Plus, get an exclusive sneak peek at 'The Power of Madonna' episode
The Cast Of ‘Glee’ Channels Their Inner Madonna

Earlier today we got to see the cast of Glee on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of TV Guide magazine in support of the upcoming all Madonna music episode titled The Power of Madonna (which will air next Tuesday April 20) and right now we get to see a few screencaps from behind the scenes video of that TV Guide photoshoot which will air later today on Entertainment Tonight:

And so … since there are other outlets actively promoting the Glee/Madonna episode I thought it’d be only fair to share an exclusive first look at screencaps from The Power of Madonna episode. Now, BE WARNED … if you wish to remain unspoiled then DO NOT look at the screencaps I’ve posted behind the cut. There is a TV promo airing that shows very plainly what song Jane Lynch (as Sue Sylvester) performs on the ep and the following screencaps are from her performance. If you DO NOT WANT TO KNOW what song she performs until the ep airs next week then DON’T LOOK. If, on the other hand, you are too curious not to know — check out my exclusive caps after the jump …

Bump Watch
Dannii Minogue, Kris Smith & Baby Bump On The Move

Here are a couple of cute photos of new parents-to-be Dannii Minogue and Kris Smith as they made their way thru Heathrow Airport in London, England earlier today with burgeoning baby bump in tow. Dannii is still about 3 months away from her due date but she seems to coming along nicely:

Dannii‘s been keepin’ bizzy lately trying to get as much work done as possible before she has to slow down and actually birth her baby. It’s cool that she’s able to stay as active as possible with Kris by her side to help whenever she needs him. I think they are going to make fantastic parents … and I’m still holding out for a July 12 birth date. Make it happen little bump, I know you can do it.

Hot! Hot! Hot!
Britney Spears Features In A New Batch Of Candie’s Outtake Photos

Last month we got to see a few new outtake photos from Britney Spears‘s Candie’s ad campaign last year and right now we get to check out a few more. These photos, I believe, were shot by Mark Liddell and are fantastic … tho, I don’t remember that any of them were actually used in the promo campaign:

It’s a shame because these photos are pretty hot! Britney looks damn good in every one of them. Check out a few more after the jump …

New music for a new record label?
Mariah Carey & Jermaine Dupri Record New Music Together

Mariah Carey, who was spotted in Puerto Rico last week, is hard at work recording new music with her longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri. Both Mimi and JD shared a photo of the two of them in the studio together … here is the photo and the accompanying tweet messages from Mariah and Jermaine:

From Mariah: To all the Lambs in the land..Finally!!!Me& Jermash are in his studio reliving the splendor working on new ish 4 / This song is coming out quite nice I must say: ) LYM / JD’s studio has a real CLUB in it!!!..a certain liquor co. built it for him.(Even a pole!) I’ll tweet more after they build ME some ish.lol

From Jermaine: to all the lambs out there me and mc are in studio right now working on the new album yall been askin for it / I GOT SO MANY REQUEST ON TWITTER FOR THIS FROM ALL THE LAMBS AROUND THE WORLD, WE KNOW WE BELONG TOGETHER LOL!! THE SONG OF THE DECADE CREW IS BACK!!!!!!!!!! LEGGGOOOOO

It would seem that Mimi‘s trip to PR isn’t just all play … sounds like she is workin’ hard, too. In other Mimi news, there is a new report going around that she is planning to leave her record label Island Def Jam (which just signed Jennifer Lopez to a new music contract) with an announcement “expected soon”. I’m certain Mariah will be able to work out a deal with any label she likes, for whatever money she’s after. She is one of the most successful musical artists of all time (having already broken Elvis Presley‘s record for the most #1s from a solo artist and just a few #1s away from breaking The Beatles record for the most #1s of all time) so she can deffo demand whatever she wants. I quite liked her Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel album and I’m anxious to hear more! Keep workin’ hard, Mimi! Your faithful lambs await your next masterpiece.

