Yesterday was a gloriously beautiful day here in SoCal so David and I decided to make our way to Arcadia, CA to spend the afternoon at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden:

While not all of the flowers are quite in bloom just yet, there was enough natural beauty for us to enjoy all afternoon long. After the jump, check out some of the photos I snapped at the LA Arb yesterday and see some of the sunset photos I snapped at Griffith Observatory last night …

They say a photo is worth a thousand words so I’ll let these fun pics speak for themselves. We had a really fantastic afternoon. If you live in the LA area and have yet to visit … I strongly suggest you make the trek. It’s not that far and it is totally worth an afternoon :)
We met up with Darion for an early dinner at PHO Cafe before we made the trek up the mountain to watch the sunset from Griffith Observatory:

I think it’s safe to say we enjoyed the perfect Sunday together :)
We picked up a bonsai tree set from Vroman’s in Pasadena, CA and are gonna try and grow our own tree. I’ll let you know in about 65 years if we are successful :) Happy Monday, y’all!!

<3 love you getting back to Nature! :)
That looks really fun!!!
The next time you are in NY you must see the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It is so Beautiful in the spring and summer.
@Dana — I’ve been there, I love it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/t.....874614080/
Have you ever been to The Huntington Library and Gardens? It’s pretty close to the Arboretum, and it has amazing plants too.
Pretty pics, did you chase a peacock?
Yay arboretum! =) I live in the next city away from Arcadia and peacocks sometimes wander around to our side of the neighborhood. ahaha
Sounds like it was a fantastic day(:
