Earlier today we learned that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made their way to Sarajevo, Bosnia but they did manage to spend their Easter in Venice, Italy where the family rented out the island of San Servolo so that they could enjoy Easter together as:

For many families, an egg hunt in the garden is a traditional way to celebrate Easter. It was no different for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt – except that their celebration involved renting an entire island. The A-list couple took their six children to the Venetian island of San Servolo for a day of Easter activities on Sunday. After catching a waterboat to the island, in the Venetian Lagoon, the family set up a picnic on the lawns and soaked up the Italian sun. Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5, Shiloh, 3 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 20 months, were amused by a hunt for eggs, carefully hidden by their bodyguards, and a game of football. As they disembarked Angelina was spotted carrying an Easter egg basket while baby Vivienne, bundled up in a black jacket and grey beanie, held a miniature version. After the family day out the couple then left their brood behind and travelled to Bosnia as part of Angelina’s role as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador. They planned to visit refugees and tour homes that have not yet been rebuilt, despite war in the region ending 15 years ago. The expedition came as 34-year-old Angelina took a break from filming The Tourist, in which she co-stars with Johnny Depp, in Venice.

I’m not sure how Angelina Jolie finds the time to be a mother AND make a movie AND be a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador AND find time to breathe all at the same time … but she seems to be able to handle everything OK. I guess when you’re a real life superhero, stuff like this comes easy. I hope the kiddies had themselves a nice holiday yesterday … having run of an entire island sounds fun, don’t it?

This Easter weekend was mama Reese Witherspoon‘s turn with the kids so she packed them up and flew them out to Washington DC so that they could partake in the annual Easter Egg Roll at the White House earlier today. As you may recall, Ryan Phillippe was bizzy this weekend here in SoCal with his own Easter grass activities so it’s a good thing Reese got the kiddies out of town:

Apparently, Reese was able to attend Easter church services with her new boyfriend Jim Toth here in LA yesterday morning before she and the kids flew to DC for the Easter Egg Roll at the White House which was held today (which, by the way, makes NO sense at all). It’s hard being a celebrity mom, y’all. But, as you can see from the photos above, Reese manages to handle it all with grace. She looks fantastic. I’m sure her kids had fun at the White House rollin’ with their homies.

Gwen Stefani got her boys all dolled up in matching bunny jumpsuits for their Easter celebration yesterday, ensuring that her sons will grow up with at least a few fixations that they will have to deal with in therapy. Here are a couple pics of Gwen and her little bunnies Kingston James McGregor and Zuma Nesta Rock making their way to her mother’s home for Easter dinner yesterday afternoon:

I mean … her boys are cute and all but … I have a bad feeling these kids are gonna have a lot of mommy issues to work out in the years to come. You just know that Gwen wishes she had at least one little girl to dote on … so she appears to be overly doting on her two sons. At least Zuma is still young enough that he don’t know what the hell is going on. But Kingston … ah … he’s gonna be a sassy one. I can feel it. At least she didn’t dress them up in matching bunny costumes … hmmm … mebbe she’s saving those for next year ;)

While uncle Benji Madden was kickin’ Riki Rachtman‘s ass in a celebrity boxing match in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday night, daddy Joel Madden and mama Nicole Richie were makin’ Easter plans for the following morning. Nic/Joel were in LV to support Benji at his fight but they made a quick trip home to LA so that they could take little Harlow Winter to Easter church services in Beverly Hills, CA on Easter morn … behold:

Nic/Joel know how important it is to be present with Harlow for these important moments in her life. These are memories that she will carry with her for the rest of her life as she grows up. She looks like a total doll in her Easter dress and I’m certain she enjoyed a fantastic Easter with her mommy and daddy. Aren’t they just the cutest?

When last we saw Smashing Pumpkins fontman Billy Corgan and pop star wanna-be Jessica Simpson together, they were photographed together in a studio making beautiful music together back in January. In early March, Billy talked to Rolling Stone magazine about his relationship with Simpson but … the couple haven’t been seen together since. It appears that Billy is no longer enamored by Jessica Simpson because he’s been hanging out with a younger Jessica … Jessica Origliasso of the Veronicas:

Yeah, I don’t know what Corgan‘s weird obsession with pop stars named Jessica is but … it’s kinda creepy. Dude is in his 40s and he’s mackin’ on young women in their 20s. It’s so strange to me that these younger women would be attracted to him … I mean, really? I suppose I can’t really hate on Billy for gettin’ with these chicks if they’re so willing to get with him. Playas gotta play. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how long this fling lasts before he moves on to … Jessica Biel? OY!

For Easter yesterday, I was able to celebrate with David’s family in Connecticut before we had to fly back home to LA and we had a blast … but I, first, wanna talk about the amazing free movies we got to see on our plane ride home. Our Delta flight was not wifi enabled but it did offer us an amazing selection of movies — both new and old — to watch for free! At last, I was able to watch 2 films I’ve been dying to see for months! First I watched A Single Man, second I watched Crazy Heart:

Because I read A Single Man by Christopher Isherwood in college, I knew what was gonna happen in the film … plot-wise, the film was great. It managed to really bring the powerful novel to life. I did take some issue with the artiness of the film. It seemed like Tom Ford, the fashion designer turned movie director, threw everything AND the kitchen sink into the mix. Quick scene cuts, languid music, slow-motion … you name it, if it is taught in film school … it was utilized in A Single Man. I will say that the acting performances were spectacular. The film really turned out beautifully, I just wish it wasn’t chock full of so many film school cliches. For a first film, tho, Ford should be commended. I really liked the movie … and was so happy that I finally got to see it.

Next, I watched Crazy Heart … the film that won Jeff Bridges his first Academy Award:

This movie was a delight … altho predictable, it was really easy to get sucked into the story. I was very surprised how much I loved the original songs that were featured in the film. Bridges deffo deserved his Oscar and I actually enjoyed Maggie Gyllenhaal‘s performance (she’s not my fave actress but she was really good in this). Colin Farrell delivers a very solid performance but it was his singing that impressed me more than anything. I was sure they had some real Country singer perform his songs in the film … I was very surprised to learn it was really him singing. Crazy Heart isn’t usally the kind of movie that appeals to me … but I had to see it and really, really enjoyed it.

This is quite a beautiful family that Matthew has made for himself. Two beautiful children, a loving babymama and a career that keeps them all well taken-care of … what more could one ask for? Something tells me that Matthew and Camila aren’t quite done with the baby-makin’ just yet … but it’s hard to see how they can improve on perfection ;)

Last week it was announced that Academy Award-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson has been tapped to be the new spokesperson for Weight Watchers and at an in-person appearance event in NYC last Thursday, J. Hud revealed her new look to the assembled press … and da-yum, does she look good!

In fact, the new mom revealed she’s the new spokesperson for the company today. “With Weight Watchers I am enjoying the weight loss because I’m doing it the right way I feel empowered with what I’ve learned, everything from portion control to what foods will help keep me satisfied,” said the 28-year-old singer-actress. “It’s a lifestyle change, not a diet.” The Oscar-winning actress who has a 7-month-old son, David Daniel Otunga Jr., with her fiancé David Otunga, 28, also likes how the diet fits into her busy lifestyle. “I can follow the plan no matter where I am, still enjoy my favorite foods and even use the iPhone app to track my points,” she said. Hudson is no stranger to publicly discussing her weight: After being called “the big girl” as a contestant on “American Idol,” the singer transformed her body for her Oscar winning turn as Effie in “Dreamgirls” by packing on more than 20 lbs. with a diet of “cakes and cookies and lots of friend food,” she told PEOPLE. She later lost the weight for the premiere of the film. Past celebrities who have represented Weight Watchers include Jenny McCarthy, Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson and Lynn Redgrave.

Wow … she really does look fantastic! I can’t think of a more fitting, more beautiful spokesperson for Weight Watchers. If sticking to the program can make J. Hud look this good, I’m certain that a whole host of people out there will turn to the service to try and better manage their weight as well. To be honest, I’ve always thought that Jennifer Hudson was a beauty but … know she’s a bona fide knock out!
