Hold on your hats, y’all. It’s not bad enough that MTV is bringing us both a new season of Jersey Shore with a whole new cast AND another season of the original JS cast in Miami Beach, FL BUT now, they are planning to bring that JS vibe to the city of Boston, MA. That’s right folks, MTV is now casting a show called Wicked Summer that is seeking a group of people who seem to embody Irish stereotypes to be featured on a whole new reality TV show … read on for all the deets:

“You come from all over — Gloucester, Worcester, South End, Charlestown, Chicopee and South Swansea. You share a love for muscle cahs, hair products and little necks on the frickin half shell. You don’t take shit from nobody — least of all each othah. You are the hottest girls and proudly buff guys from Massa-freakin-chusettes who believe in God, Family, The Red Sox and partying!! You ready to live togethah, laugh togethah, drink togethah and love togethah? You’ll pahty on the beaches of the Cape where Roast Beef subs and cases of Narragansett Light are on every Celtics towel next to a bottle of baby oil and a can of hair spray! Are you down for one wicked cool summah, and be a part of the most wicked reality show evah! Doron Ofir Casting is looking for blue collar, hard working, harder partying, tough talking, damn good looking Mass natives from all over the state …. Yea we’ll consider preps from Wellesley too if they got what it takes. So now we’ll have Jersey Shore 1.0 in Miami Beach, Jersey Shore 2.0 in the Jersey Shore AND Wicked Summer in Boston. It sounds like MTV is planning to exploit different groups of people (or cast folks who are happy to do their own exploiting) in different parts of the country for their financial gain and our entertainment. Last week we got to see Channing Tatum lookin’ a bit banged up (but not for real) on the Queens, NY set of his new film Son of No One and today we get to see a couple new pics from the movie set. Today, Channing isn’t bruised or battered … he’s just rockin’ a surprisingly sexy police officer’s uniform:

Last month we got the great news that Amy Poehler and hubby Will Arnett are pregs with their second child and today we get our first look at Amy‘s new baby bump. As you can tell from the following photos, Amy is already a couple months along … and she looks beautiful:

Can you believe that Amy‘s first born son, Archibald William Emerson (Archie, for short) is already so big? It seems like she just birthed that baby boy yesterday … now he’s grown into a toddler and she’s got another bun in the oven. I guess the Poehler-Arnett family is in a period of expansion right now. It remains to be seen how many kiddies they are planning to have but it’ll be fun to follow along with Bump Watch #2!

Earlier today we got our first look at the new Sex and the City 2 movie poster which features Sarah Jessica Parker‘s Carrie Bradshaw character and right now we get to check out SJP herself on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vogue magazine. Here is our first look at SJP‘s Vogue coverphoto, which was shot by Mario Testino, along with some excerpts from her accompanying coverstory interview:

On having children with a surrogate mother: “Meeting your children rather than giving birth to them, it’s as if, um, it’s—suspended animation. The gestational experience is gone. It’s as if everything else disappears for a moment, and the world goes silent and—I can’t explain it except to say that nothing else existed. I don’t remember anything but the blanket on the bed that they were lying on and my husband’s face and their faces and my son’s. It’s literally as if sound is sucked from the room. Time stands still. It’s so different, and equally extraordinary.”

On the importance of keeping perspective: “We painted our patio furniture ourselves…. I make my children’s food myself. We put together their high chairs ourselves; we do a lot ourselves! We do our own grocery shopping, we go to the market ourselves, you know? I do my laundry.”

The upcoming Sex and the City sequel: “We four women, despite I guess what a lot of people hope, have never been better. This movie—and maybe it’s because we actually lived together—it was the best! We were together all day long, at night, in the restaurants, in our hotels. It was wonderful.”

Sex and the City getting older: “We’re still playing—uh, I don’t know how old Carrie is! Is she about 42 now? I think Carrie’s younger than I [Parker is 45], and Miranda and Charlotte are younger than they are in real life. Samantha was always the older lady, so she’s 52 now and talks a lot about what comes with that. In the movie. Talks about menopause. Comedically.”