With special guest star Bar Refaeli
The ‘Jersey Shore’ Guys Do ‘Interview’ Magazine

Back in February, Mike The Situation Sorrentino broke the news that he would be posing in a new photospread with supermodel Bar Refaeli for Interview magazine. Today we learn that the shoot was shot by Terry Richardson and also features fellow Jersey Shore castmates Paul Pauly D Delvecchio, Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro … behold:

Once upon a time, we learned what happened when seven strangers came to live together in a house, stopped being polite, and started getting real. After 23 iterations of that concept, we learned that we were bored, and an ever-savvy MTV flipped the concept, assembling a group of strangers to live together in a house and act like cartoon characters. As Jersey Shore’s first season debuted, eight sensory assaults masquerading as people—tanned, unquiet, self-proclaimed “guidos” and “guidettes,” some of them not actually Italian-American—assembled in a summer rental to live, laugh, love, malaprop, hump in hot tubs, get arrested, and wander around drunkenly, eating ham. The ratings were meager at first, but the show took off when Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the show’s heroine, was punched in the nose by a high school teacher after a dispute involving a stolen drink. (This basically tells you everything you need to know about the show’s moral universe.) As Snooki was walloped in the face, so was America, and the whole country became Jersey Shore’s battered paramours—uncomfortable but unable to tear ourselves away … The second season begins shooting this month, and barring any cases of hair-gel toxicosis, it will air on MTV this summer. In the meantime, the four dudes of the show—Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino, and “Pauly D” Delvecchio—talked to Interview about their hopes, dreams, and penis piercings.

You gotta hand it to Richardson, this shoot is kinda fun … in a d-bag sort of way. Interview took the time to talk with each of these guidos but it’s really the photos that are most interesting (cuz these guys are not). After the jump check out the individual shots that Terry Richardson shot of the JS guys with Bar Refaeli for Interview magazine …

The TV Guide
‘Going West’, Young Man

Yesterday The Turtle Party: Book Club to discuss our thoughts on our last book selection, Sway, and to choose the next book to read. Everyone one of us enjoyed reading Sway (for various reasons) and we all seemed to agree on the notion that the irrational behavior of some may be incomprehensible to others but that everyone seems to have a trigger that will set off irrationality in ourselves. Sway is such an easy book to read and understand, the subject of why we are swayed towards irrational behavior is terribly interesting. Our discussion on Sway yesterday was probably the liveliest convo we’ve had as a group discussing one of our books.

The selections for our next book were brought to the table by David and we decided as a group to next read Going West by New Zealand author Maurice Gee:

So … if you are reading along at home, we will be discussing this novel on our next meeting on May 7th.

Today should be a quiet day … I have a few things to take care of but I am hoping to stay in tonight. Tho, Darion has been trying to get us to go out for drinks so … we shall see. Happy Monday!!

"I consider myself a pain-in-the-ass artist self-aware enough to be tolerable."
Robert Downey, Jr. Does ‘Men’s Journal’ Magazine

Robert Downey, Jr., who will be starring as Tony Stark/Iron Man in next month’s sequel film Iron Man 2, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Men’s Journal magazine. In this new issue, RDJ talks about his recent acting experiences as Sherlock Holmes and, naturally, talks a bit about stepping back into the Iron Man costume. Here is our first look at RDJ on the cover of Men’s Journal and some excerpts from his coverstory interview:

On advice for practicing Wing Chun, a martial arts discipline: “Seriously, don’t worry about looking like an idiot. It’s like life: The less self-conscious you are, the better it works. And remember, lots of ice and Advil afterward. Trust me on that one.”

On how Wing Chun helps him cope: “This is all about focus. Wing Chun teaches you what to concentrate on, whether you’re here or out in the world dealing with problems. It’s second nature for me now. I don’t even get to the point where there’s a problem.”

On being reluctant to punch a stuntman full in the mouth while filming Sherlock Holmes: “I was like, ‘I can’t or he’s not going to be able to play with his kids this weekend.’ And Guy (Ritchie) was basically saying, ‘He doesn’t have any kids.’ ”

On if he is worried about burnout from filming and promoting films: “You don’t worry about something that has already happened,” he says with resignation. “You don’t need to worry about your car breaking down when you’re already on the side of the street with the hood up. Worrying is done. The hubcaps have already come off going around the corners.”

