Earlier today we saw cute photos of Sean Preston and Jayden James enjoying their Sunday afternoon at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA and we learned that mama Britney Spears spent her Mother’s Day afternoon shopping up a storm in West Hollywood, CA before hangin’ with her peeps (well, with her bodyguard actually) at The Abbey on Robertson Blvd. Here are a few photos from Britney‘s adventures on Sunday:
She looks cute in these pics … it looks like she had a nice day. I can’t even imagine what a day in the life of Britney Spears is really like these days but I do hope she is happy. It’s hard to tell if she is truly happy and just remains guarded or if she really is not happy is merely putting on a brave face … but I think I’ll just give her the benefit of the doubt and hope for the best. It KILLS me to know that Brit Brit was at The Abbey on Sunday afternoon … ah, that I was back home in LA at the time … I might’ve run into her. Ah well, mebbe next time.

Am I the only one disheartened by the fact that she sent her kids off to Disneyland with a paid nanny and body guard and shopped and partied on Mother’s Day? Just not the girl I used to adore. If Kevin Federline did this on Father’s Day people would be rippin him a new one. I’m a die hard Britney lover, but come on.
Isn’t it kind of sad that her kids spent Mother’s Day with their Nanny at Disneyland…while their mom went shopping?
@everyone — I’m certain Britney spent time with her boys on Sunday. She was with them Saturday. It’s totally plausible that they spent the morning together and then the kids went to Disneyland. It’s not at all strange to me.
Sorry, the “she was with them Saturday” excuse doesn’t cut it for me… she is their mother; she should be with them every minute of every day that she possibly can, seeing how she has to share custody and is always off working!!! You don’t pass your kids off to nannies and bodyguards on Mother’s Day while you go out shopping and such… it just looks bad. Do that any other day of the year. Even if they “spent the morning together”…. so??!?? Spend the WHOLE DAY together!!!!
@Nikki — But neither you nor I know how much time they spent together, when and why. Getting irrationally angry over something you don’t know all the facts about (and can neither change nor have anything at all to do with) seems … pointless? I dunno. I’m happy to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially when so many people do not and seem all too happy to have something negative to say.
Trent, I don’t think anyone expects you to find something Brit does to be strange! ;) Your support of her no matter what is cute.
This is just a guess but maybe she didn’t go with her sons to Disneyland so that they could enjoy the day in peace without people trying to hound their famous mother. This way people wouldn’t really notice that their Britney’s kids.

Sorry to say it peeps, but sometimes what a Mother wants for Mother’s Day is to have some FREE TIME! I don’t blame her for enjoying her day while her kids got to enjoy their time at Disneyland..And, really, do you think the kids were there from sun-up to sundown?? I’m sure she got to spend time with them after having some alone time for herself!
I don’t understand why everyone is mad that she was or was not with them. Does it really matter? Maybe they don’t celebrate it the same way you do. maybe the boys had plans to go to Disneyland for a while. Everyday you should celebrate your mom. Not just once a year because your calender and Hallmark say so.
PS Trent- have you had the pleasure to meet Britney Spears ever?
@Kendra- EXACTLY! Did anybody watch last week’s episode of The Middle? Sometimes, on Mother’s Day, the mother wants a day to relax by herself! Mother’s Day is supposed to be a day where mom gets to relax. The Middle did a GREAT job of illustrating how having kids around can ruin a great Mother’s Day.
Kind of ironic, huh? The best Mother’s Day sometimes is to be without your kids.
@Trent- I’m dying because I was going to go to Disneyland on Sunday, but because it was supposed to be crowded, I chickened out… so close to meeting Britney’s kids!
Why has no one even mentioned the idea that due to custody, kevin was meant to have them on Mothers Day? Its entirely possible. alot of people are just dying to label brit a bad mother..
Some of you guys are willing to attack something you don’t even know the facts to! I mean, really now? C’mon. Her boys are simply TOO young to even get the principle of Mother’s Day in general so it’s not like they’re going to celebrate as IF they did understand it, right? Did you ever think of that? No, you didn’t. You just came to the conclusion that Britney is still unfit, a horrible mom, and that what she did was wrong. You let your negative thoughts override anything realistic (because y’all know everything, right? Right!) because common sense doesn’t come right away. It’s OK, BB.

She looks ok here but I do feel as if she is not really happy. It’s like her father pulled her out of a downward spiral but then right away they put her on tour and now she just seems to go through the motions.

I agree with Heather, if it were KFed on Father’s Day you’d rip him a new one Trent. However since it’s Britney and she can do no wrong in your blinded obsession of yours it’s ok. On the other hand, I wish i had been by myself this past Mother’s Day instead of dealing with the kids lol.
