Billy Corgan — Smashing Pumpkins frontman, former Jessica Simpson beau and all-around drama king — seemingly launched an attack on Hole frontwoman Courtney Love on his official Twitter account on the eve of the release of her new album Nobody’s Daughter (which finally is released in stores today over a year after it was due to be released on January 1, 2009). Altho Corgan doesn’t specifically name Courtney Love in his diatribe, his comments seem to be directed at her specifically. Here is the full text of the tweet messages that Billy posted on his Twitter account last night:

Thought #1: my face is my face, my heart is my heart, my money is my money. Oh, and my songs are MY songs+If you can’t write your own songs? / Thought #2: if you can’t write your own songs maybe you should just be happy that you fooled someone into doing your work for you… / Or, thought #3:maybe you should go someone nice+live off your husband’s money, u know the money he made for writing all those great songs. / Thought #4: when you issue someone an apology on YOUR facebook page you might actually mean it and take responsibility for it. But… / Thought #5: the world is aware of your lack of responsibility, as seen in the gov’t taking away your parental right. Only you could abandon! / Only u could abandon such a beautiful, incredible child who is smarter than u, cooler than u, and better than u. Oops, did I say too much? / Thought #6: so have your moment, burn up in the sun that laughs at u as equally as it appears to celebrate u+sleep knowing u have no honor.

It seems very clear that Billy‘s references to the songs he wrote (for Courtney‘s new Hole album), living off of husband money (ie. Kurt Cobain) and the alleged abandonment of the “beautiful, incredible child who is smarter, cooler and better” (ie. Frances Bean Cobain) are aimed directly and squarely at Courtney Love. It’s unclear why, exactly, Billy felt compelled to make these comments seemingly about (and to) Courtney Love but it really sounds like there is still much bad-blood between them. Will C. Love take the bait and fire back in retaliation? It’s quite possible … but these days, Courtney is doing much to promote the release of the new Hole album and may not have the time to respond. Imagine that, Courtney Love might actually be the adult for once.

Congratulations are in order for Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon who have decided to get married … again. As you may recall, Mr. & Mrs. Cannon first said I Do back in 2008 in the Bahamas. Last year, on their first wedding anniversary, the Cannons celebrated publicly in Las Vegas with a lavish soirée (and apparently privately with a secret vow renewal service in the tropics) but this year, the couple plans to take things more seriously … by choosing to renew their wedding vows, again:

Renewing one’s wedding vows is typically a once-in-a-lifetime experience. But Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey prefer to do it a little more frequently than that – like every year! “I encourage everybody to do it. If you are happy and in love, celebrate it!” Cannon, 29, said Friday on his New York radio show, confirming that he and his pop-star wife, 40, will renew their vows – for a second time – to celebrate their second wedding anniversary. “Don’t everybody do that?” the America’s Got Talent host asked. “Don’t, like, Heidi Klum and Seal do the same thing every year? It’s just something fun to celebrate. We renew our vows and exchange gifts.” Their anniversary is this Friday, but as of last week, the couple hadn’t settled on a final plan for this year’s celebration. They wed in 2008 on Carey’s Bahamian estate, but aren’t looking for an island getaway this time around. “We did that last year and the year before that, too,” says Cannon. “This year we want to do it like in a normal setting, so it might be in L.A. … Hey, I say we do it in a church in Brooklyn. That will be hot.” Cannon says his gift to Carey this year is “something very thoughtful and it has nothing to do with money.” And he adds: “We are just trying to keep the romance alive. That’s all.”

I am all for these two renewing their vows on a yearly basis. I have to admit, I never thought Mimi and Nick would make it to their first wedding anniversary and now they are about to celebrate their second — goes to show what I know. I have no doubt that these two are blissfully happy and deserve all the happiness in the world together. Much love and many congrats to the happy couple on their marriage vow renewal. Yesterday we learned the tragic news that troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan had gotten herself axed from yet another film in addition to getting banned from another club for reportedly throwing a drink at her ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson. Today we learn a bit of good news concerning Miss Lohan. When one door closes, another opens … I’m happy to report that L. Lo managed to find herself a new job! Unfortch, this new job is just a one time gig … and she worked for free but … work is work, yes? Here are photos of Lindsay with her little sister Aliana Ali Lohan slaving away last night at a place called Millions of Milkshakes in West Hollywood, CA:

Yes, folks, Lindsay can now add “milkshake maker” to her dwindling resume. As I understand it, this Millions of Milkshakes place is owned by the folks who run Hollywood.tv and strike up deals with celebs for them to come into the shop to “make” milkshakes in exchange for a little publicity from their paparazzi services. I suppose Lindsay could use a bit of good (free) publicity these days, so good for her! In other good news, her estranged father has left LA after failing to exert his control over her legally. With his tail between his legs, Michael Lohan was spotted leaving LAX Airport after he was stymied in his attempt to force Lindsay into rehab.

A new job AND the expulsion from LA of her father? Things just might be looking up for our dear Lindsay.
