A new short-film titled Pixels has been making the rounds today that shows New York City, NY getting destroyed by an invasion of 8-bit creatures that return from the 80′s with a vengeance. The video really defies explanation … you just have to see it for yourselves:

Patrick Jean, the writer and director of this short film, really should be commended for his inventiveness. I’ve already watched this video over and over about 15 times. It’s really well done. As a fan of the 80′s I remember and love these characters dearly … even if they are destroying one of my favorite cities in the world. It’s just … so cool. What do you think, do you love?

Last December we learned that Lindsay Lohan was planning to expand her 6126 leggings line into a full clothing line due for release at some point this year. Today we get our first look at the first promo pics to be released from the new 6126 Fall Collection:

This fall, Lindsay Lohan’s 6126 line expands beyond its signature leggings into a full collection. The 280 pieces, which retail from $60 to $1000, include edgy minidresses and a draped, gold leather vest, as well as fall staples like chunky cardigans and embellished hoodies. The new collection’s inspiration? “The iconic Marilyn Monroe and the timeless, confident glamour she represents,” reads the lookbook’s introduction.

Considering that Lindsay just got fired as the “creative director” at the Emanuel Ungaro fashion house, you’d think Lindsay would’ve learned her limits at helming fashion collections but … well, you’ve got to admire her tenacity. Hottie Channing Tatum was lookin’ a little worse for the wear on the Queens set of his new film Son Of No One which is currently filming in NYC, NY this week. Fortunately, Channing‘s injuries are not real … but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t look like he could use a hug to make him feel better:

Awww … the fake bruises plus the small porn ‘stache makes him look kinda adorable, right? I have no idea what Sons of No One is about but it appears that Channing has been cast to play an honest to goodness galoot, most likely with a heart of gold. Whatever the case may be, it’ll be fun to watch him film scenes for this new movie.

I was very fortunate to receive a promo package from Fox this week that included a fun t-shirt and 3 new episodes of Glee, which returns from hiatus next Tuesday April 13:

The eps included are Hell-O (April 13), The Power of Madonna (April 20) and Home (April 27). I’ve been DYING to watch the Madonna ep (which will come with its own soundtrack in just a couple of weeks) so I watched the DVDs as soon as I could. OMG … people, the Madonna ep is THE best ep of Glee ever. I can’t really say much nor can I share any amazing screencaps just yet but — trust me — the Vogue performance is EPIC! That performance alone will become a viral hit of its own, you can count on that. I know there are many Gleeks out there anxious to see these new eps … I’m happy to report that they are deffo worth the wait.

No big plans for tonight … I’ve been running around all week, it’ll be nice to stay in and do nothing. Wee!

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the classic sci-fi sequel The Empire Strikes Back (more recently renamed Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back), Entertainment Weekly is featuring one of many “previously unseen photos” from the film on the cover of it’s latest issue … behold:

A long time ago (30 years, actually) in a galaxy not so far, far away (right here, in fact) we were treated to the release of what many consider the best sequel ever made: The Empire Strikes Back. In celebration of that achievement and anniversary, Lucasfilm and Del Rey are releasing a new book in October titled Star Wars: The Making of The Empire Strikes Back, that goes behind the scenes of the epic space saga in exhaustive detail. And we’ve got your first taste right here. In an exclusive first look, the new issue of Entertainment Weekly features several rare and never-before-seen photos and quotes from the cast and crew on the Empire set, as well as an original script page (with revisions and notes from director Irvin Kershner), and early sketches of key new characters Yoda and Boba Fett. It’s a visual feast sure to be gobbled up by any Star Wars fan. Plus, in addition to that treasure trove, Dalton Ross explains in the issue why The Empire Strikes Back remains the ultimate Star Wars film. “What makes The Empire Strikes Back the greatest and grandest of all Star Wars films is its emotional resonance,” explains Ross in his essay. “This is no feel-good popcorn film, as the Rebel Alliance is on the receiving end of a pretty much continuous loop of butt kickings, starting from the very first line of the opening crawl: ‘It is a dark time for the rebellion.’”

While I find it a bit difficult to believe that there actually are “never before seen photos” from the world of Star Wars (like this coverphoto, which I’ve seen many times before), I guess I can believe George Lucas sat on a treasure trove of rare photos to publish in a new book like this. Even if die hard Star Wars fans have already seen it all, I’m certain this issue of EW is a must-own. I can’t wait to see what little treats are featured in this new mag and I really can’t wait to get a copy of this new Star Wars book. Wee!!

I wonder where little Tabitha Hodge is? It’s a shame that SJP wasn’t able to carry one of her babies up front and the other in back … cuz, I bet it’s real easy to cart around 2 babies like that ;) Clearly, Marion is the HBIC of the Parker-Broderick clan … she gets to go out while the other twin stays home … she, most likely, calls the shots where her big brother is concerned … I’d look out for this one. These pics are just too cute … is there anything cuter than a happy-lookin’ baby like this?

In case you were wondering (rabid Twilighters who have the burning desire to know where stars of The Twilight Saga movie franchise are at every second of every day), Twilight star Taylor Lautner has made his way back to Paris, France this week where he was spotted trying to sneak into the country by wearing a hat and sunglasses — oooh, clandestine:

You may recall that Tay Tay was in Paris last month to do a bit of promo work so my guess is that he is back in the City of Lights to enjoy a more personal visit. I suppose it’s entirely possible that the Twilight promo machine has got some work for him to do while he is there but I hope the young man is able to just enjoy Paris on a personal level than a professional level. He might want to ditch the hat and glasses, tho. Nothing makes a celeb more conspicuous than a ridic disguise like this.
