"I still have sadness and complicated feelings about my divorce."
Ryan Phillippe Does ‘Men’s Health’ Magazine

To make up for the horror of seeing Michael Lohans‘ pointy nipples, I present to you ripped actor Ryan Phillippe on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Men’s Health magazine. In his coverstory interview, Ryan opens up about the sadness he still feels about his divorce from Reese Witherspoon and in his accompanying photospread, he shows off his sick bod. Here is our first look at Ryan‘s Men’s Health coverphoto and some excerpts from his interview:

The marriage of Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon may have ended nearly three years ago – but he admits to having unresolved emotions about the split. “I still have sadness and complicated feelings about my divorce,” Phillippe, who also recently broke up with live-in girlfriend Abbie Cornish, says in the May issue of Men’s Health, on newsstands Tuesday. “But how beneficial is it to keep hanging onto those feelings?” Phillippe, 35, who has two children with Witherspoon, is also surprised by the self-discoveries he’s making as he ages. “I thought the most experience you had, the more certain you would be about life,” he says. “But I’m finding the opposite, man. I’m more in wonder and confusion than I was in my 20s.” For inspiration, Phillippe says he looks to Clint Eastwood, 79, who directed him in 2006′s Flags of Our Fathers. “He’s in the latter part of his experience on the planet, and he’s still growing,” Phillippe says. “He’s open to new ideas and he’s changing the way he sees things … It’s something I want to encourage in myself: Don’t close off.” Judging by his role in the upcoming MacGruber, Phillippe appears to be taking that mission seriously. The actor exercises his comedic chops in the movie, which originated as a Saturday Night Live sketch as a spoof of the ’80s TV hit MacGyver. (Phillippe will appear on SNL April 17.) “I tend to internalize and analyze, but with them, there’s none of that,” Phillippe says of his MacGruber costars, Kristen Wiig and Will Forte. “There was no edit, no judgment. It was just a really free atmosphere.”

As we learned yesterday, Ryan will be hosting Saturday Night Live this coming weekend and I’m certain we will get a taste of his McGruber-ness in one of the skits. I’m still worried that the film will be a bomb (like most films made out of SNL skits) but I’d honestly see Ryan Phillippe in pretty much anything … tho, I’d prefer to see him in nothing at all ;) And speaking of his wearing nothing, check out a few photos from his Men’s Health photospread, after the jump …

Heavy Armor
First Look: Kelis, ‘Flesh Tone’

Previously we’ve seen a colorful new promo photo and a wild-like music video from Kelis but today we get our first look at the cover artwork for her new album Flesh Tone which is due for release in July … check it out:

I’m not certain but it appears that the cover art for Kelis‘s new album will be glittery and shiny. If it comes out as a cardboard and plastic digipack, it may even be translucent. Considering that Kelis is playing with ultra-bright colors in the promo materials for her new music, it would make sense that her album might have a bit more flair than the other more conventional album artwork of the day. I wouldn’t say I’m crazy in love with this cover but it’s very Kelis. I am crazy excited to hear the rest of the album. If her first single Acapella is any indication, Flesh Tone is gonna be an amazing album. I cannot wait for July 6th to get here.

Their 9-year relationship comes to a sad end
Melissa & Tammy Etheridge Are Dunzo!

Sad news to pass along today … after 9 years together as a couple, Melissa Etheridge and her wife Tammy (Lynn Michaels) Etheridge have announced that they have separated. The official statement released by the couple does not list a reason for the split but needless to say, after everything the couple has been thru and after years of building a family together, the news is extremely sad. They’re dunzo, y’all:

Melissa and Tammy Etheridge have ended their nearly nine-year relationship. “Melissa and Tammy Etheridge are saddened to announce that they are now separated,” Melissa’s rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. The former couple add in a statement: “We ask for consideration and respect for our family as we go through this difficult period.” Melissa, 48, and Tammy (formerly Tammy Lynn Michaels) exchanged vows in Malibu in September 2003. Tammy, 35, gave birth to their children – son Miller and daughter Johnnie Rose – in 2006, after Etheridge was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. Etheridge is also the mother of two children, Bailey, 13, and Beckett, 11, with former partner Julie Cypher.

While this news is extremely sad, it does go to show that even couples who appear to have everything going for them and appear to be rock solid may not be as perfect as it seems. Any time a couple with children splits the news is sad but these two, ugh, they just seemed so happy together. The couple may announce some day what caused the split but I’m hoping it wasn’t a matter of infidelity … that would just be too cruel. But, alas, I suppose we should pour one out for Melissa and Tammy. Let’s hope this break-up is for the best in the long run.
