"Heaven Help Me"

We are still 5 days away from the premiere of the Glee episode titled The Power of Madonna but right now we get to hear — IN FULL — the Glee cast performance of the Madonna hit song Like a Prayer:

First we got to see Sue Sylvester reenact the entire Vogue music video HERE and now we get to hear the Glee version of Like a Prayer … it’s, like, too much awesomeness to handle in one week. But The Power of Madonna episode will feature both of these songs AND 6 other songs (well, 7 songs if you count the Borderline/Open Your Heart medley as two different songs)!! Now, I’ve already watched the ep 3 times in full but I’m gonna hold off on watching it again until the episode airs on Tuesday. T-minus 5 days and counting … are you ready?

The Incredible Hunk
Channing Tatum Beefs Up On The Set Of His New Movie

Earlier this week we got to see a couple photos of Channing Tatum in full police officer uniform on the NYC set of his new film Son of No One and today we get to see a couple more pics from the set. It appears that Channing is a bit beefier in these photos … like he’s gone thru a few boxes of donuts since the last time we saw him on set:

Yeah, the Chan Chan man looks bulkier in these pics as if he’s got some padding underneath his uni. I gotta admit, tho, that I still like what I see. I think I’m still under the powerful sway of the porn’stache … please don’t hate me. I cannot be alone here, right? Anyone? He’s still really hot right?

Issue No. 109
Kristen Stewart Does ‘Flaunt’ Magazine

Twilight superstar Kristen Stewart is featured on the cover (and presumably in the pages) of the new issue of Flaunt magazine. Altho neither her coverstory interview nor her accompanying photospread has been posted online, we do get our first look at her Flaunt mag coverphoto … behold:

Strangely enough, K. Stew‘s issue of Flaunt has been dubbed The Census Issue … tho, I suspect that nothing about her coverstory article has a thing to do with the 2010 census at all. She looks nice enough on the cover, I can’t wait to see what she looks line inside the magazine’s pages.

Rumor has it her new schoolmates aren't too happy about it
Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon Will Reportedly Attend The ‘Fame’ School In NYC

Rumor has it that Madonna‘s first born child, Lourdes Maria Ciconne Leon, will be attending classes at the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (the performing arts high school that the movie and TV series Fame is based on) this Fall … and the kids who already attend classes there are none too pleased about it. Now, I have to make clear that this report comes from a British tabloid so it is deffo suspect … but, if you think about it, can you think of a better high school for Madonna‘s daughter to attend than the Fame school?

Madonna’s wannabe actress daughter Lourdes has enrolled at the performing arts school which inspired the film “Fame”, according to a U.K. report. The 13 year old, who made a cameo appearance in her mum’s “Celebration” video, is preparing to start her studies at New York’s renowned LaGuardia Arts academy in September. But news of her enrollment has already upset fellow students – amid rumors she didn’t have to audition publicly to land a place. Pupil Brittany Evans tells Britain’s The Sun, “Lots of kids are talking about how she had an advantage.”

This story can be complete bullshizz … or it can have some bit of truth to it. It makes absolute sense that Lola would be the perfect student for LaGuardia Arts high school … I can already picture her dancing on the tables in the cafeteria at lunch time just like they did on the Fame TV show. On the other hand, I can see why Maddy might not want to subject her daughter to the competitive nature of the Fame school. I, personally, think it’s a great idea. If Lourdes really wants to be in showbiz someday, going to high school at LaGuardia Arts would be a great first step.

Be True
‘True Blood’ Season 3 Releases A 4th Promo Poster

Another week, another promo poster to tease for the upcoming 3rd season of True Blood. Previously we got to see the first 3 TB promo posters for the Waiting Sucks campaign HERE, HERE and HERE and today we get to check out the 4th Sam Merlott-specific poster here:

Interesting … we know that Merlott (played by Sam Trammel) is a shape shifter on True Blood and we’ve seen him turn into a cute little dog … but what do you suppose this poster means that *Fig. 2 shows a fly and Fig. 3 shows a bull? Could it be that Sam will start turning into other creatures as well? Will he be meeting new shape shifter friends? I guess we’ll have to tune in on June 13 to find out when the 3rd season of True Blood debuts on HBO.

