Last month we learned that Charmed is being adapted into comic book form, surely inspired by the success of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic book series, and today we get to see some new artwork from the new comic. Rose McGowan tweeted this image from her official Twitter account and I had to share it with all y’all:

Okay, so we expected to Zenescope’s new “Charmed” comic book based on the hit television series to be pretty sexy — after all, the publisher has never shied away from injecting their comics with ample amounts of curves. But when they sent us this exclusive wraparound cover for “Charmed” #2, created by superstar artist Greg Horn … “Charmed # 0″ will hit shelves in June and issue #1 will debut at the San Diego Comic-Con International in July.

Damn! The Charmed Ones are lookin’ hot, y’all. I have high hopes that this new comic book series will do well … mebbe not as well as the Buffy comics but certainly enough to hold their own. Okay … I admit it … I kinda knew what I was in for when I decided to go see The Back-Up Plan with Darion yesterday. Yes, I had read the scathing reviews but I just figured that no self-respecting movie reviewer would deign to give a glowing review to a Jennifer Lopez movie. But because I enjoyed many of her previous efforts, I was willing to give The Back-Up Plan the benefit of the doubt. About 5 minutes into the movie, I knew I was in trouble:

Very unfortunately, the poor reviews for the film are spot on. The film is full of terrible rom-com clichés … but that isn’t even the problem. Jennifer Lopez gives a really horrendous performance. She’s been away from the movie-making scene for many years now … and it shows. She never loosened up and just … looked natural. Her whole performance felt forced and stiff. The jokes were bad and the writing was just … really bad. I kid you not … and this may spoil but, I don’t care … fecal matter is used for laughs TWICE in this movie. I’m sorry but when you have to rely on actual turds for laughs … you’re in trouble.

I will say that there was one shining positive thing about the movie. Find out what it is, after the jump …

Late yesterday it was reported that Bret Michaels, who just recently underwent emergency appendectomy surgery, was rushed to the hospital after he suffered a life-threatening brain hemorrhage:

Bret Michaels’s health has taken a turn for the worse, PEOPLE has learned: After an excruciating headache late Thursday night, the star was rushed to an undisclosed hospital where doctors discovered he suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding at the base of his brain stem), according to a source close to the situation. Michaels, 47, is currently in critical condition. “After several CAT scans, MRIs and an angiogram, [doctors] decided to keep Michaels in the ICU and are running several tests to determine the cause. [It] will be touch and go for the next few days while he is under intense observation,” the source says.

Thankfully, according to his father Wally Sychek, Bret is “doing good” altho he remains in Intensive Care. Here is the latest on Bret‘s condition as reported by his father:

Bret Michaels’ father is speaking out for the first time since his rocker son was rushed to the hospital with a brain hemorrhage. In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Wally Sychak reveals he spoke to his son by phone on Friday, says Bret is doing well, but is still in intensive care. “I talked to him this morning,. He sounded upbeat and positive but they had him sedated,” Sychak told RadarOnline.com. “But he’s doing good. He sounded like my son.” Sychak told RadarOnline.com that Bret’s two daughters, ex-girlfriend, Kristi Lynn Gibson, and his tour manager are currently at the hospital with him. While doctors have not determined what caused Bret’s brain to begin bleeding, they all seem to agree that it—along with his recent appendectomy—are complications relating to his type 1 diabetes, Sychak told RadarOnline.com. “We’re all keeping our fingers crossed and saying our prayers,” Sychak said, adding, “He just needs to be quiet now and get rested.”

Wow! This is really scary stuff. I was very worried that the news would not be good in the wake of this brain hemorrhage but thank goodness Bret is doing well. I’m sure he would greatly benefit and appreciate all of our thoughts, prayers and well wishes. Bret Michaels has survived much in his 47 years, here’s hoping he’ll be able to beat this illness (or whatever) and be back to his rockin’ ol’ self again very soon. Heal well, Bret!

Last week it was reported that Paris Hilton and longtime (on again/off again) boyfriend Doug Reinhardt had broken up (again) for good (this time) and since that time, Paris has been spotted out and about with her little sister Nicky Hilton in tow. It would appear that Paris has lost interest in hanging out with her sister because she has since moved on to a new man (the first of many, I’m sure). Actually, Paris‘s new man is one of her old men (who knew Hilton was into recycling?) … she stepped out with former fiancée and former Tommy Hilfier model Jason Shaw for a dinner date at Woo Lae Oak restaurant in Beverly Hills, CA:

Hilton and Shaw were briefly engaged to be wed back in 2003 (when he was modeling for Hilfiger and she was modeling for Guess) but clearly that engagement never panned out. Who knows, maybe this time the couple have realized their true lurve for one another that will find a happy life together again? Yeah … no. Still, Paris must be enamored of Jason again … she doesn’t bust out the wonky eye for just any guy. Oh, who am I kidding … of course she does. In any event, whether this latest hook-up is merely a fling for the moment or will turn into a storybook romance for the ages, I suppose we shouldn’t be that surprised that Paris Hilton is back in the dating saddle. Giddy on up!

Earlier this week we got to see the first photos of Dexter star Michael C. Hall lookin’ well on the NYC set of his new film East Fifth Bliss mere months after it was revealed that he was suffering from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In a new report from E! News, Hall‘s wife Jennifer Carpenter now tells us that MCH has “fully recovered” from his illness!!

It looks like Michael C. Hall has defeated his biggest bad guy yet: cancer. The 38-year-old Dexter star has “fully recovered” from Hodgkin’s lymphoma, according to wife and show costar Jennifer Carpenter. Hall announced he was battling the illness in January, shortly before his Golden Globes win for best actor in a TV drama series, describing his condition as “eminently treatable and curable.” Last month, Hall reiterated as much, telling an audience at the TV show-honoring PaleyFest that he was preparing for his final treatment and was “great on the health front.” Hall is set to return to work in June, when the show begins production on its fifth season.

This is just amazing news. I was very heartened when MCH surfaced early this month lookin’ very much like he was on the road to recovery and then when he showed up on that movie set, I knew it was only a matter of time until he got back to his good ol’ self. This latest update from Carpenter just reinforces my hope. I am so excited for the new season of Dexter, I can’t even tell you … I’m just so happy that MCH is now well enough to get back to work on the show and move forward with his life as healthy as can be :)
