On Friday we got our first look at a 30-second promo trailer for the upcoming third season of True Blood but I, as I’m sure many of y’all, felt it was very too little a taste to sate my hunger for the upcoming season of True Blood. Thankfully, a new minute and a half trailer has made its way to the Internets that is much more satisfying to watch:

Yesterday I accompanied David’s family to Hawthorne, NJ to attend a 50th birthday for his aunt Mary Ellen at her home and we really had a fantastic time. I got to meet more of David’s family and a great time was had by all:

It felt really nice to be a part of the celebration … David’s family is so loving, so welcoming. They are amazing people to know … I’m so glad that we were able to make it out for the party. Birthday Lurve, again, goes out to aunt Mary Ellen! May she enjoy 50+ birthdays to come!!

But, as I mentioned yesterday, I received very sad news from Detroit and that has been weighing on my mind so much. My heart goes out to my dear friends at home who are suffering with so much pain right now. If I can work it out, I may fly back to Detroit later in the week to attend a funeral service. Please, if you have the time and inclination, send your thoughts and prayers out in order to bring healing comfort to my friends who are in pain. More importantly, please take some time today to tell the ones you love how much you love them. Life can be so fragile, love the people in your life as hard as you can and be thankful for your lives.

This afternoon, David and I fly back to LA … my coming week is still up in the air.

In previous weeks we got to see a spaceship on the Louisiana set of the upcoming big screen adaptation of the Green Lantern comic book … then we got to see a jet on set … then we got to see actor Peter Sarsgaard in costume as GL villain Dr. Hector Hammond on set … but today we get to see the man himself, Ryan Reynolds, on the set of Green Lantern. MTV‘s comic book site brings us our first look at Ryan on set wearing a special body suit because, as we’ve also learned previously, his Green Lantern costume will be made completely of GGI effects — in 3D:

Earlier this week we got our first look at Peter Sarsgaard in costume on the set of “Green Lantern,” but what about the film’s star, Ryan Reynolds? We know he won’t recite the Green Lantern oath for us, but what everyone’s really wondering is what he’ll look like when he suits up as Hal Jordan. Well, we’re psyched to say we’ve got a pic from the set of “Green Lantern” that, while it doesn’t show Reynolds in full-on costume, it does provide an indication of how that costume will be created for the big screen — and some confirmation of rumors we’ve heard previously … Reynolds is seen zipping up a full motion-capture suit on the set of “Green Lantern,” indicating some heavy CGI could indeed be used to bring the DC hero’s emerald-hued costume to life. Previously, “Green Lantern” co-writer and producer Greg Berlanti said the film’s team was “on lockdown” about the look they’re going for with the live-action Hal Jordan, though DC Entertainment’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns seemed to confirm that Reynolds’ costume will be more CGI than actual clothing. One thing we know for sure, however, is that the film’s female lead, Blake Lively, won’t wear Star Sapphire’s “pink bodysuit” any time soon. Oh, and you know what question is really bugging me after seeing that “Green Lantern” set pic? What’s up with the adorable little dog by Reynolds’ feet? (I really want to believe the dog is playing Ch’P.)

LOL! I had been lookin’ at this photo for some time before I even realized there was a cute dog in the pic. I mean, the dog is CRAZY cute but it kinda gets lost next to Ryan in his tight-fitted body suit (which is unzipped at the waist). I don’t know about you but I LOVE the idea of Green Lantern‘s costume being comprised of CGI effects. A computer-generated costume would suit Green Lantern very well. I doubt we’ll be seeing anything of the actual suit for a very long time. We may get a promo photo in a few months but I’m guessing we won’t see anything substantial until the first trailer gets released (prolly around Xmas). In any event, this photo is a great peek at what’s to come … I am so excited :)

Twilight actor and Calvin Klein Underwear model Kellan Lutz made a special in-person appearance at Macy’s department store in Herald Square here in NYC, NY yesterday to promote CK Underwear by showing off the CK Underwear that he wore to the event:

Very unfortunately, Kellan did not strip down to his skivvies to show off his undies but he was so kind as to give himself a wedgie to show ‘em off. I understand that Kellan was sweet enough to sign boxes of underwear for and pose with the folks who came out to see him at Macy’s yesterday. I guess since he is waiting to hear whether or not he’ll be featured in the upcoming Twilight film Breaking Dawn, he might as well keep himself bizzy with his other money-making endeavors.

