‘Sex And The City 2’ Releases A 3rd Promo Poster

My friends, my comrades, my compatriots … please forgive me for what I am about to show you. The folks promoting Sex and the City 2 have released a third movie poster which, on the positive side, features all of the SaTC ladies (not just Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw). On the negative side, the ladies appear to be Photoshopped TO DEATH in this new poster … which words cannot even describe:


I mean … this looks pretty bad. If I were Kim Cattrall (who plays the blonde Samantha Jones), I’d sue! They didn’t even use her face in this poster! It’s just … terrible. I’m really stunned that shoddy retouching like this was able to pass muster and be OKed for release of a movie of this magnitude. I am still very excited to see the film but if this is the type of workmanship that is being applied to other promo materials, I don’t think I need to see any other posters. This one will haunt my nightmares just fine. Yikes!

Watch: Behind The Scenes Video Of Christina Aguilera On The Set Of ‘Burlesque’

Earlier today, Christina Aguilera created quite a stir with the release of her new music video for Not Myself Tonight (the lead single off her new album Bionic) but right now we get to check out another video from Ms. Xtina that might appeal to fans. Access Hollywood brings us a full-length performance from the set of Xtina‘s new film Burlesque which looks nothing like her new video for Tonight but does look a bit like her days working at the Moulin Rouge:


I mean … yeah. If Xtina is lookin’ to avoid criticism that she is copying others I don’t know that this clip is going to help her cause. I’m certain that Burlesque isn’t meant to look exactly like the film Moulin Rouge but I can’t help but think Moulin Rouge as I watch this performance clip. I’m guessing the music used in this clip will NOT be used in the film — which is a good thing. I’m not crazy about this clip … what do you think?

The Brady Bündch Expands For A Park Playdate

Earlier this week we saw cute photos of the Beckham boys hanging out with the Brady boys (Tom and his eldest son John Edward) and today we get to see these Brady boys hanging out with the new Mrs. Brady, Gisele Bündchen, and newborn baby boy Benjamin Rein. As we learned last week, Tom and Gisele are building a new dream home for their new family here in SoCal so they’ve deffo started making themselves at home here in the area. Here are a few supercute pics of the happy family — Tom, Gisele, John and Benjamin — enjoying a day at the park in Santa Monica, CA this week:

After taking baby Benjamin, 4 months, to Paris, where they enjoyed a scenic cruise down the Seine, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen took their little guy to a Santa Monica, Calif., park Thursday. Joining them? Big brother Jack, 2½, Brady’s son with ex Bridget Moynahan. The happy family played together on a playground, and Jack even rode around on a little scooter while Benjamin stayed comfortably perched in his mother’s arms.

I wasn’t aware that they were referring to little John as “Jack” (which I never understood as a nickname, btw) but whatever the case may be, it’s clear they are all working really hard on making a happy family together. I suspect Tom and Gisele decided to settle here in LA so that they could spend more time with John, who lives full-time with his mother Bridget Moynahan. I’m guessing that we will be seeing more of the newly expanded Brady Bündch around town in the coming weeks and months. They look so happy, it’s impossible not to be as happy for them.

Tyler Shields Releases More Photos Of Lindsay Lohan

Yesterday we got to see a batch of new photographs of troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan shot by Tyler Shields for a new book titled The Dirty Side of Glamour. It turns out that Glamour has more dirty sides to show off so today we get to see a new batch of photos from the shoot. In these photos, there is more blood, more handgun use and more Lindsay Lohan screaming for attention:

In the wake of her father’s campaign to reform her hard-partying ways, Lindsay Lohan’s bringing out the big guns. Well, one gun to be specific. In a recent photo shoot with celebrity photographer Tyler Shields, the 23-year-old starlet toyed with a pistol and put it to her lips. She also rolled around the floor in lingerie, smeared herself with fake blood, bit a male model participating in the shoot and lit up a cigarette. The photographs will be featured in Shields’ upcoming book, “The Dirty Side of Glamour.” On his blog, Shields wrote that Lohan let loose at the shoot in the name of art: “She is a huge art lover and simply wanted to create some.”

