Christina Aguilera, who just released the new single Not Myself Tonight from her soon-to-be-released album Bionic, is having herself a pretty fantastic week. Not only has her new single been well received by her longtime fans but the track has also made a huge impact with music fans over all. Not Myself Tonight is the most added song at both Top 40 and Rhythm radio this week … and so, to celebrate, Xtina has posted a new message to fans on her official website, which you can read in full below:

Dear Fans,

I have been hard at work over the last year or so preparing for this moment. As you know, I have just wrapped production on my first feature film, Burlesque, which will be in theaters this Thanksgiving. And I will finally be releasing my fourth studio album, Bionic, this summer on June 8th. I couldn’t be more excited to finally share this material with you all and I wanted to reach out and let you know what this project is all about for me. Each album I release is a representation of my personal life experiences and how they have shaped me. I strongly believe that life is all about growth, self-discovery and self-expression. Making music allows me to define my experiences and share them with others who might hopefully relate. Over the past four years I have learned a lot about myself and what I am capable of. What all women are capable of. Since the release of my last studio album, Back to Basics, I have become a mother, a wife, and most recently an actress. All of these new experiences have allowed me to face new challenges and explore different sides of myself I did not even know existed. I am a woman who wears many hats and carries many responsibilities. There are so many characteristics that define me, and this album was put together to represent all of those different parts of myself.

Congratulations, I suppose, are in order for Michael Lohan (ex-con and estranged father of Lindsay Lohan) and his latest ladylove Kate Major (former writer for Star magazine and ex-girlfriend to Jon Gosselin) because they are telling X17 that they are ready to get married! I’d be hard-pressed to think of a more unholy union but … everyone deserves to be happy, right? I guess we can be the bigger people and be happy for them, no?

Michael Lohan tells X17online exclusively that he and girlfriend Kate Major … are getting married! The pair have been dating since the end of last year when Major and Gosselin had a falling out and, subsequently, Lohan and Gosselin stopped communicating as well. Since then, Lohan and Major have been living and traveling together, cooking up projects like their upcoming road trip for charity, Crossing Borders. Lohan tells X17online Kate has been with him through lots of tough times: “Kate has been by me through all the stuff with Lindsay and trying to get help for her; she was by my side when I had my heart attack; and she just always supports me. We flew down to Florida so I could ask her father for her hand in marriage and he gave me his blessing. I know I want to be with her for the rest of our lives.” And Kate was equally gushing about her fiance. She tells X17online exclusively: “I’m so happy. Michael has always been there for me and I can’t imagine my life without him.” Congratulations to the happy couple!

Some people are just made for one another … and these two make the perfect match. Now that Daddy Lohan is focusing on his own personal life, mebbe he will stop meddling in other people’s affairs. I think this engagement/marriage/whatever will be good for him … he can mind his own bee’s wax now. My only fear is that the couple might do the unthinkable and … spawn! Yikes! Barring any such travesty, I’m happy for these two … kinda sorta. This is good news … yes?

UPDATE: It turns out that Lindsay Lohan has heard of her father’s plan to marry again, here’s what she had to say:

“I’m gonna vomit! I so didn’t need that info … Yuck!”

LOL! I suppose Michael and Kate shouldn’t expect to see L. Lo at the wedding then. OY!!

Congratulations are in order for Precious actress Paula Patton and her crooner hubby Robin Thicke who yesterday welcomed the birth of their first child, a baby boy they named Julian Fuego!

Robin Thicke and his actress wife Paula Patton welcomed their first child, Julian Fuego, on Tuesday in Los Angeles, PEOPLE has confirmed exclusively. “Mother, father and son are all doing well,” says Thicke’s rep. The crooner had canceled his portion of Tuesday night’s show at the Staples Center for “personal reasons.” But his tour mate, Alicia Keys, offered her congratulations from the stage … High school sweethearts Thicke, 32, and Patton, 34, will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary in June.

My boy MK who writes Popbyes tweeted from the Alicia Keys concert last night and let us all know about Julian‘s birth as soon as Alicia announced why Robin was absent from last night’s show:

Robin Thicke had to cancel tonight because his wife Paula Patton had a baby boy – Julian Thicke (thanks to @AliciaKeys for letting us know!)

It seems to me that Paula was pregs for a really long time … I’m so happy that little Julian Fuego finally decided to make his debut. I’m certain that Robin is OVER THE MOON with happiness at the arrival of his baby boy. Much love and congrats goes out to the happy couple on the happy news of their family expansion. I can’t wait to see what the wee one looks like :)

In out-of-the-blue break-up news, longtime couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have decided to end their relationship. And how, pray tell, did they announce their split? Not via press release, not via publicist, not via traditional print media … no, instead, the couple each tweeted their own message on Twitter to announce to the world that they are dunzo:

This is what Jim Carrey tweeted:

Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>

And this is what Jenny McCarthy tweeted at about the same exact time:

Im so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.

I suppose Jim was trying to be a funny-man in his tweet but it seems a sort of flippant way to announce a break-up, don’tcha think? Tho, Jenny‘s tweet sounds pretty sterile … and mebbe now we better understand why they broke-up — they were incompatible tweeters? Whatever the case may be, they are dunzo now … oddly out-of-the-blue. Personally, I think it’s Jim‘s loss … I always thought he was a damn lucky guy to be lovin’ up on Jenny. In any event, I wish them both well … break-ups are never easy so I hope they will each make it thru a’ight.
