Jack Bauer's European vacation?
Kiefer Sutherland Reveals That The Script For ‘24: The Movie’ Has Been Written

24 star Kiefer Sutherland, who we learned last week has been having a good time in the UK lately, has revealed that the script for the planned big screen adaptation of 24 has already been completed and may go into production not long after the TV series ends its run next month. According to Sutherland, he has yet to read the script but seems anxious to right down to work on the film’s production:

“24: The Movie” is likely to come out not long after the TV series ends in the eighth season. Kiefer Sutherland, who plays major character Jack Bauer in the FOX show and is set to reprise the role in the big screen version, has just confirmed at an exclusive BAFTA Q&A that the screenplay for the movie is ready. According to the actor, screenwriter Billy Ray has finished writing the script a couple of weeks ago. Sutherland has not read it but he plans to do it when he returns to the United States. About the idea of the storyline, it has been mentioned that the film may take the special agent from Eastern Europe to England during the course of movie. Sutherland has also revealed that the crisis faced by his character doesn’t necessarily deal with a bomb. “It can be something personal that people understand,” he stated as quoted by IGN. It has not been known when the production for the movie will begin. No director has been tapped to work on the upcoming project while The 20th Century Fox has not picked up a release date. In the meantime, Kiefer Sutherland has wrapped shooting for the last episode of “24″ TV series last week. FOX will air the two-hour series finale on May 24.

Okay, so just because the script has been written it doesn’t mean that 24: The Movie will immediately go into production … as the report above states, there are still a few very big logistics (like finding a director) that need to happen before we can start counting our chickens. That being said, considering that it was just announced that the TV series is ending and there’s already word that a movie script is complete, we may be seeing this film sooner than expected. I am all for a 24 movie because I think the characters will really flourish on the big screen. But, in all honesty, I’d much prefer to wait a bit longer to ensure that a good movie gets made rather than a quick movie gets released. It seems weird to think of Jack Bauer running all over Europe in order to save the world but it does feel like the right next step. Considering how quickly things appear to be moving on the 24 film project, I wouldn’t be surprised if actual production got underway late this year or early next year … but I’m still not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

HAWT!
Alexander Skarsgård Does ‘VMan’ Magazine

Last week we learned that hotties Kellan Lutz (Twilight), Matthew Bomer (White Collar), Noah Mills (Sex and the City 2), Xavier Samuel (The Twilight Saga Eclipse) and Ryan Kwanten (True Blood) are featured within the pages of the new Summer issue of VMan magazine … today we learn that Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood) is the main hottie featured on the cover … behold:

The official website for VMan has yet to be updated with this new coverphoto, which made its Internet debut on THIS Alexander Skarsgård Facebook fan page. Homie is lookin’ slick as hell in this Tom Ford tuxedo … coupled with the perfect and messily coiffed hair’do, he looks damn fine. I kinda sorta got a thing for Vikings so it’s no wonder that Skarsgård is my fave castmember on True Blood. I can’t wait ’til we get to see the rest of the photos from his VMan photospread.

Pink's is the new Dog
Betty White Gets ‘Naked’ For Pink’s Hot Dogs

Betty White, who is EPICALLY featured on the cover of the current Oregon free weekly magazine The Portland Mercury, was on hand to cut the ribbon and officially open a new Pink’s Hot Dogs store on the Universal City Walk in Universal City, CA. Pink’s Hot Dogs stand (at La Brea and Melrose Aves.) has been an LA institution for about 70 years and has finally decided to open a new location in Universal City … Betty was chosen not only as the official ribbon-cutter but she was also on hand to debut her very own Pink’s hot dog — called the Betty Naked in the City Hot Dog. Here are a couple photos from yesterday’s event:

Emmy award-winning actress Betty White got “naked” Monday at Universal CityWalk. The 88 year old actress didn’t bare it all for T.V. cameras; she got naked in the form of a new hot dog named in her honor at “Pink’s” hot dogs. The “Betty `Naked’ in the City’ Hot Dog” has no toppings and no enhancements and Betty likes it that way — plain. “The weenie is so good, I have the weenie and the bun, and so they said, `Well, it’s a naked hot dog,”‘ White joked about the dog’s suggestive name. “And I wish they had never thought of that.” Proceeds from the day’s sales will support the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services’ animal shelters. White is a longtime supporter of a variety of efforts on behalf of animals. Pink’s new location at Universal CityWalk is the first in the San Fernando Valley. Pink’s, which first opened at its original location on La Brea Avenue in Hollywood 70 years ago, continues to be a Southern California staple and popular hot dog emporium.

Are you kidding me? Two of my favorite things EVER on Earth together at last?? Pink’s Hot Dogs AND Betty White? How amazing is that. Betty had herself a great time at yesterday’s event, chompin’ all up on her very own dog — after the jump, check out a few photos of Betty enjoying her new signature hot dog with relish

'All the Lovers' is the first single from her new album 'Aphrodite'
Kylie Minogue Announces New Album, Teases New Single

The British music magazine NME announced late yesterday on their official Twitter account that Kylie Minogue would be making an “extra special” announcement today … which we now know is news of a new single to come in June and a new album to come in July. Kylie.com has announced today that Kylie‘s next album — Aphrodite — will be released in July and the first single from the disc — All the Lovers — will be released in June:

I suspected Kylie‘s announcement might be music-related but I didn’t think she’d be announcing a new single AND a new album. But the news gets better — after the jump, check out the album artwork for Aphrodite and listen to a clip of her new single All the Lovers