Christina Aguilera is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Billboard magazine (wearing the sexy pair of Christian Louboutin boots that she wears on the cover of the latest issue of German GQ magazine) and in her coverstory interview she dismisses the haters and explains that after 10 years in the music biz, she ain’t got a damn thing to prove to anyone:

Amidst comparisons to Lady Gaga, the 29-year-old singer states, “I’m in it for the long haul, and a decade later in my career, I have nothing to prove. To anyone who wants to be negative, it’s like, ‘I’m obviously relevant enough to you for you to care and to talk and to evoke negative feelings inside of you.’ At this point in my career, I’m over any and all weird comparisons or negativity.” Christina claims making hit songs is not what inspires her: “There was actually a song that the label really wanted me to record, and I just said ‘no,’ because it didn’t fit on the album – it wasn’t creatively inspiring to me. They said, ‘It’s a hit, it’s a hit!’ And absolutely it’s a hit for someone. But it’s not for me, because when it jeopardizes my integrity too much I can’t do it. The hit thing… (sigh) ‘Who Let the Dogs Out’ was a f–king hit, you know what I mean?” Aussie singer, Sia, who is working with Christina is also quoted in the article saying, “Christina could shit in a bottle and her fans would still love it.”

LOL! Okay, I love Sia more than anything (she is among THE most exciting, talented and inventive artists in music right now) but the only thing “in a bottle” I want from Xtina is a Genie … NOTHING ELSE :) But getting back to Xtina‘s interview … I LOVE that she made it clear that she isn’t out to prove anything to anyone. She is so right … she’s been in the game way too long for ridiculous critics to maintain she’s “copying” anyone else. Love her or hate her, Xtina has always remained true to who she is. Early last week we got our first look at Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis) in full costume as Conan the Barbarian on the set of the upcoming movie remake of the original 80′s film (which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role) and today we get to see a few more photos of Jason as Conan. Pink reader Miguel pointed me in the direction of a Conan the Barbarian fansite that has even more photos clandestinely snapped from the set:

At first I was really bummed that meaty actor Kellan Lutz lost out on the chance to play Conan in this remake but these new photos of the very beefy Jason Momoa have changed my mind completely. The entire Beckham clan — David, Victoria, Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James and Cruz David — made their way to The Grove outdoor shopping center in Los Angeles, CA yesterday to attend the free outdoor concert put on by the Jonas Brothers. As I understand it, hundreds (thousands?) of kids and their families packed The Grove to see the Jonas Brothers play live … but Les Beckhams, as you might expect, got a VIP spot to watch the show:

Attending a concert full of hundreds of screaming girls, the Beckhams probably hoped that no one would pay them the blindest bit of attention. But as Victoria and David know only too well, wherever they go, so do the photographers, who seemed to pay more attention to them than the Jonas Brothers on stage. The couple took their three sons – Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, seven and five-year-old Cruz to the Grove shopping centre in Los Angeles yesterday to watch the trio who were performing a free concert for their fans. And while the family may have been hoping to blend into the crowd, they were soon spotted arriving at the shopping centre and being shown to a prime spot overlooking the stage. Even the Jonas Brothers fans know a top celebrity when they see one and they soon diverted their attention away from their pin-ups to snap the famous family. The Beckhams seemed to be enjoying the concert, especially the youngest Beckham boys, Romeo and Cruz, who clapped and sang along. They even wore their trendiest boy band-esque outfits for the occasion, Romeo in jeans, white t-shirt and a black waistcoat, while Cruz, ever the showman, wore jeans, and a Bruce Springsteen t-shirt which he teamed with red-framed sunglasses. Older boy Brooklyn, however, played it cool next to his excited siblings, amused by their excitement. And while David, 35, laughed and clapped along with his sons, Victoria, 36, appeared to slip away halfway through the gig, the lure of the surrounding shops possibly proving to great for her … The Beckhams are enjoying some quality time time together before David heads off to the World Cup finals to join the England team on June 2. He will not be joining his teammates on the pitch as he has still not fully recovered from recovers from his torn Achilles tendon which he injured while playing for AC Milan in March. Instead, he will travel to South Africa as a member of the England coaching staff.

These photos are so cute!! I love little Cruz‘s snazzy outfit. The shaved mohawk coupled with the red sunglasses and the AWESEOME Bruce Springsteen Born In The USA t-shirt all come together to make the BEST.OUTFIT.EVER. It’s always a nice treat to see the Beckham fam out and about together … and this is no exception. I’m hearing that The Grove was a NIGHTMARE to navigate (or to park at) due to the Jonas show but it’s cute that Les Beckhams dealt with all the hoopla to be part of it all.
