We know that the third installment of The Twilight Saga film franchise, Eclipse, will open in movie theaters on June 30 but today not only do we learn that the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for the film will be released on June 8 but we also learn which of the hottest indie bands/performers will be featured on the disc. Just this week, Summit Entertainment, Chop Shop Records and Atlantic Records confirmed the first details of “THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE – ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK,” the musical companion to the third installment in Summit’s film franchise. Yesterday, MySpace Music exclusively revealed the soundtrack’s highly anticipated tracklisting. Throughout the day, MySpace Music announced a new soundtrack artist every half hour. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is slated to open in theatres nationwide on June 30th. Due in stores and online June 8th, the “THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE” soundtrack features songs that will appear in the movie, highlighted by Muse’s brand new single “Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever).” The single, which is exclusive to the “ECLIPSE” soundtrack, will premiere worldwide this coming Monday, May 17th, when it also becomes available to download on iTunes. In addition to Muse, the soundtrack features new songs from Metric, The Dead Weather, Vampire Weekend, Cee Lo Green, The Bravery, Beck and Bat For Lashes, Florence + The Machine, UNKLE featuring The Black Angels, Fanfarlo and more. As you may recall, the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon was full of the coolest indie bands (including a solo track from Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke) so it makes sense that the soundtrack for Eclipse would have the same feel. It would seem that shock-rock musician (and sometime painter) Marilyn Manson (née Brian Warner) is a fan of the ABC series Lost becuase he posted a water color painting he did of Lost character John Locke (played by Terry O’Quinn) and posted it on his official Facebook profile … behold:

Not bad … not bad at all. To be honest, the artwork that Marilyn Manson has been putting out is much more interesting than the music he’s been releasing lately. This is actually a pretty cool/creepy homage to the character of John Locke. I understand MM was inspired to paint this portrait to sate bandmate Twiggy Ramirez‘s obsession with Lost. No word on if Twiggy (née Jeordie White) approves but I have to give this painting two thumbs up!

Great news, foodie fans! Bravo TV announced today that Top Chef: Washington DC will debut with an all new season on June 16! Here is our first look at the new cast of the competitively reality TV show and the full text of the press release announcement:

Taste the culinary power on the seventh season of the No. 1 food show on cable, Bravo’s Emmy and James Beard Award-winning series “Top Chef: Washington D.C.,” premiering Wednesday, June 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. The 17 new chef’testants come face to face in the nation’s capitol for the ultimate power play that will determine just who has the chops to become Top Chef. Thomas Jane, the sexy star of the HBO series Hung (one of my fave shows, set in my beloved Detroit, MI) is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Men’s Fitness magazine. In his coverstory interview, Jane talks about a great many things … including how “textbook average” he is … right down to his, well, you know what. Here is our first look at Thomas Jane on the cover of Men’s Fitness and some excerpts from his coverstory interview:

Although he plays the ultimate stud on HBO’s Hung, Thomas Jane is just an average guy. At least that’s what the 41-year-old heart throb tells Men’s Fitness. “I’m a textbook average guy,” says Jane, who graces the cover of the magazine’s current edition (June/July). “I’m 5’10”, I wear a model suit size — 40 regular, 32-inch waist pant — and a size 10 shoe. Everything about me is prototypical. Everything. I even have a right-down-the middle-exactly-average cock.” Well, at least he’s honest. Here are some more Jane nuggets from the June/July Issue of Men’s Fitness, as provided to the Keeping Fit blog by a PR rep for the magazine.

On how his training saved him from injuries: “I was cruising down the sidewalk and started fishtailing from side to side. I raced by this guy and went, ‘Woo-o-o-o-o.’ He turned and I started showing off — and the skateboard started to hydroplane and spin out. I flew off the board, tucked my shoulder, hit the ground, did a 360-degree flip, and landed on my feet. If it weren’t for my training, it could have been a hell of a lot worse.”

On training with former Dodgers outfielder Reggie Smith for his role as Mickey Mantle in the 2001 HBO film 61*: “Reggie had me eating tuna fish in the morning, lunch, evening, snack. Mickey [Mantle] was built like a bull. It wasn’t about definition. Mickey and those guys didn’t have six packs. They were farm boys, corn-fed, and they were big. That’s the kind of look I was going for.”

