We are exactly 18 days away from the season 3 premiere of True Blood on HBO but today I’ve got an early treat for all y’all to sink your teeth into. Apparently, preview DVDs of the first eps of True Blood have been disseminated to the media and screencaps from the season 3 premiere episode have made their way to the Internets … including a few screencaps of the very handsome Alexander Skarsgård:

Those of you who watch the show know that True Blood has its fair share of nekkidness from episode to episode … so it should come as no surprise that the first ep of the new season will be bringin’ the bare flesh. A couple of weeks ago we learned that Britney Spears and Jason Trawick decided to call off their professional relationship so that they could move forward and focus on their personal relationship. Today we get to see the first photos of Britwick out and about together since that decision was made and, as you might expect, the couple were spotted doing one of their favorite activities. Here are a few photos of Britney and her agent beau Jason making their exit from Starbucks:

LOOOOVE this!! I was starting to get a little worried … I mean, we heard about this change in their relationship weeks ago and then … nothing. Britney popped up here and there around town but Jason was nowhere to be seen. Now that they have been spotted at Starbucks together, all’s right with the world. Huzzah!

Attention fans of the amazing UK teen drama Skins … a movie is on the way! Unlike the terrible news we got in March that the planned US version of the Skins is definitely on the way, this news of an official movie featuring the original British cast is fantastic. Read on for the deets:

the sex, drink and drug-fuelled drama that depicts teenage life as it often is rather than how parents imagine it, is to migrate to the big screen. After a year of speculation about the E4 show, producers today confirmed that shooting would begin in September on a film to be released in summer 2011. Steve Christian, executive producer on the film and chair of the film finance and distribution company CinemaNX, said the show – which few could accuse of presenting a sanitised picture of adolescence – was perfect for the big screen. But he added: “The biggest critics of Skins are the Skins fans so it’s going to be a big challenge. The programme has this incredible fanbase despite all the characters changing.” Skins has grown in popularity with more than 1.5 million people tuning in to the start of the recent fourth series. Although its target audience is teenagers, it has become something of a guilty pleasure for curious viewers far older. “Look, I’m a middled aged bloke with two kids, I should hate Skins but I absolutely love it,” said Christian. “And then I talk to my mates, people not in the film industry, and it’s the same thing – they watch it and they love it and it’s all down to the quality of the production.” The show’s first two series featured actors such as Dev Patel, who went on to Slumdog Millionaire, and Nicholas Hoult, who starred in last year’s A Single Man. Because the show is set in a sixth form, the teenage actors were all changed for the third and fourth series and the same thing will happen for series five and six, which have already been commissioned. Christian said the intention was to bring back characters from the first four series, but there would also be new characters. The script is being written by Jack Thorne, a regular Skins writer working with the show’s creator Bryan Elsley, and another regular, Charles Martin, will direct.

Now THIS is fantastic news!! Not only will as many original Skins characters be appearing in this film (they better get Nicholas Hoult and Dev Patel) but having the show’s creator involved will ensure the movie will rule. Skins is truly one of my fave new shows … I’ve been watching from the beginning and have every faith that this movie version will be excellent. I am as excited for this movie as I am vehemently opposed to the idea of a US version of the show. I cannot wait to hear more!

Embattled starlet Lindsay Lohan may have shown up in court earlier this week as a brunette but she emerged last night from the Andy Lecompte Salon in West Hollywood, CA as a blonde … again. Here are a few photos of Lindsay showing off her new lighter locks as she exited the salon and then later on last night as she supped with friends at the Chateau Marmont:

The old saying goes that blondes have more fun. Perhaps that’s what Lindsay Lohan was counting on when she said goodbye to her raven-colored hair and reverted back to golden tresses this week. The newly towheaded starlet-cum-designer–who was recently ordered to wear an alcohol-monitoring ankle bracelet after failing to appear in court on Thursday–sported similar buttery waves three years ago, around the same time she wore another SCRAM ankle bracelet. Coincidence? We can’t be sure, but if the 23-year-old’s gone blonde for a little pick-me-up amid troubled times, she does seem to be enjoying her new do.

HMMM. And lest you think L. Lo was whooping it up at the Chateau last night, I understand she was plainly seen drinking only water and bubbly tea (which, I’m sure, she is hoping will get back to the judge overseeing her on-going probation case). I mean, it’s only been a couple of days since the judge ordered her to wear a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet but … so far so good. To be honest, I’ve never been too big of a fan of blonde Lindsay but her hair does look great in these photos. Whether or not she’ll be able to stay away from booze is anyone’s guess but mebbe this new (old) look will give her a new outlook on life?

Jake Gyllenhaal made his way to Toronto, Ontario to make an appearance on eTalk to promote his new film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (due out in theaters on Friday) and thought it would be fun to whip out his long sword on Canadian TV … here are a few photos:

Oh yes, Jake … whip it out … you can whip out your sword any time, any place you like. I must admit, the world would be a much happier place if Jake Gyllenhaal felt free enough to whip out his sword whenever the spirit moves him. Unfortunately, I did not make it out to see Band of Horses last night at The Roxy due to an ill-timed stomach ache that struck around 7pm … I thought I could rally in time to see the show but, alas, I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. But, things will be much different tonight because I have every intention of attending an early screening of Sex and the City 2 at Grauman’s Chinese Theater tonight. Hosted by champagne giant Moët & Chandon, SaTC2 will screen tonight around 7pm with an champagne afterparty to follow:

Tonight’s screening promises to be a fabulous event … I am SO excited. Remember, Sex and the City 2 opens in theaters tonight at midnight so if you’re as anxious as I am to see the film, you don’t have much longer to wait. Wee!!