OOOOOOOH, I see … this is meant to be art. Yeah, I’m not buying it. There really is nothing artistic, nothing at all innovative about any of these photos. Not only has this been done before, it’s been done before by Lindsay Lohan herself. I can’t help but feel totally creeped out with seeing her playing with a gun like this. If these photos aren’t surest sign of a cry for help then I don’t know what is. My fear is that sometime in the future we will look back at these photos and think, Wow … she really was crying out for help. I also fear that if/when that day comes it may be too late to save her :(

The iPad Cometh

At last … I’m feeling relatively fine … and Apple tells me that my 64Gb iPad 3G is “out for delivery” on a FedEx delivery truck somewhere in the metropolitan Los Angeles, CA area. While I’m most excited by the fact that I’m no longer feeling like death, I have to admit that I’m also very excited that I will finally get my grubby little paws on an iPad of my own by 3PM today:


I admit, I was not too keen on the idea of an iPad when it was announced earlier this year … but as soon as I was able to sit down and play with one, I understood the appeal. I absolutely still contend that it is just a big iPhone … but, it turns out, that that is its appeal for me. I’ve been in dire need of a mobile computer that is smaller, lighter and more readily accessible than a laptop and bigger, faster and more functional than a mobile phone. I cannot be 100% sold on the iPad just yet, mainly because my experience with the device has been really limited, but I’m willing and very excited to give it a shot. I’m not sure what, if any, effect my iPad will have on how I work but I’m willing to be that it will be one more device that will keep me connected to what is going on … at all times. I’m not sure that’s a good thing just yet but, well, we’ll see.

Oh who am I kidding, I’m a big kid who still loves new toys. I’m really looking forward to an iPad-rich weekend … now if that damn FedEx truck would just get here and deliver the damn thing!

Tonight, David and I will be hanging out with our dear friend Gillian who we haven’t seen in ages … it will be fab to spend some time with her. I foresee many glasses (bottles?) of wine in our near future. It’s the weekend, y’all … I hope yours is a fantastic one!

How To Destroy Angels Teases A New Video Snippet

Earlier this week we learned of a new music project called How to Destroy Angels that appears to be a new offering from Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor and possibly his new wife Mariqueen. While nothing has been officially confirmed, speculation has been running rampant that HTDA is the new band/group/whatever that NIN fans have been hoping would emerge from the end of Nine Inch Nails last year. Today, the official website for How to Destroy Angels was updated with a new teaser video clip:


As I’m sure many of you are well aware, Trent Reznor is NOT featured in this new clip. This is Atticus Ross, musician and longtime NIN producer who worked with TR on the NIN releases With Teeth, Year Zero, Ghosts I-IV and The Slip. I think it is now very safe to say that, 1.) yes this is a Trent Reznor music project and 2.) the music will have at least some NIN-like sound. Rihanna Films A Music Video For ‘Te Amo’

Rihanna, who is currently on tour in Europe with her Last Girl on Earth Tour, made a pit-stop in France to film her new music video for Te Amo in a picturesque French château this week. Here are a few photos for Ri Ri on the French set of her new music video:

Rihanna was clearly in the mood for love as she appeared on the set of her new video. The Bajan singer ditched her usual edgy, scantily-clad outfits for a romantic, flowing maxi dress as she shot the promo for her new single Te Amo. Currently in France for her Last Girl On Earth world tour, Rihanna took time out of gigging to film the video in the scenic location of a French château. After performing at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy on Wednesday night, Rihanna was up bright and early the following morning to shoot the promo at a château in the nearby town of Vigny. With manicured grounds, surrounded by fog against the backdrop of the 16th century castle, Rihanna looked every inch the romantic heroine. But, as expected from Rihanna, she did sex things up a notch when she changed into a racy black basque for another sequence. Joining the 22-year-old on location was French supermodel Laeticia Casta, who looked striking with her dramatic make-up and sexy black outfit. While Rihanna and director Anthony Mandler are keeping tight-lipped over the video’s storyline, a casting call asked for ‘beautiful, sexy and glamorous’ females who are ‘comfortable in their bodies’. Mandler has directed videos for some of the world’s biggest pop stars including Usher, Nelly Furtado, Eminem and Enrique Iglesias and Te Amo is the 11th time they’ve worked together. Writing on his Twitter page, Mandler enthused: ‘Thanks to all of Rihanna’s fans for the long list of suggestions… we’re gonna follow our instincts and give you guys something special … One of the best things about being an artist is the ability to cause controversy.’

