Yesterday was spent running around taking care of errands but since the weather was so nice, it was not a chore at all. Sun roof open, windows down … I had a grand time driving around LA. When I returned home, I discovered that a recent order of mine had arrived … which cheered me up immensely! I ordered a new book cover for my Kindle which was created by Oberon Design:

I’m not sure if any of y’all are journalers but if so, you may be well acquainted with Oberon Designs. They make the coolest leather-covered journals … which I’ve been collecting and using for almost 20 years. In the days before blogs, I used to journal extensively in my Oberon journals … I still do. I was very happy to learn that they now offer Kindle e-book covers (as well as Sony and Nook e-book covers), which I promptly ordered (I was surprised to find a small matching pewter charm was included for free in my order, ’twas a nice little bonus). I have an upcoming trip back east for Passover/Easter with David’s family so now my Kindle will be wrapped in this awesome cover. Wee!!
Today, oh man, is gonna be a great day. David booked us spa appointments for massages and I am SO excited!! It’s been a long time since we went out for massages so … I’m really looking forward to it. I hope your day is a great one!!

Oh wow, that stuff is amazing… totally bookmarked. Know where I’m getting jewelry next time!
And that cover is gorgeous!
Beautiful! I need one for my kindle!
@ Keely – lol I totally just saved it to my favorites too, I want the purple butterfly kindle cover – Woo! Thx Trent for posting this, ur awesome!
I have had one of these for a couple of months now, Very worth your money. Very beautiful!
Wow, those are gorgeous. I hadn’t heard of them before. I have a skin on my Kindle with one of the Belkin cases, but I may have to invest in one of these.
You put up a post applauding Joaquin Phoenix for speaking out against animal cruelty just after a post where you feature a Kindle cover made out of LEATHER?
@Andrea – I’ve made no secret that I eat meat and use leather. I’m not a fan of buying/wearing fur or exotic animal skins.
@ Andrea – well, to be totally honest, they didn’t skin a cow after Trent ordered the book cover.. that sucker was already dead. And don’t go on a tangent about me promoting cruelty to animals and blah blah blah. But I mean really. Do you own nothing, NOTHING, made of any animal products? Being 100% vegan is a lifelong, expensive decision, and unless you can honestly say that you own nothing made out of animal bits and bobs, you’re just being ridiculous.
Wow, Trent. That is a lovely cover! It reminds of the tree of Gondor from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
Stupidly I ask : was that they were going for?
Hi Trent,
Thanks for sharing the tip on your Kindle cover. I was wondering were to find a nice cover I love yours. I was thinking the tree on the cover looked more like the Harry Potter tree that always kicks everyone’s ass if you get to close to it…LOL!!!
