Reese Witherspoon Kicks It With Her Men

Celeb mom Reese Witherspoon spent part of her Mother’s Day weekend chillin’ with her son Deacon Reese and her new boyfriend Jim Toth in Brentwood, CA yesterday at one of Deacon’s soccer games. Here are a couple photos of Reese with the two men in her life these days:

Reese is deffo one of the coolest celeb moms in Hollywood and it’s so great to see that she was able to spend some time with both Deacon and Jim this weekend. We know that she’s already introduced her children to her new beau so it would seem that she is now trying to get little D to bond with Jim. It looks like Reese‘s Mother’s Day weekend got off to a great start. Happy Mother’s Day to her and, again, to all the fabulous moms out there who take care of us all!

The TV Guide
I’m In A NY State Of Mind

David and I made it to NYC safe and sound … and MOSTLY without incident. The flight wasn’t bad at all, the taxi situation into the city was a breeze … but a mix-up with upon arrival at our home-away-from home almost ruined our entire night. Long story short, we had to go out for a late supper and had to miss watching Betty White on Saturday Night Live live … I wasn’t able to watch it until this morning. We did get to meet up with our friend Issac for drinks so … we had a fab night nonetheless. I am really looking forward to this week in the city … and let me tell you about our view of Central Park:

It’s a bit chilly and very windy but … it’s the Big Apple, yo!

This afternoon we are surprising David’s parents, who are in the city this weekend, by showing up for Mother’s Day Brunch. They don’t know we’re here so it should be a fun surprise.

I want to send all my love to all y’all Moms out there. You are the most special people alive, thank you for everything.

And even tho my mom doesn’t read my blog (mainly because she has no idea how to work a computer or any sort of electronic device, really) I want to send all my Mother’s Day lurve to her today! XO

Weekend Hotness
Hot Dude Of The Week: Abel Ljoka

The time is, once again, upon us to take a moment to pause and reflect on the Hot Dude of the Week. Today’s specimen is a rugby and soccer playing swimmer who hails from Argentinian and is photographed by Rick Day. Say hello to Abel Ljoka:

Ahem … it would seem that this rugby/soccer playing swimmer needs to add wrestler to his résumé. I imagine quite a few of you wouldn’t mind rolling around on a mat with Abel here. I am very fond of the sporty look in Hot Dudes but this guy has more of an I’m Too Sexy-look rather than a strictly sporty-look (I blame the jewelry). In any event, here is here for our enjoyment … anyone wanna wrestle? Enjoy!!

Betty White delivers THE best episode of 'SNL' EVER!
Betty White Hosts ‘Saturday Night Live’

Welp … she did it. At 88 (and a half) years old, Betty White very successfully hosted her very first episode of Saturday Night Live last night and I am thrilled to proclaim that her performance lived up to all the hype. I had no doubt in my mind that Betty would be a fantastic SNL host but her performance far exceeded even my expectations. Because SNL brought back 6 fabulous female former castmates (Amy Poehler, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, Molly Shannon, Rachel Dratch, Tina Fey) to appear on the show with her, I thought that Betty‘s hosting duties might be diminished a bit. Not only did Betty hold her own amid this amazing sea of comedic talent but she also participated in pretty much every single skit (she even appeared in the opening skit and managed to change outfits during the credits before coming out to do her monologue!). THE WOMAN IS 88! AND, if you can believe it, the writing was actually good … nay, hilarious! IMHO, Betty delivered last night some of the funniest zingers ever uttered on the SNL stage. HILARIOUS!! Here is the batch of promo photos of Betty White as featured on SNL last night:

Betty White truly is a treasure … both comedic and otherwise. We are so lucky to have her … we really are. I’m hard-pressed to pick a favorite skit because all of them brought the LULz but if I had to pick one … I’d go with the NPR: Delicious Dish skit. In all honesty, I started to get uncomfortable with all of the muffin innuendo midway thru the skit. That is comedy gold, y’all. If you missed last night’s ep or just want to a refresher on how amazing it was, check out a batch of videos from last night’s Betty White ep of Saturday Night Live after the jump …

Their favorite polo pony suffers a deadly heart attack
Prince William & Prince Harry Suffer A Tragic Loss

Sad news for the Princes of Wales to pass along today … during a polo match that both Prince William and Prince Harry participated in yesterday, their favorite polo pony Drizzle suffered a deadly heart attack right in the middle of competition. Prince Harry was riding Drizzle when he felt that something was wrong with the horse … after Drizzle was walked off the field for a check-up, she very sadly suffered a heart attack and died. Here are a few photos of the princes at yesterday and the sad deets of what went down:

Princes William and Harry were ‘very upset’ after their favourite polo pony collapsed and died of a heart attack during a match. Harry had just played a chukka in the second half of the charity match at Coworth Park in Berkshire when he realised that his ten-year old pony, Drizzle, was struggling. He noticed that the brown mare was not running comfortably and decided to take her out of the match. ‘Harry instinctively realised that something was wrong with Drizzle,’ a senior Palace aide told The Mail on Sunday. ‘He decided to ride her to the side of the pitch and she was then walked off. Sadly within minutes she suffered a heart attack and died.