Her introduction to New York and Halston: “I came to New York originally in 1976, and then I got this part in Annie around the corner from Studio 54. I was a little girl, and for some reason they always invited the cast of Annie to Studio 54, so there I was at thirteen and fourteen, and the doorman would usher us in, literally underneath his arms. And it was 1977 in New York City, and you couldn’t be alive and not know the name Halston.”

Her new position with Halston: “There was every reason to say no, and there were very compelling reasons to say yes…. It’s an exciting time at that company. It has had some false starts that are well documented and it is relaunching itself. It has a wonderful legacy, and I couldn’t say no.”

I am so glad that SJP talked about her surrogate babies … I’ve been dying to know as much about her situation as possible. It seems so interesting to me that a couple can have a baby of their own and then just let someone else carry it to term and then delivery it to them at the end of nine months. It sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me. Tho, considering that many women LOVE the magic of carrying their babies inside their own bodies, I guess I’ll have to defer to the experts. In any event, and for whatever reason, SJP and hubby Matthew Broderick now have a beautiful set of twin daughters as part of their little family. As you may recall, we learned yesterday that funnyman Conan O’Brien has signed a deal with TBS to host a new late night talk show starting November 2010 … but last month, while Conan was still trying to figure out which TV deal he was going to take, he announced that he would be embarking on a nationwide comedy tour called The Legally Prohibited from being Funny on Television Tour … and that tour got underway last night in Eugene, Oregon. Here are a few photos and some deets from Conan‘s first night on the road:

Just hours after Conan O’Brien announced he had signed a deal with TBS for his new late-night TV gig, he kicked off his nationwide tour and brought the crowd in Eugene, Oregon, to its feet, AP reports. “This is the first time anyone has paid to see me. They’ve paid me to go away,” O’Brien told Monday’s audience of more than 2,500, an obvious reference to the former ‘Tonight Show’ host’s $32 million exit deal with NBC in January. During ‘The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On TV Tour,’ O’Brien worked the stage hard, joking, dancing and even making costume changes that, at one point, included a pink leather outfit. Warning that “lawyers are watching,” O’Brien told the crowd that he was barred from performing on TV, radio or online for the near future and that ownership of some of his bits was in question. That didn’t stop him from including a Triumph routine or bringing out the Masturbating Bear, who with a small costume adjustment became the Self-Pleasuring Panda … “You may have heard I got a new job: new assistant manager at Eugene’s Banana Republic,” he wisecracked, later acknowledging the TBS job in a parody version of ‘On the Road Again.’ O’Brien tossed barbs NBC’s way, showing short films in which he played a bald man who introduced himself as a “generic network executive,” boasted about heading one of the top 17 networks and introduced a new series called “I’m a Celebrity and I Eat Bark.” O’Brien’s sidekick Andy Richter is along for the tour, with Reggie Watts the opening act. Among O’Brien’s debut show guests were the band Spoon and, from the NBC sitcom ’30 Rock,’ cast member Jack McBrayer, who plays Kenneth the page. Other celebrities are expected to drop in throughout the tour, which heads to Vancouver, Canada, on Wednesday.

Yeah!! It’s starting to sound like Conan O’Brien is going to have the last laugh. I managed to get some sweet tickets to see Conan when he comes to LA next week and I can’t WAIT to see him perform live. It sounds like this new comedy tour is going to be a real riot. While I’m happy that his comedy tour has gotten off to a strong start, I’m most happy that he signed a TV deal with TBS. I’m convinced that he will do wonders for the network and will do much to change the landscape of late night TV. You go go, Coco!! You’ve got a lot of people cheering you on. Tho, in all honesty, it sounds like you’ve got everything worked out exactly the way you want it to be :)

I’m not sure if any of y’all caught The Colbert Report on Comedy Central last night but if you did, you prolly saw and laughed your ass off about a joke he made about potential Supreme Court Justice nominee Elena Kagan. It’s been many a moon since we’ve heard from the amazing band Scissor Sisters but today their long silence is ended. The Sisters have announced the June release of their new album Night Work and in celebration are streaming a new song titled Invisible Light on their official website for today only. Here is our first look at the album artwork for Night Work and the text of their press release announcement:

Scissor Sisters return with their third album, Night Work, due out June 29th in the U.S. and on June 28th in all other countries. The band, which has sold over seven million albums worldwide, recorded it in London, the Bahamas and its hometown of New York City, working for the first time with an outside producer, Stuart Price (The Killers, Madonna). This collaboration sees the group’s relationship with Price come full circle – Scissor Sisters opened for his band Zoot Woman in 2004, while on their first UK tour. “Invisible Light,” a track from the upcoming record, will be streaming today only at scissorsisters.com. Fans can also check out the cover art for Night Work at the band’s website. The band debuted many of its new songs at SXSW last month and will announce tour plans shortly. Night Work is a dynamic album with a big heart and some killer dance moves – but it’s not all electronic. You can still hear the sound of a band spinning out together in a rehearsal room. “Night Work is really us boiled down to who we are. It feels quintessentially us,” says Jake Shears, who handles vocals along with Ana Matronic. Babydaddy (guitarist/bassist/keyboardist) and Del Marquis (guitarist) complete the lineup and all four are founding members of the band.

Yay!! The world has gone far too long without new Scissor Sisters music … I’m so thrilled they are back with a whole new album. I’ve already listened to Invisible Light a few times and I really like it. It’s deffo got that Sisters vibe that we all know and love. A new promo photo of Christina Aguilera has made its way to the Internets and I understand it has been released to promote her new single Not Myself Tonight. Xtina has yet to announce the release date of her music video for the track but this new promo might give us a peek at what’s in store for the video’s release:

I’m not entirely certain what message Xtina is trying to convey with her mouth open agape like this but let’s just assume she’s merely shouting out, Hey guys! I’ve got new music on the way!! I’m guessing this look is supposed to be sexy … but … yeah, no. In any event, I’m still very curious to hear the rest of her new album, Bionic, and I can’t wait to see what her new video will look like. I’m diggin’ the single … just not this photo so much. Aussie actor Russell Crowe was joined by his family — wife Danielle Spencer and sons Charles & Tennyson — at a ceremony held in his honor yesterday to unveil his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Crowe was honored with the the 2,404th star and looked elated at the turn-out of fans who came out to support him. Here are a few photos and some deets from yesterday’s event:

Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe received the 2,404th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday. “I still, occasionally, get to have conversations with people on the sidewalk about a movie I made 20 years ago,” said actor Russell Crowe. Over the years Crowe has been a “Gladiator,” an “Insider” and a man with “A Beautiful Mind.” Now, he’s a recipient of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And hundreds of people came out to wish him well. “I thought it was going to be raining today and there wasn’t going to be anybody here,” said Crowe. “But, you know, that’s cool. That’s nice that people have stopped by within the course of their day and had a little look” … Talk show host Jay Leno spoke on Crowe’s behalf at the ceremony, calling him one of the greatest actors in the world. And director Ron Howard, who made two movies with him, says he’s a force of nature. “The degree of artistic intensity he brings to everything that he does is really remarkable to behold,” said Howard. “No one could deserve a star more than Russell.” And now he’s got one in the heart of Hollywood. “It’s not a bad piece of real estate. I reckon I could build an apartment on that, a very skinny one, but it’s in a good spot,” said Crowe. If you’d like to see Crowe’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it’s right outside the Kodak Theatre.

Aww … Russell … he looks so happy in these photos (even tho his poor kids do not). I think we should all be sending our warmest congrats to Russell Crowe today on this new honor. The fact that he is an Academy Award-winning actor is proof positive that he is worthy of this latest accolade. I know he’s got a new film about Robin Hood coming out and if anyone can make that character sexy, it’s Russell Crowe. I’m thinkin’ his version of Robin Hood will be a bit like Gladiator … but in the Sherwood Forest. While we await the release of that film, let’s just focus on celebrating and congratulating the newest resident on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