*UPDATE: Pink reader bethable reminds me that “Sam turned into a fly to escape the townspeople who were under Mary Ann’s spell, and then he turned into a bull in order to kill Mary Ann.” So this poster is meant to remind us of the animals that Sam has already shifted into. Might he be turning into other animals this season? I’m thinkin’ yes.

The TV Guide
I Don’t Wanna Grow Up . . .

No big news on the personal front. Things have been nice and quiet around these here parts. I did pick up an amazing 1Tb external harddrive (which is about the size of a wallet and cost a fraction of what I paid for my 500Gb external hard drive a few years ago) and started backing up files off my computer. To be honest that was the excitement of my day yesterday … until a delivery that I had been expecting arrived late yesterday afternoon:

I know, I know … it’s really geeky and a bit weird that I still have a thing for toys from my youth but I can’t help it! I am such a child of the 80′s that I still have a huge fondness for all things 80′s (and, as you may recall, I just recently purchased two art pieces based on He-man and the Masters of the Universe). These He-Man and Skeletor figures are new versions of the original action figures and they look great on my desk. Now, should I ever need to spring into action, hold aloft my magic sword in order to save the day …

… I’ll have the inspiration to keep me on task! Look, sometimes you gotta make your own fun. I’m fairly certain that all y’all have a huge soft spot for things like this from your childhood that you like to hold on to. I cannot even TELL you how much I loved my He-Man Power Sword when I was little. Sigh … do kids these days even like toys anymore? Now that the world is enamored of iPhones, Nintendo DS and the Internet, I wonder what kids like to play with when they actually play with other kids. Sad.

Tonight I shant be playing with myself (that sounds bad, sorry) cuz I’ll be meeting up with my friend Devin who has made his way from Austin, TX to SoCal! I haven’t seen him since last year so it’ll be nice to catch up.

Outtake Photos Of The ‘Jersey Shore’ Guys In ‘Interview’ Magazine Have Been Released

On Monday we got to see photos of the Jersey Shore guys chillin’ with supermodel Bar Refaeli in a new photoshoot for Interview magazine and today we get to see a few outtake photos that didn’t make it to publication. Shot by photographer Terry Richardson, I have to say that these outtake photos really seem to capture the essence of what Paul Pauly D Delvecchio and Mike The Situation Sorrentino are all bout:

Outtakes from an Interview Magazine photo shoot with the men of Jersey Shore show the Guidos poking fun at themselves, and RadarOnline.com has all the pictures for you! Celebrity photographer Terry Richardson took the photos of the tanned and toned reality stars. One features Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino doing what he does best: tanning—but this time he’s doing it spray-on style. Pauly D Delvecchio is shot from behind show off his Italian pride with a tattoo and wearing vintage Versace underwear. Another photo features The Situation, Ronnie, Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino holding an oversized sub. And surprise, surprise, Ronnie Magro is actually wearing clothes in one of the shoots. He’s wearing a pinstripe suit, but don’t worry ladies, there’s still some skin—he’s not wearing a shirt! Pauly D’s wearing a shiny suit with his shiny face reaching into a jar of hair gel so that his hair matches the rest of him.

LOL! I know that some folks might think these guys are being ironic in these photos but I tend to think they are just not smart enough to know that they are being made fun of … OR, in their quest for fame, they don’t care that they are being made fun of. They seem fine that the world is laughing at them, especially since they are laughing themselves all the way to the bank. If you want to see the rest of these outtake photos, you can check them out HERE.

I bet NOT Lindsay Lohan
Who Wants To Play ‘Mean Girls’ The Video Game?