‘William and Harry are very, very upset – Harry was in tears.’ Fortunately spectators were spared the distress of watching the incident. ‘It was very lucky that Harry rode her off because we were spared the gruesome spectacle of watching the pony die,’ a guest told The Mail on Sunday. ‘Harry and William were shaken. Harry had a cigarette at the end of the game and said he did not want to stay for the lunch because he was so upset. He kept saying he couldn’t believe what had happened. Everyone was telling him not to blame himself. Unfortunately these things happen.’ The pony was kept at stables close to the Prince of Wales’s Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire, and had always been kept by the Royal Family. Prince Charles used to ride Drizzle until he gave up playing polo competitively in 2005, and aides said he would be informed of the death. ‘Drizzle is very special to the boys and Prince Charles,’ said the source. ‘The Prince hasn’t been told yet but he will be informed. Drizzle was part of the pool of Royal ponies and all the Princes were very fond of her. It was not the end to the day they had hoped for. It’s been rather distressing.’ Despite the death, the Princes – who were playing for The Prince William Team against The Audi Team – won 5-4.

What a horribly tragic incident. Just Friday we got to see photos of Harry looking so happy at the UK ceremony where he was presented with his military pilot’s wings. To suffer such a loss in this way is just heartbreaking. Fortunately, there are a couple of other photos of Prince Harry at yesterday’s event that are far from tragic — in fact, they are quite hawt. After the jump, check ‘em out …

Holy cuteness, Batman!
Gwen Stefani & Her Bat Boys

Here are a few supercute photos of Gwen Stefani with her young sons Kingston James McGregor and Zuma Nesta Rock at a costume birthday party in SoCal yesterday afternoon … as you can tell from the photos, Kingston and Zuma each dressed as different incarnations of Batman:

While Kingston was dressed as the modern all black Batman, Zuma was decked out as the old skool black and gray Batman. When I was a kid, I don’t remember any of the birthday parties of my youth being costume parties. These celeb kids really get all the fun. It looks like a fun but exhausting day for Gwen and the boys. I suspect today will be much less stressful for the mom of two. The boys may have played superheroes yesterday but I’m guessing Gwen will play the mother goddess today for Mother’s Day :)

All the LA-vers
Kylie Minogue Surfaces In LA, Shoots A Music Video

Kylie Minogue, who will be releasing her new single All the Lovers this coming Friday May 14 (pushed up from a previous release date in June), has surfaced in Los Angeles, CA this week. Kylie did a bit of shopping on Melrose Ave. and popped up around town lookin’ as fabulous as ever:

It turns out, tho, that Kylie‘s visit to SoCal isn’t just for fun … she is in town to film the music video for All the Lovers with famed music video director Joseph Kahn (who created some of the most iconic pop music videos of the early 2000′s). After the jump, check out a few photos of Kylie on the SoCal set of her new music video …

Hoppy Mother's Day!
Bethenny Frankel Gives Birth To A Baby Girl

Congratulations are in order for Bethenny Frankel and hubby Jason Hoppy who today at around 8AM ET Saturday morning welcomed the birth of a baby girl they have named Bryn Casey.

I will update this post with new information as soon as it becomes available (and when I can get to a computer, cuz right now I’m in a car on my way to the airport) but I wanted to post a hearty Congrats! to the happy family on their new addition!!!

Congrats and LOVE and welcome to the world Bryn Casey Frankel-Hoppy! And to you Bethenny, Happy Mother’s Day!!!

UPDATE: Here are the deets on baby Bryn‘s birth from People magazine:

“Bethenny and Jason are proud to welcome their new baby girl, Bryn Hoppy, born at 8 a.m. . . . in New York City,” the rep says. “She is a 4 lb. 12 oz., healthy baby. Bryn, mom, dad and [their dog] Cookie are all very happy.” Frankel and Hoppy, who were married March 28, were surprised to know the baby’s sex. “Jason won’t let me find out because he knows I’ll spoil it,” she told PEOPLE in an interview about her pregnancy. She did, however, Tweet, “I had a dream it was a girl.” So, it seems, dreams do come true!

Bethenny also managed to update her official Twitter profile after she gave birth to her baby girl, she tweeted:
