CRAZY excited to see Rihanna on stage this Summer on her Last Girl on Earth Tour. I guess I’ll have to wait until the full video for Rock Star 101 is released to make a judgment but this clip is just seems a bit meh.

I’ll also refrain from calling the rest of this video a piece of crap until I see all of it but until then I will say this is a pretty shitty 30 seconds that doesn’t inspire much faith for the rest of the video =S

I saw photos from her concert why doesn’t she get hate from Gaga’s biggest fan Perez and others??Her show is more like Gaga then anyone I’ve seen..Do wish she would go away for two minutes..She’s turning into Beyonce and I’m sick of her.

no, it’s not gonna be just Rihanna strutting around in her red wig and black latex outfit, because other pictures from the set of the video shows us that the drummer travis will be on the video, she was dressing a different outfit and kevmokeys, her keyboard, also will be one the video, we just don’t know how the entire video is to be, so don’t say negative thing until you see it all please.
Kind of looks like a rip off of Missy Elliots video–the suit anyways!
Tim, I agree with you about “being SICK of Beyonce and her hubby I’m adding that, have you seen the new piece of shi. Beyonce calls a video, she really thinks she has talent beyond shaking her A… Please go somewhere and take Lips with her. Her lousy (Chalk Board) singing has gone on way too long.
