With just a wee bit over a month to go before The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters, Summit Entertainment has released a couple of new promo movie posters to remind us all that the film will be show in IMAX theaters as well as traditional movie theaters. Here is our first look at a strikingly serious poster of Jacob Black (played by Taylor Lautner), Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson):

As far as Eclipse posters go, this one ain’t too bad. The Photoshopping to make the faces look ominous works for me. All the dark shading draws attention away from the bad Bella wig, Edward actually looks a bit scary (as he should, what with being a vampire and all) and Jacob looks as hot as ever. Ricky Martin, who famously came out of the closet as a gay man in March, has made his way to NYC this week for the first time as an out and proud man! And by the look of his strut, Ricky might be lookin’ for a real good time in the Big Apple … behold:

As you may recall, Ricky made an appearance at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in San Juan, Puerto Rico last month but this is his first sighting in the mainland US since his huge announcement. I would hope that the freedom of coming out will free him from the fear restraints he’s lived with for so many years. I can tell you, NYC is a fabulous city to indulge in one’s urges and is the best city in the world to sow one’s wild oats. Now, I do not believe for a second that Ricky has lived a life of gay celibacy in all the years that he was in the closet but his coming out has surely given him a new lease on life. Do the damn thing, Ricky … enjoy your time in NYC!

Last night my friend Jordan and I made our way to Universal City to attend the first LA performance of the Glee: Live Tour at the Gibson Amphitheater and let me tell you … we had a BLAST!

Jake Gyllenhaal made a few hundred dreams come true when he surprised fans at a special preview screening of his new film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time here in SoCal last night. After pretty much everyone was seated at the AMC Theater in Century City (one of my fave theaters, I might add), our dear Jakey poo sauntered in and sat with the crowd to watch the film … behold:

Well, that’s better than popcorn! Jake Gyllenhaal surprised some fans at a screening of his new movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time at an AMC Theater in Century City, Calif. “The crowd went crazy when Jake entered,” a source says, adding that the ladies sitting next to him seemed especially starstruck. Gyllenhaal thanked the fans for their support, then joked about a certain movie (starring Sarah Jessica Parker) that’s opening the same weekend. “This,” Gyllenhaal told his admirers as he pointed to his body, “is the real Sex and the City!”

OMG!!! I would’ve DIED!! You know, had I not had tickets for the opening night of the Glee: Live concert here in LA last night, I might’ve been at this screening … sitting right there … next to Jake … sharing my popcorn … my drink … my napkins, whatever. Le sigh. Ah well, it sounds like it was a fab time for everyone in attendance last night … those lucky bastards :/

Earlier this week we saw a fun photo of Robert Pattinson showing off his new shorter hair’do on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and we learned that he clipped off his hair for a role in the new film currently in production Water for Elephants. Today we get our first look at R. Pattz (and his new ‘do) on the set of Elephants which is filming this week here in SoCal:

Robert Pattinson has kicked off the principal photography for “Water for Elephants”. Now, several pictures during the production process have hit the web, mostly featuring the lead actor wearing a shabby outfit. In some photos, Pattinson was seen shooting a scene with a co-star, while in some other shots he was captured pulling out a black horse from what looks like a train. Since the film uses a traveling circus as the background of the story, elephant is also seen around the shooting location while a big tent is built on the set … In the movie, Robert Pattinson stars as Jacob Jankowski, an orphaned veterinary student who is put in charge of caring for the animals in a traveling circus. His character will later fall in love with beautiful equestrian rider Marlena, played by Reese Witherspoon. Unfortunately, Marlena has married to the troupe’s charismatic but dangerous animal trainer August. Francis Lawrence serves behind the lens for this drama film, with the script provided by Richard LaGravenese. Gil Netter, Erwin Stoff and Andrew Tennenbaum produce “Water for Elephants” which is slated to arrive sometime in 2011.

