"One more game, it's time to play"
Listen: Britney Spears, ‘Dramatic’

New new previously unreleased Britney Spears song titled Dramatic has leaked its way to the Internets for our listening pleasure. While this song is believed NOT to have anything to do with the new album Britney is recording for release later on this year, it does appear to be an outtake from her earlier recording sessions:

The song previously leaked online when Heidi Montag first sang over the vocal and then released the song last year … but, at last, we get to hear the track in full without tags, without anyone else’s vocal but Britney‘s. Listen to Dramatic in full after the jump …

Say hello to Bryan Ryan
First Look: Neil Patrick Harris On ‘Glee’

Back in January we learned the GREAT news that Neil Patrick Harris would be guest starring on an upcoming episode of Glee (directed by Joss Whedon, I’ll have you know) and today we get our first look at NPH as Bryan Ryan — former rival of everyone’s fave Glee club teacher Will Schuster (played by Matthew Morrison):

Neil Patrick Harris is headed to “Glee” … The “How I Met Your Mother” star is making a guest appearance on the hit FOX series as Bryan Ryan, a returning former rival of Matthew Morrison’s character Will Schuester. Neil will appear on the hit series on May 18 in an episode titled, “Dream On.” As previously reported … Molly Shannon and Olivia Newton-John will both join the “Glee” gang, as well as Kristin Chenoweth, who will reprise her role as April Rhodes. New additions this spring season also include Broadway stars Idina Menzel and Access Hollywood’s latest Rising Star, Jonathan Groff, who both premiered on the show this past Tuesday.

Lord, how is it possible that one TV show can keep getting awesomer? The world hasn’t even seen the epic Madonna episode yet (it airs this coming Tuesday night) and we’re already looking further ahead in the season at other epic episodes of Glee! Wanna see the first photo of NPH facing off against Morrison on Glee? Check it out after the jump …

C. Love performs an acoustic mini-concert for AOL Sessions
Watch: Hole, ‘Pacific Coast Highway’ (AOL Sessions)

Courtney Love‘s new version of her band Hole performed a mini-concert of 6 songs for AOL Sessions and right here, right now we get to watch the full performance of the new Hole song Pacific Coast Highway (which is available as an iTunes only exclusive track from the new album Nobody’s Daughter). Here are a few screencaps from the Hole acoustic performance for AOL Sessions and some deets about this online only show:

It’s the week of the 16th anniversary of Kurt Cobain’s death and Courtney Love, joined by guitarist Micko Larkin, is in the throes of promotion in New York City for Hole’s new album, ‘Nobody’s Daughter’ – the band’s first since 1998′s ‘Celebrity Skin.’ The anniversary is a detail to be noted but not be mentioned. “Courtney Love is actually on a sabbatical,” Love announces at Hole’s acoustic Sessions taping. “We have sent her upstate.” Love is only half-kidding and referring, of course, to her much-vilified public persona, whose online diatribes are rivaled only by her dizzying conversational detours. It’s that Courtney Love — the one Rolling Stone dubbed the “Most Controversial Woman in the History of Rock” — to whom the rocker has bid farewell. Well, for now. “I don’t have to have my crazy on anymore,” she says. “But I’ll always be slightly neurotic.” Love and Larkin are playfully and determinedly running through a series of songs, including a new, never-before-recorded Hole tune ‘Pretty Your Whole Life’ and a cover of Big Star’s ‘Thirteen’ in remembrance of the late Alex Chilton. “I love this song,” Love says of the latter before the first and only take. “It’s about prepubescent love … before the pubic hairs come. Alright, let’s go.” It’s typical verbal fodder from Love, who, through the profanity-laced raspy retorts, weaves in humor and heady vocabulary in spades. And so it begins.

I’ve already pre-ordered Nobody’s Daughter so I’ve been listening to Pacific Coast Highway for a couple of weeks now … I gotta say, I like the song. This AOL Sessions performance is actually … good. While it’s nothing ground-breaking or revolutionary, it is a pretty good performance … one that is deffo worth checking out. After the jump, watch the Hole acoustic performance of Pacific Coast Highway and judge for yourselves …

They will be joined by Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Molly Shannon
Jay-Z Will Be Musical Guest On Betty White Ep Of ‘SNL’

Last month we learned the amazing news that Golden Girl Betty White will be hosting the May 8th Mother’s Day weekend episode of Saturday Night Live and now we learn who will perform as musical guest on that episode. None other than the jigga man himself Jay-Z will be the musical guest … which is surely to make a strange pairing indeed:

Betty White and Jay-Z … together again? Well, for the first time, anyway. The rapper and entrepreneur will be the musical guest for former “Golden Girl” White’s much-anticipated stint as guest host of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” May 8. “Well, that’ll be interesting!,” White tells Zap2it. “It’ll be great fun.” But as for whether she’ll pick up yet another brigade of fans among the Jay-Z faithful. she says, “I have no idea.” With beloved six-time Emmy-winner White on board — plus what she reports as the return of several female cast members including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Molly Shannon — “SNL” could have gone in any number of directions in booking a corresponding musical act. However, White claims she had no thoughts about that before learning it would be Jay-Z. “I really didn’t, in all honesty. I was just so thrilled when I heard that Tina and the girls were going to do it, I have tried not to have anything to say [on the creative end]. It’s their show. All I have is veto power. If anything comes up that I don’t feel comfortable doing, I can say, ‘Can we go in another direction?’ They know what they’re doing far better than I do, so I didn’t even get into the musical end of it.”

