The principal cast of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (namely Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner) will appear on tomorrow’s episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show but today we get our first look at their appearance on the show. In one part of the interview. R. Pattz reveals to Oprah Winfrey that his first career choice was not actor … it was rapper:

“I used to want to be a rapper when I was, like, 14,” the actor says during an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show alongside costars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, which is set to air Thursday. Rap music wasn’t the only American entertainment Pattinson, who turns 24 on Thursday, enjoyed. “I grew up watching American movies and stuff,” he tells Oprah. So, what’s it like to star in one of the most popular American movie franchises in recent years? “It’s a great position to be in because you can walk into a room and everybody’s screaming,” he says of the rapturous fan response, which will only grow stronger as their latest chapter, Eclipse, hits theaters June 30. But Pattinson thinks a lot of the enthusiasm is less about him and more about his character, Edward Cullen. “It’s not really about you,” he says. “So, it never really goes to your head and you can kind of participate in it. It’s about the fans themselves. A lot of people, they just like doing Twilight-related things.” And his costar, Taylor Lautner, agrees. “It’s really unlike anything else,” Lautner, 18, says. “It’s amazing; over the past two years, I’ve had the time of my life. I couldn’t be more thankful.”

After a young lifetime of living a life of seclusion out of the public eye, Michael Jackson‘s children are finding new fame and notoriety on the Internets. Each of MJ‘s children — Prince Michael Joseph, Paris Michael Katherine and Prince Michael Joseph II aka Blanket — are featured in video clips that have been uploaded to You Tube for our viewing pleasure. Earlier this month we saw photos of David Beckham back up and around on his own two feet walking around SoCal after having had his foot brace removed as he recuperates from his Achilles tendon surgery. Today we get to see new pics of Becks walking around brace-less as he made his arrival back in London today:

His Achilles injury may have scuppered his chances of playing in the World Cup, but David Beckham still looks set to play a role at the tournament. Today it emerged that he had turned down a host of lucrative deals to work as a TV pundit because he hopes to perform a job for England coach Fabio Capello. The 35-year-old sportsman, who was today pictured arriving at Heathrow Airport from his Los Angeles base, had been flooded with offers from the BBC, ITV, ESPN and TV stations from South America, South Africa, Asia and the Middle East. But it seems Becks has decided to put his country before his bank balance, freeing himself up to do what’s needed in the England camp. His exact duties will depend on the discussions he has with England manager Fabio Capello – but the veteran former captain, with more than 100 caps to his name, is popular among the squad and could provide an A-list morale boost. Capello has said he believes Beckham can be ‘an important man in the dressing room’ despite his injury. And Becks is already involved in England’s bid to host the World Cup in 2018. His arrival into the UK today comes ahead of his trip to Zurich in Switzerland on Friday where he will hand over the candidate file to FIFA president Sepp Blatter. Princes William and Harry have also agreed to woo FIFA executive committee members as part of the bid.

I love that Becks is doing what he can to be a part of the English Team (even if he can’t play with them) but I think he is passing on a huge opportunity to be a commentator for the World Cup. I suppose the last thing that Becks needs is more money but … damn, he could really clean up if he took a commentary gig. I suppose some part of him feels that if he sticks with the team and they end up winning, then he’ll be part of that win. Considering this is the last World Cup of his soccer career, I can’t say I really blame him. In the end, it’s a blessing that he’s even walking so soon after his accident. Yay for Becks!!

Jane Lynch, who plays the deliciously evil Sue Sylvester on Glee, is the latest celeb to team up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to speak out in defense of animals everywhere. Jane sat down with PETA to discuss the subject of animal overpopulation in an attempt to get folks to spay or neuter their pets so that the number of unwanted pets can go down. Here are a few screencaps from Jane‘s PETA interview and some deets about her involvement with the animal rights organization:

Golden Globe nominee and Screen Actors Guild Award winner Jane Lynch, who has been entertaining audiences for more than a decade, took time out of her busy schedule playing twisted Cheerios coach Sue Sylvester on the Fox hit series Glee to put her comedic spin on a new public service announcement (PSA) for PETA. Jane’s funny video tackles a serious issue—the animal overpopulation crisis. Jane explains, “[T]here’s 8 to 10 million dogs that are put into shelters every year and only about half of them are adopted out, so the other half are euthanized. And you know, it’s a terrible thing to come into this world only to be, you know, taken out prematurely, so we can control this population by spay and neutering our own pets.” Save lives by spaying or neutering your animal companions immediately … The only way to create a “no-kill” nation is to make it a “no-birth” one. There are plenty of organizations across the nation, such as PETA’s SNIP mobile clinic, that offer no-cost or low-cost sterilizations. Your local animal shelter (call there first) or 1-800-248-SPAY should be able to refer you to existing programs and participating veterinarians. Jane, a Chicago-area native, is so passionate about this issue that she has written to the mayor of Chicago asking him to pass a law requiring people to spay or neuter their cats and dogs.