On his old eating habits: “On the day I would wrap a movie, my old ritual was to have a six-pack of Guinness and half a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts waiting in my trailer. That was my reward”

On how his trainer, Christine Hazelton, made the gym fun: “She turned [the gym] into a science — the mystery of how your body actually grows a muscle, the meditative aspect of lifting weights and working through the pain.”

On his humble beginnings: “Sometimes, I drive my Maserati by park benches that I’ve slept on. I feel a small sense of achievement.”

Ah … Tommy … he’s a hottie, no? I’ll admit, I wasn’t a huge fan of his before Hung debuted on HBO last year but he is really fantastic in that series and is really easy on the eyes … especially in the hot work-out photos featured in this issue of Men’s Fitness. Last night David and I met up with his sister Eden and his friend Issac for a delicious dinner at Havana NY. I was in the mood for Cuban food and Havana NY did NOT disappoint … dinner was amazing. But, I have to say, the best part about dinner last night was that our dear friend Jordan (who lives with us in SoCal) met us for dinner cuz he’s in town for a couple of days. We love Jordan so much and are happy to hang out with him wherever in the world we can find him:

It was kinda cold last night (and I was lookin’ like ass) but nothing could keep our spirits down. We had a great time out on the town.

I’m hearing good things about this show but I hope I don’t spend the whole time comparing it to the film version The Birdcage (which is one of my fave comedies ever). We shall see!!

Lisa Marie Presley, ex-wife of the late Michael Jackson, has posted a new blog on her official My Space profile wherein she reaches out to MJ fans with a plan to honor his memory. In her blog, Lisa Marie explains that sunflowers were MJ‘s favorite flowers and she asks that all of his fans send bouquets of sunflowers to brighten up his final resting place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA. Greetings MJ Fans….

While visiting him a few days ago at Forest Lawn , Riley and I couldn’t help but notice that, while there are a few bouquets , candles and gifts there is a very large empty space around him and in front of him that could use a whole lot more. While , I am sure that the staff at The Holy Terrace do their very best to place what is sent and what is placed at the door at his tomb , I thought you might like to know that he would want and deserves more than what is there and I had an idea……. Some may or may not know this but his favorite flower was the Sunflower. They made him happy because they looked happy to him , Thus, he called them “The Happy Flower”. When we were married , I would try and fill up rooms with them wherever he was. I wanted to bring something to place near him that he liked and that wouldn’t die so I brought a large vase of silk sunflowers and placed them near him. This barely made any kind of dent in the atmosphere so I thought of maybe letting those who care know what the situation is and how we can solve it. I know how much he loved and appreciated being showered with Gifts and flowers by his fans , I thought if whoever wants to bought just one silk sunflower each and sent it , the whole area around him and in front of him (As well as the two large empty vases that sit on either side of him) could be filled up in no time , which would be much more appropriate than what the current status is right now. We can all cause a “Sun shower” if you will……….. He deserves to be flooded and surrounded , LETS SURROUND HIM!

This has to be one of the sweetest things I ever heard. While their marriage may not have worked out, it is plainly clear that Lisa Marie still loves and cares for Michael very much. Remember last month when we got to see an amazing short film called Pixels (created by a man named Patrick Jean) that showed New York City being destroyed by cute 8-bit animated characters from classic 80′s video games? Well, it turns out that Adam Sandler (thru his production company Happy Madison) has secured the rights to Pixels in order to adapt it into a big screen feature film:

Columbia Pictures and Happy Madison are in early talks to develop a movie based on Patrick Jean’s video-game themed sci-fi invasion video Pixels, which has become a viral sensation. No deal yet at Columbia, but Happy Madison bought the rights to Jean’s work and Adam Sandler’s company is a fixture on the lot. The idea would be to do it in 3D.

HMMMM … I’m really on the fence about this. While I really love this short film as a viral vid, I’m not totally convinced it would work necessarily as a feature film. That being said, District 9 started out as a short film and it was very successfully adapted into an amazing feature film … so in the right hands, it could deffo work.