I hear the novel which this film is based on is a fantastic read but I have to admit, the story doesn’t really sound like it’ll be my kind of film. I have to say, tho, that it’s great to see Rob taking on as many different roles as possible in the wake of his insane Twilight fame. I might be interested to see him in a film opposite Reese Witherspoon … and speaking of, Reese was also spotted on the set of Water for Elephants this week. The Beckhams have a British bulldog named Coco as their family pet and this week an assistant was spotted taking the pooch out for a walk in the warm SoCal sun. As you might expect from such a stylishly fabulous family as the Beckhams, their dog has to be as fab as ever … so, of course, Coco would be seen out and about with pink polished toenails:

She might look like a tough British bulldog, but it seems the Beckhams want to give their favourite pet a softer side. Family dog Coco sported delicate pink toenails while on her walkies in Los Angeles earlier this week. And she didn’t look happy about it. The puppy, who was bought by Victoria Beckham as a Christmas present for husband David, certainly appears to be one pampered pet with her brightly -coloured pedicure. But rather than her toenails being painted by fun-loving Beckham boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz – or having been to a pooch pedicurist – those in the know said they were actually special clip-on claws. The brightly-coloured caps prevent accidental scratches and damage to furniture – and have the added advantage of looking rather snazzy. David Beckham, 35, and wife Victoria, 36, were at San Fernando Valley skate park on Wednesday to pick up son Brooklyn, 11, when Coco was spotted. While the family were inside, the Beckham’s assistant took the eight-month-old dog for a walk.

OMG, I love this!! I know some people have a problem with people dressing up their pets in clothes and others, including me, have a HUGE problem with people painting or dying their pets different colors. But, I’m totally cool with painted toenails … AND it sounds like Coco‘s nails weren’t even painted, they’re capped. I’m of the mind that pink can make anything better … how can you not have fun with a color like pink? The Beckhams may be a family of fierceness but Coco Beckham might be the fiercest of the bunch!

As you may be well aware, Paris and Nicky Hilton are among the celebs who are partying up a storm at the 2010 Cannes International Film Festival in Cannes, France this week and — as you might imagine — they have been making the rounds at any and every party going on there. With all the partying comes a lot of drinking and revelry and, well, when it comes to the Hilton sisters and revelry … anything is possible:

For the most part, the sisters have been behaving themselves pretty well … unlike years previous, they’ve not really been embarrassing themselves with crazy hijinks or serious faux pas. BUTT, at an event Monday night at the VIP Room nightclub where Paris was partying with her younger sister Nicky and her younger brother Conrad things got a wee bit out of hand. As if Poison frontman Bret Michaels hasn’t been suffering enough in recent weeks do to his brain hemorrhage, news late yesterday was that he had to be hospitalized again after suffering a “warning stroke”. Bret, who has been recovering from his near-deadly hemorrhage in just the past couple of weeks, complained of numbness on the left side of his body and had to be rushed to the emergency room where it was discovered that he has a hole in his heart! Thankfully, the prognosis for recovery is good but … damn, how much of this can one person take?

Bret Michaels suffered a serious setback in his recovery from a brain hemorrhage, experiencing a small “warning stroke” that sent him to the hospital, where tests then revealed he also has a hole in his heart. Both conditions are treatable and are not believed to be connected to his subarachnoid hemorrhage. But his doctor questioned whether Michaels can return as hoped to the May 23 finale of Celebrity Apprentice or to a concert on May 28. “Without a doubt he is very determined to get healthy and make a 100 percent recovery. Medically speaking it is a fantastic attitude both mentally and physically for him to have,” neurosurgeon Dr. Joseph Zabramski says on Michaels’s Web site. “However, Bret’s brain and body are not quite 100 percent yet, especially with the hole found in his heart.” Michaels’s rep, Jann Elias, says the 47-year-old rocker is “in good spirits, great medical hands and is positive and hopeful that everything is going to be okay.” As for his condition Elias says, “He is up, walking, talking, continuing his daily rehab and very happy to be alive but he has made it clear he is sick and tired of being in the hospital and is ready to rock again.” According to his doctor, Michaels was readmitted to the hospital this week after experiencing numbness on the left side of his body, particularly to his face and hands. He was diagnosed with suffering a Transient Ischemic Attack, or TIA, described as a mini-stroke or warning stroke that causes stroke-like syptoms but doesn’t cause lasting neurological damage. MRI and CT scans then discovered that Michaels had a hole in his heart. “There is no doubt that [this] is devastating news to Bret and his family,” says Zabramski. “The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attack.”

This is BEYOND insane. Again, I think it’s a good idea that we all send our healing vibes and best wishes to Bret Michaels right now. What is just so unsettling to me is that this new ailment seems to be completely unrelated from his brain hemorrhage. It’s horrible enough that his brain was bleeding but now he has to deal with a heart malfunction? I think it would be best for Bret to just stay home, recuperate and rest. I would hate for him to push himself to make TV appearances at the risk of his health. Get well soon, Bret! We are all pulling for your full recovery. Ugh, so scary :(