Good news, Mean Girls fans!! The beloved film that shot Lindsay Lohan to stardom (and gave us the wonderful word Irregardless) has been turned into a video game for the Nintendo DS (due for release this June). Unfortch for L. Lo, her character has been omitted from the box artwork for the game. It’s unclear if her character has been completely omitted from the game itself but it would appear that the makers of this video game don’t even want her likeness associated with their product:

It’s the film that really made her name and it’s one the few roles she’s been remembered for. But Lindsay Lohan is not featured on the front cover of the video game version of Mean Girls. The actress, who has become more famous for her partying than her work, is strangely absent from the cover despite her co-stars from the film appearing. And, stranger yet, the game follows Lohan’s character from the film, Cady, through her high school adventures – making her absence from the cover even more of a mystery. It has been suggested by some sources that games company Nintendo snubbed Miss Lohan. Her behaviour thus far possibly considered a bad example for the young audience the game is aimed at. Recent allegations regarding the actress’ return to drug use and drinking, which she has denied, can’t have helped. So it has been left down to Lohan’s co-stars Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams and Lacey Chabert, also known as The Plastics in the film, to star on the game’s cover.

LOL! I mean, I can’t say that I really blame the video game makers from wanting to distance themselves from La Lohan. She has been a bit of a mess in recent years and I can’t really say her behavior is something that corporations would want to align themselves with. Still, I think putting her on the cover wouldn’t have really associated the game with her behavior now … if anything, it would’ve reminded us of the good girl she used to be back then. Irregardless of whether or not she’s on the box cover of this game, I have to admit I’m horribly curious to play this game myself! At last, I can live out my Mean Girls fantasies in video game form … how amazing (and kinda sad) is that?! What do y’all think? Is this a video game that you think that you’d like to play?

The story of Dr. Jack Kevorkian comes to HBO
‘You Don’t Know Jack’ Premieres In NYC

HBO hosted a premiere even in NYC last night at the Ziegfeld Theatre for their new TV movie You Don’t Know Jack which tells the tale of Michigan doctor Jack Kevorkian. As some of you may recall, Dr. Kevorkian first developed an assisted suicide device and then championed the cause of legalized assisted suicide in this country. After enjoying a few initial victories, Jack Kevorkian was convicted and punished with a prison sentence that almost killed him. You Don’t Know Jack is a biopic of his life’s work and was made with his approval. Kevorkian joined actors Al Pacino (who plays Kevorkian in the film), Susan Sarandon and others (like Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field) at last night’s premiere:

Director Barry Levinson says Jack Kevorkian is “very pleased” with the upcoming HBO film “You Don’t Know Jack,” which tells the story of the assisted suicide advocate from Michigan. “I spoke to him on the phone when he saw it and he was fascinated by it and he talked about certain things,” said Levinson, who helmed the movie and was an executive producer on the project. “You Don’t Know Jack” debuts at 9 p.m. April 24 on HBO. It stars Al Pacino as Kevorkian and Danny Huston as attorney Geoffrey Fieger. It was filmed mostly in New York, but filmmakers came to metro Detroit last year for a few days of shooting. Levinson, who won an Oscar for directing “Rain Main,” said Kevorkian saw the movie here. “They screened it for him in Detroit someplace. And then literally someone walked him down and he went to the bus stop and he took a bus and he went back to his house. He didn’t want anybody to drive him or whatever. He just went to get the bus and went home.” Says Levinson, “That is Kevorkian.” Kevorkian is scheduled to attend tonight’s New York premiere of “You Don’t Know Jack.” He also is set to appear Thursday night on “Anderson Cooper 360,” which airs at 10 p.m. on CNN.

I’m not sure if many of you are as familiar with the work of Jack Kevorkian but those of us who hail from Michigan are well aware of his advocacy of assisted suicide. I, personally, can see the merit in giving dying patients the means for them to end their own suffering in a dignified manner rather than letting an incurable disease slowly decimate them … but I’m absolutely not an advocate for suicide. The issue has always been a very complicated one and I do not believe a simple black or white stance is really feasible. In any event, having grown up with Jack Kevorkian in the news for the first half of the 1990′s, I have to say I’m interested to see what is shown in this HBO biopic. After the jump, check out a trailer for You Don’t Know Jack for a taste of what’s in store in this new film …
