Perhaps to celebrate the fun geekfest WonderCon in San Francisco, CA this weekend or mebbe in celebration of the much-hyped release of the Apple iPad, a new 2 minute clip from the heavily-anticipated sequel film Iron Man 2 has been released for our viewing pleasure. Which you can watch HERE:

Woot!! The more footage I see from IM2, the more convinced I become that this sequel is going to be just as fun as Iron Man was. The effects, the music, the humor … director Jon Favreau and actor Robert Downey, Jr. have really outdone themselves by bringing Iron Man to life on the big screen. While there are many movies I am really looking forward to seeing this year, I have to admit that Iron Man 2 is the one I’m most looking forward to seeing. This short 2 minute clip just further enhances that belief. May 7 can’t get here soon enough for me!!

Earlier today we saw photos of Milla Jovovich and Ali Later promoting their new film Resident Evil: Afterlife at WonderCon in San Francisco, CA yesterday and right now we get to see a few photos of Hottie McHotster Jake Gyllenhaal doing a bit of promo work at WonderCon for his new film Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time … behold:

Le sigh. I feel bad for anyone (like Jerry Bruckheimer, here) who has to stand next to Jakey poo for a photo … they are always completely overshadowed by his beauteous brilliance. It’s a shame that WonderCon had to take place over Easter weekend because I would’ve been more than happy to fly up to San Fran to attend the convention and possibly run into Jake Gyllenhaal. Ah well … mebbe next time. Jake and his Persia compatriots did more than just promote their film at the convention, they also did a bit of partying afterwards. Yesterday was a very full day here in Connecticut … because it was my only full day here, David and I wanted to really make the most of it. After I got my work done in the morning, I asked David to take me out into the woods behind his house so he can show me the places he and his brother Aram used to play when they were little … cut to David leading me thru thorn bushes, skunk cabbage and leech-filled streams. Honestly tho, it was really fun:

I feel I must call your attention to the fact that David is wearing Crocs … which is, apparently, the shoe to wear in the wilderness. David showed me where he and his brother erected a “real” tee-pee when they were kids and also showed me where they tortured their G.I. Joes. ‘Twas fun, ’twas fun.

After our little adventure, we had to return to the homestead so that we could dye Easter eggs before we sat down for Passover Seder dinner. Yes, folks, David’s family gets to enjoy both holidays ;) Check out some fun photos after the jump …

Mo’Nique may be a newly crowed Academy Award-winning actress (among the many acting awards she collected this past awards season) but that doesn’t mean that she is ready to give up her day job. Mo is currently on a new comedy tour called Spread the Love which has her heading around the country. Last night, Mo’Nique performed at the Nokia Theater L.A. Not only is Mo’Nique riding high on winning the Washington, DC, Boston, Los Angeles and New York Film Critics’ Awards, a SAG Award and a Golden Globe Award, having a top-rated late night talk show on BET and most recently an Academy Award nomination, but she is also readying herself to embark upon a highly anticipated comedy tour—Spread the Love Tour 2010. Milla Jovovich and Ali Larter were among the stars who attended WonderCon 2010 in San Francisco, CA this weekend to promote their wares to the fans in attendance at the annual comic book, science fiction, and motion picture convention. This year, Milla and Ali were on hand to promote their upcoming sequel film Resident Evil: Afterlife which is due to hit theaters this September … behold:

As you might expect from these sorts of fan conventions, the ladies were there to talk up their new movie, answer very specific questions from the audience and just look hot for the fans. When last we saw David Beckham, the injured soccer stud was sitting last week in a VIP skybox at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA cheering on his LA Galaxy soccer team. We learned just a few days prior that his wife Victoria Beckham returned home from her world travels to finally spend time with her injured hubby. Today we learn that Les Beckhams have jetted off to enjoy some vacay-time together in the Caribbean so that Becks can rest his bum leg and so that Vicki B. can work on her tan:

There’s surely no better way to get over the disappointment of not playing in the World Cup than by enjoying a luxurious Caribbean holiday. But it’s going to take more than that to cheer up David Beckham, who was ruled out of playing in the tournament after snapping his Achilles tendon in a football match last month. The sportsman, who is currently on a relaxing break with wife Victoria on an exclusive Caribbean resort, failed to muster up a smile as he used his crutches to stroll along the beach. However, the couple are said to be planning to raise David’s spirits by adding another child to their brood. A source told the News of the World: ‘Victoria is looking curvier and healthier than she has in a long time and she thinks another baby could distract David from football. ‘They are clearly having a very romantic time together. They have been together the entire trip. They have been getting spa treatments and have also spent a lot of time just the two of them in the villa.’ Victoria, who has four sons with David, is said to have made a conscious effort to gain weight in a bid to conceive another child. A source told The Sun last week: ‘It’s no secret Victoria and David want a little girl.’ After Victoria’s sister Louise said she was having a daughter it has driven Victoria even more to prepare for pregnancy. ‘She’s been told by doctors her diet, though healthy, would not give her the best chance of conceiving, particularly in her 30s. Instead she has been advised to eat a lot more carbohydrates and fatten up. She has agreed and David is over the moon.’

Oh lord, here come the baby rumors again … and from News of the World, no less. Rumors of Les Beckhams trying for another baby tend to pop up every year or so … but, considering the state that Becks is in these days (ie. in no state at all to play professional soccer in any capacity, at least for a few months) it KINDA makes sense that the time may be right for another baby. The rumor was, a few years ago, that Les Beckhams wanted their next baby — hopefully a girl — to be born in the US (this story went around just as the family moved to the US so that Becks could play professional soccer with the LA Galaxy). They’ve been in the US for a few years now and … no baby. I, personally, would LOVE for the family to add another baby to the mix. A fourth child would be a great addition, I think. Whether another Beckham baby is being conceived on this particular Caribbean holiday or not, I surely hope that Becks is able to get some rest on this trip … but not too much rest ;) He may be out of commission on the soccer field but that don’t mean he needs to be out of commission between the sheets. Mama Jessica Alba took her little chicklet Honor Marie out to pick up some Easter supplies for their holiday celebration this year. Jess and Honor were spied picking up some plastic Easter eggs, a few toys and a pre-packaged Easter basket from their local drug store … which I love!! I grew up with pre-packaged Easter baskets (none of those fancy schmancy homemade baskets) so I think it’s cute that Honor will grow up with them, too:

You gotta love a celebrity that keeps it real … and you generally don’t get more real than Jessica Alba. For Honor, the memories she will grow up remembering are the times spent with her family as they celebrate the holidays, not the price tag on the toys and gifts she receives. I bet that the entire Alba-Warren family will have themselves a fantastic Easter together! And I certainly hope that YOU, too, have a great Easter today as well :)
