Happy news to report today … my dear friend Darion has just launched a new blog called Hollywood Gym People which is based on the AMAZINGLY funny gym tweets he often shares on Twitter. With perfect comic timing, Darion has been entertaining folks on Twitter with his pithy and sometimes scathing commentary from his local gym. Last night was a pretty chill night … I spent much of the evening driving around running errands, happily smelling the flowery night air. Spring is in full effect here in LA … it’s wonderful! David and I settled down last night with a new friend:
I picked up this lovely bottle of Coppola Wine at World Market and, let me tell you, it went down real easy. We enjoyed it very much … so much so that we have decided to stock up :)
No plans for today just yet … we’re trying to figure out our plans for St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow … it’s so sunny and warm today, tho, I’m sure we’ll think of something fun to do :)
I love me some home wine tasting sessions…those are usually the best nights!!! I will have to try this wine!

I am getting married next month and the red and white we chose are both Coppola – the Rosso and the Bianco (which I think just means red and white). I think they are great easy-drinking table wines. You should check them out if you see them – tasty and not too spendy!
I live in Florida where we have the Publix Supermarkets and they carry it there as well. I’ve been wanting to try it, but I have such a problem getting away from my tried and true favorites. I’ll have to try it tomorrow. =)
I have been such a Coppola enthusiast the past 3 or so years now. the claret is an all time fave. goes great with a picnic!
re: the Coppola sparkling – it’s called ‘Sofia Mini Blanc de Blancs’, it comes in a 4-pack of little pink cans with a pink bendy straw on each one, like grown up juice box – and really good!
Costco sells Coppola’s wine too. Buy a case.
The flowery night air you are smelling is night blooming jasmine. I remember when I first moved to LA that I could not believe how good it smelled! Enjoy LA while it’s nice and green from the rain..it will be brown soon enough.