Hahahaha … clearly, Betty couldn’t give two hoots about Jay-Z as musical guest … and that’s just fine. She will do her thing, he will do his … and it will be an epic episode. While I would LOVE for Jay and B … er, Betty, to do a skit together I highly doubt it’ll happen. Still … stranger things have happened so we’ll just have to tune in to see what happens on May 8. What do y’all think of Jay-Z as musical guest on Betty White‘s ep … good idea or bad?

Who has the POWERRRRRRRRR!?
Who Will Play He-Man In The Upcoming New Movie?

As you may have noticed from THIS post and THIS post, I’ve been in on a real He-Man and the Masters of the Universe kick lately. You can imagine my happy surprise to learn that Hollywood is looking for the right muscled man to play He-Man in an upcoming new film based on the classic 80′s cartoon superhero. The film project has a director in place, the next big slot to fill is the role of He-Man himself. People magazine lists their picks on who could play the most powerful man in the universe … read on:

WANTED: The most powerful man in the universe. Should be muscular. Blond hair a plus. Needs to be skilled in the Secrets of Grayskull and immune to evil forces of Skeletor. Long hours, good pay. Some near-nudity required. That, at least, is how one might imagine the casting call for the role of He-Man in the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie, based on the successful Mattel toy line – launched in 1982 – and already the inspiration for the 1987 feature Masters of the Universe, which starred a muscular, blond and nearly naked Dolph Lundgren as Eternia’s greatest warrior and Skeletor’s archenemy. The proposed 2011 version is to be directed by John Stevenson, who co-directed Kung-Fu Panda and whose credits also include the Shrek movies. But still up for grabs: the leading role of He-Man. This is where you come in. Imagine yourself the casting director, in search of the ultimate action hero. From these four box-office-worthy hunks, whom would you pick to fill He-Man’s furry briefs?

After the jump, see a photo that will remind you of what Lundgren looked like when he played He-man in 1987, read the list of People magazine’s candidates for the role of He-Man and see who I think would be a great unknown actor to play the part …

The TV Guide
Hello/Goodbye

Yesterday evening I was very happy to welcome my friend Devin to SoCal on his first full day in town. I met Devin in Austin, TX at SxSW last year and we became fast friends … I was thrilled to learn that he was planning a move out West so I was really excited to see him. My dear friend Irene, on the other hand, is on her way out of town so we all met up for drinks of hellos and goodbyes at Essex Public House in Hollywood, CA:

While I’m very bummed that Irene is moving to NYC permanently, I’m happy that Devin is in town at last. It’s always sad when friends have to move away but I know we’ll stay in touch and see each other again soon … either on this coast or that coast. After we said goodbye to Irene, Devin and I spent dinner catching up and getting reacquainted … it was a really nice night.

Not sure what is going on tonight … there are a few options … it’s such a beautiful day here in LA today, I think I want to be outside. I hope your weekend is a great one! Enjoy!!

A real life Bro-mance
Joel & Benji Madden Enjoy A Brotherly Run

Twin brothers and BFFs Joel and Benji Madden were spotted on the streets of LA this week doing a bit of working out and bonding together. Considering how bizzy the brothers have been lately, it’s nice to see that they manage to find some time to just hang out the two of them from time to time:

Now that Benji is an accomplished boxer, it’s important for him to stay in shape should he need to defend his title in the future. Joel is so cool to be there to help train with his bro. We usually see Joel out with Nicole Richie or his children but it’s nice to see him out with his twin every now and then. The Madden brothers have been hard at work on the next Good Charlotte album Cardiology … which is near completion … but this week, Joel and Benji made sure to set aside time for some brotherly bonding. Awww.

Singer, Stripper, Trainwreck
Tila Tequila Becomes Miss Tila

Tila Tequila has rebranded herself with a new name, Miss Tila, and has moved her attention-seeking shenanigans away from Twitter and into the strip club. Miss Tila, who just released a new single titled I Love My DJ, gave a special performance at a strip club in the Bronx, NY to officially kick off the next phase of her sad, sad life … behold:

It seems like only moments ago she was mourning the death of her “wife” Casey Johnson, writing her autobiography and was incubating a phantom “baby” in her uterus … now she’s got herself a new name, a new single and a new lease on life as a stripping singer. It would be so easy to pity her insanity if everything she does didn’t seem to contrived and orchestrated to win her any attention at all. At least she looks at home on the strip club stage … perhaps she has finally found her true calling in life.
