Last year we saw photos of Shirley Manson and Elijah Wood in a new ad campaign for Oliver Peoples Eyewear and today, Pink reader Chris brings to my attention a short promo film titled Les enfants sennuient le dimanche (The children are bored on Sundays) that features Shirley and Elijah modeling Oliver Peoples Eyewear:
This short film was directed by Autumn De Wilde and features the setting of the promo photos we’ve seen previously from this campaign. The mini-movie is about 2 1/2 minutes long and is deffo worth your time. Check is out after the jump …
HMMM … I really wasn’t expecting these two to start making out so passionately … nor was I expecting to be so disturbed by it. I don’t care how old Elijah Wood actually is, he still looks like a little kid … making out with Shirley Manson. Yeah. It’s a cool film tho … I expect it’ll sell many pairs of sunglasses, don’t you?

Cool video. But not cool enough to get me to spend the big $$ on a pair of sunglasses that will only get lost or broken within a season. For something so expendable, it’s Target all the way!

I don’t know if I’ll buy them next time I go sunglass shopping but I’ll for sure look at them now thanks to this (although nothing quite beats my Ray Ban Aviators).

Being a mom and advocate for youth I was a little distraught by the smoking because it really was made to look so very cool. Would have appealed to me at 13 when I was smoking.

This is like the most amazing thing ever–Shirley Manson, whom I have ADORED since I was a teen, and Elijah Wood, whom I have been IN LOVE WITH since I was a teen. Making out. OMFG. Love it.
I like it too. Very quirky and fun. The facial hair on Elijah looks weird but then again, like Trent says, he reminds me of a little boy….
