‘True Blood’ Season 3 Releases A 7th Promo Poster

Waiting continues to Suck this week … which means it’s time to check out the latest promo poster released for the upcoming 3rd season of True Blood. Here is our first look at the 7th (of 12) poster from the Waiting Sucks promo campaign for True Blood:

Shapeshifters got the love in last week’s poster but it’s back to the vamps in this week’s poster. This poster is cute … but I’m enjoying the A Drop of True Blood mini-episodes (Here and HERE) more than any of these poster offerings. We’re almost there, tho. The wait is almost over. We’re just a little over a month away from entire new eps of True Blood.

Watch: Beyoncé, ‘Why Don’t You Love Me’

On Monday we got a sneak peek at the new Beyoncé music video for her latest single Why Don’t You Love Me and today we get to see the final product. For some reason, B seems really insistent that you take notice of her booty … which is kinda weird considering the old skool, “traditional” look of the vid:

Perhaps this video is meant to be a critique of the role of women in the 50′s and 60′s, perhaps the video has more to say than just what is perceived on the surface. Perhaps Beyoncé has been watching too many eps of Mad Men and she wanted to put her spin on that era of US history. Whatever the case may be, you can watch the music video for Why Don’t You Love Me in full after the jump …

Oh, yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah!
Kevin Federline Pays A Visit To Target

A couple weeks ago we saw pics of Kevin Federline lookin’ a bit large and in charge on the streets of SoCal just weeks after he signed on to appear on VH1‘s Celebrity Fit Club in order to lose weight. At the time, it appeared that his baggy clothing might’ve been the cause for his perceived larger size. Today we get to see even newer, more recent photos of K-Fed out and about (at Target, actually) wearing more baggy clothes … and still lookin’ like he put back on the weight that he had lost on Fit Club:

Yeah … red in any shade is not a good look for The Federline. No, not at all.

Conan O’Brien Visits Google Headquarters

A couple of weeks ago, while on tour with his Legally Prohibited from being Funny on Television Tour, Conan O’Brien made a wee pit stop at Twitter headquarters to say hello and entertain the troops there. Today we learn that Coco made a similar stop at Google headquarters earlier today before his tour stop at San Jose State tonight … he even tweeted about it:

I’m in San Jose and I’m going to visit Google. If you look up ‘Google’ on Google from Google, you see the face of God.

Conan O’Brien is currently touring the country with his “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour.” Today he ventures to Google for a joint Google/YouTube affair prior to his show at San Jose State later this evening. The comedian just tweeted about the visit, and tweets and TwitPics from excited Googlers are already circulating the Twitterverse as the Google (Google) auditorium fills up. In fact, given that the crowd seems to be outfitted with laptops and mobile devices galore (as evidenced in the photos below), we can expect a smattering of digital Conan memorabilia to emerge from today’s visit similar to what we saw when the comedian visited Twitter’s offices last month.

It seems clear that Conan is a fan of internet technology and the folks who make it. Might we expect him to make similar visits to Yahoo!? Apple? Microsoft? Adobe? You Tube? X-Tube? One can only hope. Stay tuned.

Sarah Jessica Parker Does ‘Marie Claire’ Magazine

Sarah Jessica Parker, who is lookin’ not herself in the latest poster for Sex and the City 2, is looking absolutely flawless on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Marie Claire magazine. Here is our first look at her new MC coverphoto and some excerpts from the accompanying article:

Unless you’ve been on a Cosmo bender for the last few months, you know that Sex and the City 2 is headed to the multiplex, and with it, every red-blooded, Louboutin-loving woman in America. The buzz began last summer with the first location shoots, when mobs of fans followed the trailers around New York City like rock groupies gunning for a seat on the bus … Now, as opening night approaches, big questions loom: What will befall the now-midlife fab four? Will the sequel bust the $415 million worldwide chick-flick record set by its predecessor? And the other multimillion-dollar question: Do Sarah Jessica Parker and Cattrall really hate each other? Parker demurs on all counts, especially the last. The film’s star and producer — who says she’s seen to “every detail, every atom” of the movie since shooting wrapped in late 2009 — compares the behind-the-scenes tension to that of any busy office. “When you’re on set, you’re working 90-hour weeks, you’re never home, you’re exhausted,” she says. “There are times when all of us have been sensitive, and sometimes feelings get hurt. But I don’t have any regrets about how I’ve treated people.” Cattrall maintains that “the chemistry among the four of us is very strong.” So why have stories of enmity and infighting followed the cast since before the first movie came out, when Cattrall reportedly made a fuss about Parker’s salary being twice her own? “Because the press has to put women in these boxes, rather than show them as the movie portrays them: working together and being powerful,” says Cattrall. “Things just have to be explosive for no other reason than for people’s imaginations.” Kristin Davis, the resident cheerleader — who with Parker organized a Thanksgiving Day dinner of couscous and turkey for members of the cast and crew in Morocco — laughs off the idea of infighting. “There was a very strange piece in one of the tabloids that said Kim and I would eat in the restaurant of our hotel and not sit together, which cracks me up,” she says, actually cracking up. “When I would get back from the set, I would go to the gym and get room service. I’m not a put-on-decent-clothes-and-go-to-the-hotel-restaurant person, but Kim is. The story was that we don’t like each other. Ridiculous!” The group has had their disagreements, admits Cynthia Nixon. “It hasn’t always been smooth sailing,” she says. “But the idea that we’re somehow adversarial is ludicrous.”