True Blood, as part of their 12-week Waiting Sucks ad campaign, has released the latest poster to tease and excite viewers for the return of the show on Sunday June 13. As you should be well aware, werewolves will be introduced into the True Blood mythos of creatures this coming season and today’s poster is all about werewolves on True Blood:

In the latest in a series of promotional posters for the hit vampire drama True Blood, HBO is hinting at things — namely werewolves — to come. Joe Manganiello has signed on to play werewolf Alcide Herveaux, a season 3 love interest for Anna Paquin‘s Sookie Stackhouse. In the books by Charlaine Harris that the show is based on, Alcide helps Sookie search for her beloved vampire beau Bill Compton (played by Stephen Moyer), who went missing at the end of season 2. Sookie isn’t the only one getting a love interest. Southland star Kevin Alejandro is joining the cast as well to play Jesus, who will catch the eye of Lafayette, Bon Temps flashy short-order cook. Could he be another wolf in sheep’s clothing?

This poster may give us a taste of what the werewolves on True Blood will look like (in wolf form, we’ve already seen what they look like in man form) but a new promo video, also released this week, gives us a real peek at what they will look like. Check it out after the jump …

After many recommendations and suggestions from many people, David and I decided to see Green Day’s American Idiot musical at the St. James Theater on Broadway last night. I’m gonna cut right to the chase and say that the show wasn’t really my thing. I had heard and read many good things about the show and was hopeful that I would love it as much as so many others do … unfortch that turned out not to be the case. Before I get to the negative, let’s talk about the positive. The New Yorker magazine wrote the positive review of the show that I most agree with, here’s what they had to say:

Green Day’s theatrical reimagining of the punk band’s 2004 album is an exciting example of the innovative director Michael Mayer’s single-minded attempt to drag the musical into the twenty-first century. In telling the show’s minimal story, Mayer, who co-wrote the book with Billie Joe Armstrong, Green Day’s lead singer and guitarist, jumps between vivid, fragmentary moments, letting sensation substitute for psychology. Three disaffected youths, Johnny (John Gallagher, Jr.), Will (Michael Esper), and Tunny (Stark Sands), decide to leave suburbia (“this hurricane of fucking lies”) and go in search of themselves. Johnny finds drugs; Tunny finds himself in the military and then an amputee; Will, who never actually leaves home, gets a girl pregnant and finds himself a couch potato. “American Idiot” answers the digital age’s requirements of speed, instant gratification, and accessibility. It is a rip-roaring and original musical event. It has not, however, cracked the challenge of characterization. The show has personality, but its characters don’t. Armstrong’s mischievous twinkle is the missing ingredient in the show’s sensational nihilistic hubbub.

While I can sorta see where all the rave reviews are coming from, I do not really agree with them. Wanna know my take on the show? Read on …

That’s my girl, she always cleans up nicely. I’m not certain but I believe this shoot was for a video commercial but I wouldn’t be surprised if we also got to see promo photos as well. Candie’s chose well when they decided to hire Britney Spears to promote their clothing and accessories for two years in a row. I can’t wait to see what they come up with together for this new phase of the campaign.

Britney Spears and her agent/beau Jason Trawick have split, y’all … on a professional level, that is. People magazine is reporting that Britwick have decided to end their professional relationship so that they can move forward seriously with their personal romantic relationship. Many folks find it difficult to believe that a couple who work together professionally can also sustain a personal relationship … it would appear that Britwick agree. In professional terms, Britwick are dunzo, y’all!

Britney Spears is parting with Jason Trawick as her agent, but keeping him as a beau. The two “have decided to end their professional relationship and focus on their personal relationship,” a Spears rep tells PEOPLE. “Since wrapping her recent world tour, Spears has been busy in the studio working on her next album.” The singer and Trawick began dating last summer and have dodged engagement rumors for months. “They are very happy,” a source said of the couple. “Things are really good with them.”

I have to say, I think this is for the best. While I don’t necessarily think that a couple can’t work together professionally and still maintain a romantic relationship, I think Britwick‘s situation is unique. If they were going to break off one of their two relationships I’m glad they decided to sever their professional one rather than their personal one. As I’ve said all along, I like Britwick together. If this end to their professional relationship means they can move forward with their personal relationship then I am all for it. Long live Britwick!! What do y’all think, does this sound like a good move on their part to you?
