It's Hammer time!
First Look: Chris Hemsworth As Thor

Yesterday we got our first look at the big bad villain The Destroyer as he will be featured in next year’s big screen adaptation of the comic book series Thor and today we get our first look at the God of Thunder himself. Marvel/Paramount has released the first image of actor Chris Hemsworth as Thor … behold:

Long hair, check. Stubbly beard, check. Shiny armor, check. All that’s missing is Thor‘s trusty hammer Mjǫllnir. Thus far, Hemsworth has the Thor-look down. As much as I’d love to see a fuller photo of this new incarnation of Thor, I get that we are only being teased since the movie won’t be released until this time next year. I’m loving what I’m seeing thus far … I really can’t wait to see more. I have new confidence that Chris Hemsworth will make a fantastic flesh and blood Thor. What do y’all think?

TMZ believes yes, I'm not so sure
Is Lindsay Lohan Headed For Jail?

TMZ has published a speculative new report that claims that Lindsay Lohan is bound for jail based on their claim that she has not satisfied successfully a judge’s order to attend alcohol education classes once a week — as part of the terms of her probation for a DUI conviction. According to this new report, TMZ seems confident that the ruling judge will surely make Lindsay pay by throwing her in jail. While I, personally, think that drying the poor girl out in the slammer might do her a world of good, I have a hard time believing that she will be punished in this way. Here are the deets from this new TMZ report that lay out their claim:

Lindsay Lohan has violated the terms of her probation and is headed for a showdown in court next month that will almost certainly land her in jail. Lohan — who is on probation for DUI — has not fulfilled the alcohol education requirement laid down by the judge … TMZ has learned. Judge Marsha Revel made it clear to Lindsay late last year, she must attend alcohol ed courses once every 7 days. The only exception — if she was in inpatient rehab. And the judge was explicit … if Lindsay did not comply with the terms of probation, she was going to jail. The school in which Lindsay enrolled is required by state law to inform the court only if the student is MIA for 21 days. So here’s the disconnect: The school has not reported an attendance violation … because Lindsay frequently waited until the 21st day to attend classes. Bottom line — Lindsay met the school’s requirement, but squarely violated the judge’s order. We’ve learned what’s going to come out at Lindsay’s progress hearing on May 20 — that she has habitually violated the judge’s requirement to attend classes at least once every 7 days. Judge Revel has made it clear to Lindsay — no more chances. If probation is violated, she’s going to jail … and probation was repeatedly violated. We asked Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, for comment and received the following email: “We have received no negative written report from the program and contend Ms. Lohan is therefore in compliance.” Good lawyering for sure, because — as we just told you — the program may not have a problem with Lindsay, but the judge is going to have a big problem.

The folks at TMZ seem pretty confident that the judge is going to incarcerate L. Lo for her alleged failure to comply with the terms of her probation … I’m just not convinced. If the legal system here in Hollywood actually forced celebrities to pay for their crimes, then I’d be more amenable to the argument that she might actually be punished. I just cannot believe that will be the case. The judge may extend her probation and “force” more stringent regulations but jail time? I don’t buy it. I do contend, tho, that if Lindsay truly believed that her dangerous actions would have serious consequences, she might better curb her behavior and actually learn a lesson or two. Until that happens, she’s gonna just keep doing whatever the hell she wants to do. I guess we’ll have to wait until this time next month to find out if Lindsay Lohan will actually be punished with anything, including jail time. We shall see what will happen.

"I’m out of character / I’m in rare form"
Watch: Christina Aguilera, ‘Not Myself Tonight’

At long last, after much teasing and lots of hypeChristina Aguilera has finally released the music video for her new single Not Myself Tonight. As some of you are well aware, Tonight is the first single to be released from Xtina‘s new album Bionic (due out in stores on June 8) and last night/this morning (at 12:01 AM ET, 9:01 PM PT) the video was unleashed upon the world … here are a few screencaps:

Considering all the sneak peeks we were given of the video before its release, I don’t think the final product will come as a surprise to anyone. It’s sexy, it’s risqué — it’s totally Xtina. Sure, many critics are saying that she is copying other artists (and I will agree that there are shades of Madonna in the video [there are scenes that deffo seem to pay homage to her music videos Express Yourself and Human Nature]) but, for the most part, the video seems distinctly Xtina to me. Xtina Aguilera has been showing this racy side of herself for years, if anything … this video is more of the same. But, enough talk — after the jump, check out the video in full and see for yourselves …