On being an actor: “This is still art for commerce, at best. I consider myself to be a pain-in-the-ass artist who’s self-aware enough to still be tolerable. While I have a little bit of juice, I try not to rub it in anyone’s face, because it’s just disgusting. And I use the term ‘artist’ loosely.”

I have to say, RDJ is prolly my favorite actor right now. I know a lot of people are all ga-ga over Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt but I think I prefer Robert Downey, Jr. over all other actors. He can play serious, he can play funny … he can play seriously funny … and make it all seem totally effortless. If you think back to his troubled days in the 90′s, it’s amazing how well he’s turned his life around … I like that he is flawed and still very successful. He is the only person alive who could ever bring Tony Stark to life and I can’t WAIT to see him in Iron Man 2 next month! After the jump, check out a few photos from RDJ‘s Men’s Journal photospread and read a few quotes from some of his compatriots about RDJ‘s acting style …

Boys night out
David Beckham & BFF Gordon Ramsay Cheer On The LA Lakers

Over the weekend, David Beckham (who is still recuperating from his Achilles tendon injury) and his celebrity chef BFF Gordon Ramsay sat courtside at the Staples Center in downtown LA to TRY and cheer on the Los Angeles Lakers to victory! Unfortch, the Lakers lost … but ah well. Throughout the game the guys joked, swapped Rolex watches, hob-nobbed with LA Lakers player Kobe Bryant and tried desperately NOT to pay attention to the sexy Laker Girls dancers … sounds like a fun boys’ night out:

Since moving to California three years ago, David Beckham has become an avid fan of local basketball team the Los Angeles Lakers. But as he introduced fellow Brit Gordon Ramsay to the game at the Staples Center yesterday, it looked like the pair were more interested in comparing their expensive watches than watching the action on the court. Seated in their $2,200 seats in the front row, the pair took off their flash timepieces to compare whose was the most impressive. The England footballer, 34, has an extensive collection of expensive watches, which includes a £5,500 Rolex Sea Dweller and an Audumers Piquet Offshore T3. Beckham, whose left leg is in a cast as he recovers from his ruptured Achilles tendon, also took care not to be photographed ogling the cheerleaders as they performed in front of him. With Ramsay, 43, spending increasing amounts of time Stateside due to his American version of Kitchen Nightmares, Beckham has been helping the celebrity chef to embrace the U.S. culture. But it seemed the two men appeared a tad distracted from the game as they caught up courtside yesterday. Ahead of the game, Beckham greeted Lakers star player Kobe Bryant – who is also injured with a swollen knee – and teammate Sasha Vujacic. Also at the game in the coveted front row sears were singer/songwriter Neil Diamond and Oscar winner Adrien Brody. Unfortunately for the Lakers, they were beaten 91-88 by the Portland Trailer Blazers.

Well, maybe if Becks and Ramsay were doing a better job of cheering for the Lakers the boys in purple and gold would’ve won the game … jerks. I guess I don’t really understand the notion of shelling out thousands of dollars for courtside seats to a game only to spend most of the time gabbing and not paying attention to the action. In any event, it’s nice to see Becks lookin’ so happy again. I’m sure he is still crushed that he won’t be able to participate in the World Cup this year … but it looks like he’s already gettin’ in practice to be a sidelined athletic supporter.

Oi, everyone.
Guess Who Thinks They Are ‘Important’

Game time! Can you guess which celeb was spotted out and about here in SoCal this weekend wearing a homemade shirt with the tag line “Hair Is Important”?

This little round of Guess Who will be very easy for those of you who happen to watch a particular competitive reality TV series that is hosted by this mysterious celeb. Hair Is Important is the (IMHO, lame ass) phrase that was used to end every episode of the latest season of this show that just finished airing new eps. Do you know who it is? Find out if you are correct, after the jump …