Ooooooh, controversy. You know, I was just thinking that there isn’t enough controversy in music videos these days and how shocking it would be if a pop star actually caused a stir with one of their music videos. It’s as if Rihanna read my mind. I mean, I love the girl but I’m no longer intrigued by people courting controversy just for publicity’s sake. I find it hard to believe that this new music video will offer anything exciting and new but, I’ll take a look when it gets released. The only thing that would shock me is if Rihanna — or any other pop star — didn’t try so hard to shock me. Now there’s a novel idea.

Ricky Martin Attends The Billboard Latin Music Awards

Ricky Martin made his first public appearance since coming out of the closet as a gay man last month at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in San Juan, Puerto Rico last night. Ricky was met with a standing ovation from the assembled audience, which I’m sure heartened him immensely. As he introduced one of the performers last night, in Spanish, Ricky spoke out against the heinous new Arizona law that was recently signed and gives police officers the right to question anyone who they think looks like an illegal immigrant. Here are a few photos of Ricky on stage at the Billboard Latin Music Awards last night and some deets about his appearance:

Ricky Martin received a standing ovation from his contemporaries as he made his first public appearance since revealing his homosexuality last night. Stepping on stage at the Billboard Latin Music Awards in his native Puerto Rico, the 38-year-old singer was warmly received by his peers. The pop star’s attendance marked the first time he’s been seen in public since he ‘came out’ as gay on his website on March 29. Introducing a fellow Latin act on stage, Martin took the opportunity to attack Arizona officials for their controversial new law which will allow police to stop anyone they think will be an illegal immigrant. Speaking in his native Spanish, Martin said: ‘This is not in the script… this law makes no sense. You are not alone. We are with you. Put a stop to discrimination. Put a stop to hate. Put a stop to racism.’ Stars in the audience, including Canadian R&B star Nelly Furtado, rapper Wyclef Jean, Mexican singers Thalia and Paulina Rubio, rose to their feet as they applauded Martin’s passionate speech. He added: ‘Long live love, long live peace.’

I had a feeling that Ricky would be making a public appearance soon, doing so at the Billboard Latin Music Awards seems like the perfect place. Not only was the awards show held in his native Puerto Rico, but the BLMAs have been very good to him over the years. I’m also very pleased that he chose to speak out against the completely un-American law that was signed in Arizona recently. I hope other celebs continue to speak out as well and that my fellow Americans rise-up to denounce this disgusting law.. But, this is really about Ricky‘s coming out party last night. I’m glad to know that he was well-received, here’s hoping he will continue to be well-received in the future.

Halle Berry & Gabriel Aubry Are Dunzo!

Sad break-up news to pass along today … People magazine is citing “multiple sources” and is reporting that Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry and model Gabriel Aubry have broken up. After 4 years together, which resulted in a beautiful babygirl named Nahla Ariela, it appears the steam has run out on their relationship. They are dunzo, y’all:

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have broken up after four years together, according to multiple reports. The Oscar winner and the Canadian model are reportedly in negotiations to work out a custody agreement regarding their 2-year-old daughter Nahla, TMZ.com reports. Berry, 43, and Aubrey, 34, met at a Versace store opening in Manhattan in February 2006. Their daughter was born two years later. In February 2009, Berry told Essence magazine about motherhood, “I’m complete. I have more to offer my craft because [my daughter] makes me indelibly better every day.” That same month, Aubry told PEOPLE that Nahla “needs a sibling. I think it’s important.” Berry’s rep couldn’t be reached for comment.

Blah, what a bummer. These two seemed so happy together … but break-ups like this truly show that things are not always as they appear. I guess it’s safe to assume that Halle and Gabriel won’t be makin’ any more beautiful babies together, which is a shame considering what an adorable child they have in Nahla. I certainly hope the couple can figure out an amicable way to hammer out custody of their little girl … she is far too precious to be used as a pawn in a break-up. Here’s hoping this split is for the best, even tho it seems from the outside like a damn shame :(
