Okay, I saw Clash of the Titans. Overall it is a good movie if you don’t compare it to the original. It is such a departure from the 80′s version. They should have just changed the name to something else. I enjoyed it but there were parts that were kind of lame. Hello, riding on Scorpions???? Anyways, totally worth seeing. I also saw it in 2D and it was good! OMG, Sam Worthington was made straight from the gods…HOT!
About the Oklahoma gay kid who was beat up and how Oklahoma doesn’t cover sexual orientation in their definition of hate crime – the fact is, a crime still occurred. *Multiple* crimes. The kid was assaulted. One crime. Then the assailants later broke and entered into his apartment. Two crimes. Then they vandalized the apartment they broke into. That’s three crimes. Hello. Whether this kid is gay or not, he’s still a citizen and crimes have been committed against him. If he was straight and had the same thing happened would they still be ignoring it? No. Because crimes happened. Assault, breaking and entering, vandalism and destruction of property. Hello clink.
Anyway, that story irks me.
@Madeleine — Yes, the story irks me too because I love Oklahoma but things like this make it sound horrible. That the state government is taking active steps to undermine the Federal laws for hate crimes is just disgusting. The conservatism of that state will be its undoing, and it kills me :(
Screw you, Federal law ignorers.
About the iPad – there’s going to be backlash of some sort. However, it’s a new product, of course there will be flaws. Best to just wait out a long time and then get one when they’ve fixed out the bugs, it’ll probably be worth the money by then.
love that you noted mccreadys birthday! i knew there was a mookie fan somewhere in you…
