Sandra Bullock, who has been totally M.I.A. since the cheating scandal involving her husband Jesse James came to light, finally ventured out of her home in the Hollywood Hills to make her way out into the real world again. As you may recall, Sandra has canceled all public appearances in the past couple of weeks (starting with a scheduled appearance at the UK premiere of the film The Blind Side) and hasn’t once showed her face. Last night, she did go out in public … but she also managed to still NOT show her face:
Sandra Bullock braved a rare outing on Wednesday night- her first since the news of her husband Jesse James’ alleged infidelities hit the press. The actress, who has been laying low for the past two weeks, ducked out of her Hollywood Hills home flanked by security. “She looked dressed up, it was hard to tell but she looked pretty, as always,” an eyewitness said. “She had on makeup and a big blue hat. She was in the back of a big Mercedes.” As paparazzi vied for a clear shot, the security team shielded her from prying eyes with the help of umbrellas. Bullock was then whisked away to a Holmby Hills belonging to Gabriel Brener, chairman and CEO of Brener International Group, LLC, a private investment firm specializing in real estate, acquisitions and consolidations. It is based in Beverly Hills, Calif. After a brief visit Bullock left Brener’s home and returned to her Hollywood Hills pad … As of Tuesday, James has been holed up in sex rehab at the Sierra Tucson retreat in Arizona. RadarOnline.com exclusively learned that he is expected to be there for at least forty five days.
Ugh … I bet it felt good for Sandra to get out of the house again, even if for a little while … and even if under so much scrutiny. There have been many rumors going around regarding whether or not she will actually file for divorce from James … I, for one, hope she does. But, it’s a matter that she has to seriously consider and make a decision about on her own. I do not envy her position … but she’s a tough cookie. I know she’ll be fine. I think this first emergence is a sign that she’s finally becoming ready to re-enter the world again. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Good for her! I’m so tired of hearing about him and the skank he cheated with. I’m more concerned for Sandra and how she’s doing than how Jesse is doing. It seems like the only time Sandra’s name is mentioned is when they’re discussing how bad Jesse feels or how skanky the skank is. You know?
He is vile. He’s hoping she does manage to get out of that marriage asap.
I feel so bad for Sandra and even sadder for Jesse’s kids. They think of Sandra as a part of their family and it is obvious they love her and don’t want her removed from their lives. I hope no matter what happens she keeps a relationship with the kids going. They need a parent in their lives (other then their gross father and porn star ex-con mother)!

I really hope that she divorces him. It is completely her choice, but it is so depressing when so many women put up with it. I don’t think it sends a good message to young girls. Of course, she does have to focus on what is best for her, not society.

@ash and janelle, I guess we’re looking at a new trend of “addiction-as-excuse.” Tiger Woods is not an addict: he’s a classic profile of a narcissist; Jessie James is not an addict, he’s a scary and selfish bigot who likes rough trade. I hope and pray Ms. Bullock sees right through this man’s checking into rehab for the bs that it is and goes her own way.

If she divorces him, she loses the kids! :( I’m sure neither biological parent would allow her to continue a relationship w/ them, although it sounds like she’s better than both of them combined! If it wasn’t for those kids, I’d be all for her to dump his ass. But if she can get custody of the kids w/o him, then I’m all for it. She’s rich enough to find the lawyers that can make it happen! Team Sandy! :)

The girl has the right to hide herself. What she’s going through right now, if you’ve been through it yourself, you know it hurts like hell. Plus it’s all over the tabloids, all over the net…I wouldn’t want people looking at me either.