The amazing HBO series Hung returns with all new episodes on June 27 and right now we get our first look at the first trailer for the upcoming second season … behold:

HBO has kicked off the promotion of “Hung” by releasing one interesting video. Instead of merely including new footage, the featurette called “Hard at Work” shows Ray in a train of bookings, pleasing one woman after another. Sounds incorporating in the actions done, form a melody. “Hung” will be back June 27 with the episode “Just the Tip”. If one remembers, the end of the first season sees Tanya succumbing to Ray’s proposal to include Lenore in the escort business. Ray, Tanya and Lenore’s new partnership starts inauspiciously when Ray “holds back” during a tryst with a pregnant client. Joining the cast in the new season is Merrin Dungey whom people recognize mostly on “Alias”. She will play Liz, a potential new love interest for Ray and one of his clients. She is a super successful corporate woman willing to pay Ray for a night of pleasure.

A couple of weeks ago we got to see Hung star Thomas Jane on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Men’s Fitness magazine and it was then that I was reminded about how much I love Jane in Hung. With all the True Blood promo that has been flooding our universe in the past few months, I had totally forgotten about Hung … but this new trailer has got me even more excited than ever for the show’s return. On Monday we got to see M.I.A. on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Complex magazine … today, we get to see her gracing the cover and pages of the June/July issue of Nylon magazine. Here is M.I.A.‘s Nylon coverphoto and some excerpts from her coverstory interview:

On her mistrust of Google:
“Anybody who is called the government is right. And anybody who isn’t called the government is not right… And you know, all governments are connected to Google, and all governments can shift their search engines so only what they want you to see comes up… I want kids to be aware of this digital circumstance… Everyone on the Internet is like, “Oh my God, come and join Facebook!” They’re all so optimistic… and really, everyone is fucking you up behind the screens. And I don’t like that. It makes it difficult for me to interact with my fans knowing that. Google and Facebook were developed by the CIA, and when you’re on there, you have to know that.”

On her film school interview:
“I said, ‘If you don’t accept me, you’re going to change my life completely, because I’m going to go outside and get on the bus and I’ll be a crackhead prostitute and go to jail. And three years from now, I’ll come out of jail and make the best film.”

On her teenage years in Los Angeles:
I was always going out to LA because my cousin lived there, and she knew all the Bloods and Crips. So I was hanging out with her, having crazy times, and then I’d come back and be like, ‘I hung out with Tupac last week!’ and nobody knew who he was!”

On her unique sound:
“I thought being different was a bad thing, but then I realized it was just different because it hadn’t been done before.”

“Coca Cola wanted me to be their face, so of course I said no, and then Pepsi came to me and I said no again. But eventually, one day, I’m going to lose the battle and just be like, ‘Fuck it,’ and say yes… But I want to be able to be like, ‘Yeah, I made a sacrifice, but at least I have about 10 other people behind me who are worth it and who are going to benefit from all that money.”

On Paper Planes:
“Everyone was like, ‘You need to edit [the gunshots] out. They said, ‘You need something that’s going to get on the radio.’”

So … remember that drama that took place last Summer when Kelly Clarkson angrily shared with the world her belief that One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder wrote a song for her that he had already given to Beyoncé, making her look like a copy cat? And remember earlier this month how we got to hear a leaked demo of a diss track titled Wash, Rinse, Repeat that Kelly Clarkson wrote and recorded expressing how angry she was to be conned by both Tedder and her record label? Yeah … it turns out that, according to Tedder himself, all of that drama is water under the bridge … because he claims to be working with Kelly on new music for her new album:

Kelly Clarkson apparently has left behind her beef with Ryan Tedder as they have reunited for her upcoming fifth studio album. Opening up about that matter was the frontman of OneRepublic himself in a recent interview. “I’m working on stuff for her next album and am personally over any of the drama between the two of us,” Ryan told The Denver Post. The vocalist furthermore commented on the similarity of Kelly’s “Already Gone” and Beyonce Knowles’ “Halo”. He said, “It’s silly. ‘Already Gone’ is now a bigger hit than ‘Halo’ was, so I think she’s probably happy, too.” On Kelly’s recently-leaked song “Wash, Rinse, Repeat”, Ryan didn’t rule out any possibility that the “American Idol” singer slams him on the track. He stated, “I’m pretty sure that song was ‘somewhat’ about me … and her record label.” But, the 30-year-old singer/songwriter didn’t despise it. He gushed, “I actually like it – I think Kelly speaks her mind regardless of anything. She’s great with lyrics, and I love that she is her own person. She’s no puppet.”

Yeah, I think this deserves a hearty WTF?! Now, we have to consider that this is Ryan Tedder speaking here, not Kelly Clarkson. All along, Tedder has been trying to downplay Kelly‘s beef with him (choosing instead to focus on her anger with her record label) so it would make sense for him to maintain an ongoing friendship with Kelly. I’m having a real hard time believing that Kelly would ever willingly choose to work with Ryan Tedder ever again. Unless she has had a HUGE change of heart (which is possible), the only way I can believe that Tedder and Clarkson will be collaborating musically again is if her record label is forcing her to do so (which is very likely). If Kelly is being forced into this collaboration, I doubt we’ll be hearing from her any confirmation that she is unwillingly working with Tedder again. I’m not sure what to think about this … but until I hear from Kelly herself, I’m not really counting on any new music from a Clarkson/Tedder team.