This Marie Claire article actually does talk about the movie some (rather than the perceived feud between the women) and the online version can be read at MC‘s official website HERE. After the jump check out some stunning photos of the Sex and the City ladies lookin’ hawt, hawt, hawt as featured in this new mag …

The TV Guide
Iron Man Is THE Man

Last night, I was given the opportunity to attend an early screening of Iron Man 2, a film that I have been superexcited to see for many months now. Try as I did, I was not able to curtail my high hopes that the film would be as amazing as the first Iron Man film. It is my extreme pleasure to announce to all y’all that Iron Man 2 is a damn good film that I loved entirely:

Considering how good Iron Man was, this new sequel had a lot to live up to. I’m happy to report that all the fun, all the great superhero fun that we all love in the original film is also featured in this sequel. Because the film is still a couple of days from wide release here in the US, I do not want to spoil anything. I will say that this second film, as most follow-up sequels tend to be, is a bit darker than the first film but nowhere near so that it takes away from the enjoyment of the film. Tony Stark has a lot to deal with on his plate, more than just a new super villain out to destroy Iron Man, but Robert Downey, Jr. handles the character just as expertly as he did in Iron Man. RDJ‘s interplay with Gwyneth Paltrow (who plays the loveable Pepper Potts) is just so great … they make an amazing on-screen duo. Mickey Rourke does a great job as Ivan Vanko/Whiplash but Sam Rockwell (as Justin Hammer) really steals the show. He is such a hateful douchebag in this film, I really enjoyed loathing him thruout the entire film. If there is any weak player, it has to be Scarlett Johansson … but, honestly, she is not bad in this film at all. Of all the players, tho, she was my least fave.

The film teases an upcoming Marvel superhero film in the plot (it’s brief but very funny) and teases another film at the very end, after the credits finish rolling. I shant say a word about either spoiler but Marvel fans will rejoice, I assure you. I just loved this movie so much! It’s a worth follow-up to Iron Man and I am really looking forward to seeing it again.

David and I have something special planned to celebrate Cinco de Mayo tonight. After the jump, find out what we’re doing …

You better work-out

Last night Glee gave us another fantastic music video parody by featuring villainess Sue Sylvester (played by Jane Lynch) dueting with Olivia Newton-John in a video for her massive hit 1981 single Physical. In case you missed, it you can watch it in full HERE:

For some strange reason, this video has been flipped backward but you still get the gist of its awesomeness. There have been a lot of great Glee versions of some of my favorite songs but this one has to be a new fave. The video presented on Glee last night was shot scene-by-scene exactly like the original 1981 music video, which you can watch here for comparison:

LOL!! The old video still holds up, don’t it? But I’m loving the new version as well. Which video do you prefer or do you love them both like I do?

Joel Madden Steps Out With His Little ‘American Girl’

Here are a couple of really cute pics of daddy Joel Madden with his babygirl Harlow Winter after they did a bit of shopping at The Grove here in LA this past Monday. As you can tell, Joel took his little girl to American Girl Place to pick up some toys for her but she looked most excited to be spending time with her pappy:

These two … aren’t they the cutest? I love how doting both of Harlow‘s parents are but my heart just melts whenever I see how much her daddy loves to take care of her. I ain’t gonna lie, American Girl Place creeps me the HELL out (if you’ve ever been to one, I’m certain you’ll agree) but for some reason little girls love those dolls. I’m sure it’s a very small price to pay to keep Harlow happy with all the dolls she likes … after all, her parents get to enjoy the cutest doll of all in her.

First Look: ‘True Blood’, The Comic Book

Yesterday we got to watch the second mini-episode of the A Drop of True Blood mini-series (which will air weekly Sundays on HBO leading up to the season 3 premiere of True Blood on June 13) and today there is more TB goodness to share. The book series turned TV series is making yet another transition into a … comic book series. Here is our first look at the cover artwork for the new series:

It took about a month since we got confirmation of the new True Blood comic series coming from HBO and IDW Publishing to see the cover art, but it was definitely worth the wait! Alan Ball’s hit HBO series, the sensually sizzling story of the lives and loves of vampires, mind readers, and all manner of creature, comes to IDW! Blood and sex mix on a hot rainy night at Merlotte’s, when Sookie and her friends are trapped by a vengeful spirit who feeds on shame. People die and dirty secrets are revealed as Sookie, Bill, Eric, Sam, Tara, Jason, and Lafayette are all coerced to dig deep and tell painful memories from their past — those things we all have locked within us that we never tell another living soul! Bon Temps, Louisiana has never been stranger, or more twisted, in a story co-plotted by True Blood series creator Alan Ball with a script by David Tischman (Bite Club) and Mariah Huehner and lush art by David Messina (Star Trek: Countdown). Bonus inside every issue: an exclusive pullout gatefold poster by David Messina! This six-issue series kicks off in July [at the San Diego Comic-Con], but you can click here to pre-order Issue #1 from TFAW!

While I’m usually of the mind that too much of a good thing can be bad, I’m actually on board with this comic book version of True Blood. I love the stylized way the characters look on the cover (except for Jason Stackhouse, who looks far too gaunt on this cover for my taste) and think this comic book series will be really fun for collectors. I suspect that this comic book version of True Blood will compliment the on-going TV series version but it remains to be seen if/how the two storylines might overlap/intersect. Still, I think this TB comic book thing is a great idea … what do y’all think? Do this look of any interest to any of y’all fangbangers?
