First Look: Harry Potter, 19 Years In The Future
Photos from the filming of the 'Deathly Hallows' epilogue hit the Internets

New photos from the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows have made their way to the Internets that show how the characters Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley will look in the epilogue to the film, aged 19 years. As you may be well aware, the final Harry Potter book will be broken into 2 films (the first of these two films will be released in movie theaters this November) and the epilogue scene will be featured at the very end of the second film (which will be released next year?). Those of you who have read the Deathly Hallows book know how the story ends and should be well aware of what takes place in the epilogue … those of you who have not yet read Deathly Hallows may want to refrain from reading any further to remain unspoiled. First, read on for a refresher on what action takes place in the epilogue to Deathly Hallows and see the new photos that have been leaked from the set of the film:

Epilogue

Nineteen years later, Harry and Ginny Weasley are married and have three children: James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna. Ron married Hermione and has two children, Rose and Hugo. The families meet at King’s Cross station, where a nervous Albus is departing for his first year at Hogwarts. Harry’s godson, Teddy Lupin, is found kissing Victoire Weasley (Bill and Fleur’s daughter) in a train carriage. Harry sees Draco Malfoy and his wife Astoria Greengrass (revealed on Rowling’s website behind the door) with their son, Scorpius. Neville Longbottom is now a Hogwarts Herbology professor and remains friends with the two families. Harry comforts Albus, who is worried he will be sorted into Slytherin, and tells his son that one of his two namesakes, Severus Snape, was a Slytherin and the bravest man he had ever met. He adds that the Sorting Hat takes one’s choice into account, like it did for Harry. The book ends with these final words: “The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well.”

That was a short summation of what takes place in the epilogue to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. So … what will Harry and Ginny look like 19 years into the future? Find out, after the jump …

It’s unclear which Potter child is featured above but it’s either James Sirius or Albus Severus. I understand that some fans were not happy that author JK Rowling decided to tack on an epilogue to the Harry Potter saga for fear that it would be hokey. I, for one, did not mind that the epilogue was added to the Deathly Hallows book … but I was worried when I heard that the epilogue would be filmed for the movie. Sometimes, aging make-up does little to make the actors look aged and much to make them look silly. In this epilogue, Harry Potter is supposed to look 37 … to me, he looks much older. Then again, fighting evil wizards for most of your childhood is likely to age one considerably. I suspect these characters will look much better in the actual film, with lighting and FX, so I’m not all that concerned. But, yeah, this is what the future holds for Harry Potter … what do y’all think?

Eh these “professionals” always do this with celebs. Aging them like 20 years instead of 10 or 50 years instead of 20.
Majority of people don’t get wrinkles in their 30s. Not deep ones like Harry has near his mouth. LOL they are just trying to be like THEY’RE OLD THEY HAVE WRINKLES.
They should have a tutorial in Photoshop cause they look so stupid!

You are right but in this case Harry was raised in Muggle homes and knows exactly how Muggles dress – not to mention the fact that this is supposed to take place 19 years later, which means fashion will have evolved. And also, wizards are not so much “behind” as they wear completely different clothes from muggles like cloaks and robes, which hasn’t been worn in the Muggle world since… a very, very long time? I always found that a bit ridiculous in the books btw
But that is indeed a less pressing problem than the awful receding hairline they gave Harry!

It’s a pity, it would have been nice if they had tried to make them look “grown-up” i.e. manly or womanly, instead of just old.
Sorry I know it’s like my 4th comment on this post but I am a die-hard fan of the books ;) !!!

Trent, that’s actually Albus Severus with them. And geez people, calm down. They have to put on so much makeup or the cameras won’t catch any of the effects. It’s like when you’re performing onstage, they slather makeup on the actors so people in the back can tell they’re wearing it.

actually, they are the most character i love in HP, of course, side by side with “Emma watson”

@ Dianna, lmbo! Your comment made my laugh so hard i cried!!

I also think this was shot on the set and hopefully when they are editing things will look better. Usually they dress them up looking overaged and fix it later on :)

They really don’t look 37. My mom and dad are older than that and look better. I would’ve thought Harry would look more buff with the auror stuff (sorry if I spelt it wrong) but he looks just as nerdy. Daniel Radcliffe not playing Harru doesn’t look nerdy. They look way old.

I think they ruined the whole show by using those grown-up actors that are suppost to be Harry and Ginny. They look stuped!!!
