Filming continued this weekend down in Miami Beach, FL on the second season of Jersey Shore and in an incident that can only be described as run-of-the-mill for the JS cast, Nicole Snooki Polizzi got herself into a smidge of drama. Apparently, the newly single Snooki — while out with her fellow castmate Jenni Jwoww Farley — met a nice young man at a bar in Miami and the two go to talking. Unfortch, the pair did not get along well and things got a bit heated between them. In fine, JS fashion, there was hitting, yelling, throwing of food and drink and an expulsion from the bar by security. For anyone else on Earth, this would be a terribly embarrassing one time occurrence. For Snooki, it was what she would call a “Saturday”:

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi slapped a man, sparked a food fight and threw alcohol over him during a bar fight in South Beach, Miami, on Saturday night — and RadarOnline.com has the exclusive video. In retaliation, the man showered the Jersey Shore star with his own drink, during the incident at Ocean’s 10 bar on Ocean Drive at around 6pm. MTV was filming the second series of the hit reality show, at the time. Police were not called.

Yesterday was a very full yet extremely fun day … firstly, David and I met up with our BFFs Emma and Josh for an afternoon of grilled cheese fun at The 2010 Grilled Cheese Invitational:

Obviously something as fun as a grilled cheese festival is going to be popular so while we weren’t too thrilled with the long lines, we were thrilled with the amazing offerings that were made available. We ate and ate and ate and ate … ’twas fun, mostly.

After we finished eating, we made our way to The Standard hotel in downtown LA for a few drinks up on the Roof Bar:

It was there that I found a very cool piece of street art — an Invader mosaic.

After drinks, we parted ways with Emma and Josh and made our way to the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal City to see Conan O’Brien on his Legally Prohibited from being Funny on Television Tour. After the jump, check out some photos and read some deets from last night’s fun …

Some of you may recognize that Miguel is the male model who is featured in the Puma Index, a site that features models who undress every time the stock market goes down. Yesterday we learned the “good” news that Poison singer and VH1 reality TV star Bret Michaels was “doing good” in ICU in the wake of suffering a brain hemorrhage this past Friday. Today, Bret‘s official website has been updated with information on his condition … according to the official statement posted today, Bret remains in critical condition while the doctors try and find the source of his bleeding trauma:

Everyone at Michaels Entertainment would like to thank all fans and friends for their continued thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. At this point Bret remains in ICU in critical condition. He is under 24 hour doctors care and supervision. We are hopeful that further tests will locate the source of the bleeding, which has still not been located. As we all know Bret is a fighter and we are hopeful that once all is complete the slurred speech, blurred vision and dizziness, etc. will be eliminated and all functions will return to normal. More information will be posted as it becomes available

Wow, this is still so scary. It seems imperative that doctors find the source of the bleeding so that no lasting damage occurs. I don’t know anything about medicine but I do know that head injuries of any kind are serious business. Let’s keep our well wishes, happy thoughts, healing vibes and hopeful prayers going … if anyone can bounce back from something like this, it’s deffo Bret Michaels. Get well soon, Bret! We’re all pulling for your speedy recovery!!

When last we saw photos of Reese Witherspoon and her new beau Jim Toth out and about they were doing a bit of shopping with her children Ava Elizabeth and Deacon Reese last weekend. This weekend, the couple stepped out for a bit to eat together … just the two of them … so in lurve:

I understand the couple (Rim? Roth? Rim Rotherspoon?) enjoyed a nice Mexican brunch in Hollywood before the made their way to West Holllywood to do a bit of shopping at Fred Segal. It sounds like a very nice, very normal Saturday afternoon. Altho Reese has already introduced this new love interest to her kiddies, it does appear that she is taking things nice and slow. I honestly think that these two can make this new relationship last. Because he’s in the biz (as an agent) but is not a celeb, I think they have a better chance at longevity. They already look so normal … here’s hoping they truly are in it for the long haul.

A couple of weeks ago we got to see a few disturbing photos of the over-inflated Hills star Heidi Montag hosting an afternoon of wet and wild fun at Liquid Pool and Lounge at the Aria Resort and Casino in the City Center entertainment complex in Las Vegas, NV … today we get to see photos of new Hills star Kristin Cavallari taking her own turn as host. And, IMHO, it looks like KC did a much better job in her hosting duties:

No bulbous breasts, no silicone-filled face … just a pretty girl in a tiny bikini standing around looking beautiful — and getting paid for it. Heidi‘s beach ball-sized breasts look too ridiculous in a two-piece bathing suit … Kristin looks much more normal and proportional, hence, much less scary. It’s clear in this case, bigger isn’t better. I have to say, I think KC makes a very lovely pool hostess … don’tcha think?

True Blood co-stars and real life lovers Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin spent the day in Venice, CA yesterday with his daughter Lilac in tow lookin’ very much like the happiest of families. After a nice lunch at Hal’s Bar and Grill, the family made their way to Pinkberry for dessert:

I love the photo of Stephen giving his daughter a piggyback ride … even tho she looks a little big, it’s very cute that A.) she’d want a ride and B.) that daddy would oblige. The weather was perfectly lovely here in LA yesterday, I bet this happy little family enjoyed a fantastic day together.

At the start of this month we learned that Academy Award-nominated actress Gabourey Sidibe (who starred in Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire) would be hosting Saturday Night Live and earlier this week we got to see the promo vids of Gabby hyping up her gig. Well, the ep aired last night and — thankfully — just as I suspected, Gabourey KILLED it as host of SNL:

While the young actress was a bit nervous (flubbing a few lines here and there) she was professional enough to just keep going and bring the funny. I loved every single skit that she appeared in. Like the episode with Tina Fey as host, Gabby‘s SNL last night was one of the best the show has all season long. Her opening monologue was genius and the Digital Short she did with Andy Samburg was simple, yet hilarious! Last night’s ep was cemented as one of my faves when I saw the Alarm Clock skit (I know, it’s dumb … but I loved the previous Door Bell and Car Horn skits as well).
