In support of their upcoming sequel film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner posed for a photo to be published alongside an article in the pages of USA Today. Having seen quite a few photos of the Twilight cast in various configurations, I have to say that this photo has to be THE most awkward photo ever taken of the Twilight actors … check it out:

LOL! Not a single one of these 3 looks good in this photo. Kristen‘s pose is just ridiculous, I have no idea WTF? R. Pattz is doing and Tay Tay looks uncomfortably constipated. This photo is just … terrible. I have no idea how it got selected for publication but it is just … so wrong. If you have the inclination, you can read the USA Today article HERE … but it’s not nearly as entertaining as this photo is horrendously bad.

Celebs of varying stature made their way to the Sporting Club in Monte Carlo, Monaco yesterday to attend the 2010 World Music Awards. The awards show was co-hosted by Heroes star Hayden Panettiere and Lost star Michelle Rodriguez for no discernible reason clear to me, other than the fact that they were available. While I have no idea what either one of these actresses have to do with the celebration of World Music, I’m sure they did a decent job hosting. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals and some deets about the event itself:

2010 World Music Awards was kicked off on Tuesday, May 18 at the Sporting Club in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Held to honor those in music, the event welcomed not only musicians but also actors, athletes and models. Hayden Panettiere, who served as co-host at the event with Michelle Rodriguez, wowed people with her simple look. The “Heroes” beauty covered herself in an Emilio Pucci short dress matched with open-toed shoes while her hair was pinned up. Jennifer Lopez, who was honored with an achievement award for her contribution to music, came with the companion of her husband Marc Anthony. The singer/actress bared her cleavage and back in a full-length Roberto Cavalli animal print gown. Giving a different color on the red carpet were the members of Scorpions who graced the red carpet with their rocker style. Meanwhile, Italian tenor singer Andrea Bocelli chose a formal white-and-black outfit, which was in contrast with Pharrell Williams’ casual style in a jacket and a baseball cap. Also seen among the attendees were Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton who were joined by other family members, including brother Barron as well as parents Kathy and Rick. Heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko and model Karolina Kurkova additionally showed up at the event.

Jennifer Lopez, will.i.am and Pharell were among the artists who performed last night as well:

I have to say, the World Music Awards annually confuses and confounds me. I’m not exactly sure what the parameters are for winning a World Music Award but each year the show manages to pull together the strangest groupings of celebs. I suppose congratulations are in order for the winners … I mean, I guess.

Conan O’Brien and George Lopez were among the stars of the TBS network to appear at a Turner Entertainment Network upfront event in NYC earlier today to promote their selling power to advertisers. Conan performed live on stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom as part of the pitch … and he also announced that his new late night talk show will debut on TBS on November 8. In the end, Conan O’Brien will have been gone from the airwaves for 289 days: the time between his final “Tonight Show” episode and the launch of his TBS late-night program. O’Brien’s new show will debut Monday, November 8, according to multiple news reports. The announcement was made at the TBS upfront presentation Wednesday (May 19) at the Hammerstein Theatre in New York City. O’Brien himself was on hand for the event, cracking jokes and even breaking into song. “The plot to ‘Lost’ is more plausible than my last year at NBC,” he quipped at one point. “I really believe in cable television,” he continued. “I do not want to live in a country with less than five ESPN networks.” The floppy-haired comedian also busted into a revamped version of Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again,” changing the lyrics to croon, “I just want to be on my own show again.” Not for 173 more days, CoCo! That his new show will air on TBS, rather than Fox, came as a huge surprise to even media insiders when it was announced in April. O’Brien’s reps were deep in negotiations with Fox until the talk-show host made a stunning reversal and decided to take his talents to cable. The show will air Mondays through Thursdays at 11 p.m. ET/PT. “Lopez Tonight,” which currently airs at 11 p.m., will shift to midnight. “Conan has been the comedic voice for a generation,” Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks, said at the time. “TBS already has a huge audience of young comedy lovers, and Conan’s show will give these fans even more reasons to watch our network.” During Wednesday’s upfront, Conan joked to his new boss, “Steve, thanks for the blank creative check … you fool!”

At last! We have a date to circle on our calendars for Conan‘s return to late night TV. Altho November 8 seems like a long time away, I know we’ll be talking about his TBS debut in no time. I have to hand it to TBS for pulling off this coup to snag Conan … I think he is going to do wonders for their network. Coupled with George Lopez, Conan is sure to make waves in the late night battle for ratings. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

Here is our first look at the latest promo poster to be released from the Waiting Sucks campaign for HBO‘s supernatural drama True Blood. The focus is — once again — on the fictional synthetic blood drink Tru Blood (just like THIS previous poster) … but this time around, there is a werewolfy slant to the artwork:

This poster seems to imply that the new werewolves on the block in season 3 of True Blood also like to drink the faux blood beverage. HMMM … will there be a shortage of Tru Blood in Bon Temps, LA this season because of all the demand from both werewolves AND vampires? I guess we’ll have to tune in on June 13 to find out when the third season of True Blood premieres on HBO.

Things have been settling nicely around here, thankfully. With over 24 hours of no technical difficulties, travel woes or emotional breakdowns, I’m starting to feel like my old self again. David and I did a whole lotta nothing yesterday so that we could just chill out and relax … let me tell you, it was nice. I was very excited and pleased to receive a very special book in the mail yesterday. I had ordered this particular hand-made book a few months ago and, at last, it arrived. You may recall that previously I mentioned that I managed to track down a prop replica of the Spirit Board that was featured in the Charmed TV series. Well, I also managed to track down a book maker who crafts full size replicas of the Book of Shadows featured in Charmed. I had hoped the book would be as similar as possible to the one featured in the show, I was completely unprepared for how almost EXACTLY this replica is to the original magic book see on the show:

I am a sucker for prop replicas from my favorite TV shows and movies. I have quite a few items from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (including Buffy‘s stake, the Slayer Scythe, the Orb of Thesulah and Angel‘s sword) but the Charmed Book of Shadows has to be the one of my fave acquisitions. THIS is the book maker who crafts these Charmed replicas and I can assure you, the quality and craftsmanship is unbelievably stunning. All of the spells used on the show thruout the entire 8 seasons of the show are included in the book along with hundreds of blank pages for one’s own additions. I’m just such a sucker for these kinds of collectibles (much to David’s chagrin, I can assure you) and this book is among the best of the bunch. I spent hours last night going thru all of the pages, it’s really a very cool grimoire. Okay … enough of my geekiness … I just had to share :)

Tonight, I had planned on seeing Massive Attack at The Wiltern but I think I’m going to skip it. Considering the emotional loss that my friends and I have suffered over the weekend, I think it might be nice to get together with friends tonight instead. Not sure exactly what the plan is but I hope it’ll be fun. Hope YOU are having a Happy Hump Day!!

Congratulations are in order for the CBS daytime drama series The Bold and the Beautiful who was awarded this week with the Guinness World Record for being the Most Popular Daytime TV Soap – Current. Taking into consideration how many continents the soap opera is aired and the massive ratings numbers, B&B has been officially classified as THE most popular soap in the world right now. Here are a few photos from the Guinness World Record certification ceremony that was held at CBS Studios here in LA, CA yesterday:

As a fan of the show, I knew that B&B was wildly popular in other parts of the world but I had no idea that it was quite this popular. Something about The Bold and the Beautiful strikes a cord with the world audience … much like Baywatch did in the 90′s. As you may know, Baywatch as THE most popular show in the world for many years. Yesterday we saw a photo of hot new couple Alexander Skarsgård and Kate Bosworth in Sweden together on a trip to meet the Skarsgård parents and today we get to see a few more pics of Bosgård out and about on the streets of Stockholm this week. While I’m hearing the couple have been getting to know one another for a few months now, it wasn’t until the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA last month that we started to see them together as a couple. Now that they’ve made their way to Sweden to meet Alexander‘s parents (a pretty serious move, I think) they appear happy to be seen together any and everywhere:

The rumor is that Alexander‘s father Stellan Skarsgård has been tellin’ folks that Bosgård have gotten real “serious” … but whether or not he actually is saying so AND whether or not it’s actually true is anyone’s guess. As I’ve said many times before, Alexander and Kate made a cute couple and they seem well-suited for one another. Who knows, mebbe the crazy kids will tie the knot and return home to the US as Mr. & Mrs. Skarsgård. Crazier things have happened …

Yesterday we got our first look at a new promo image from the new ad campaign for Glacéau Smart Water which features celebrity spokesmodel Jennifer Aniston. As you may recall, Jen showed off her ripped abs in that promo image. Today we get to see a couple other images from the ad campaign for Smart Water, tho these photos are less obviously sexy:

While I vastly prefer the photo we saw yesterday, these ain’t that bad. I mean, it can’t be easy to make water look sexy but I think Jen does just that. I’d say these photos are more pretty than they are sexy. You know, if her rom-com movie career ever peters out, Jennifer Aniston could still enjoy a happy career as a bottled water model.
