The biopic The Runaways won’t hit theaters for a couple of weeks but right now we get to hear actresses Kristen Stewart (who plays Joan Jett) and Dakota Fanning (who plays Cherie Currie) singing the Runaways hit song Cherry Bomb!
I gotta admit … they sound pretty damn good. I’m guessing their vocals were autotuned to perfection for the soundtrack but still … they sound like the real Runaways. They’re not bad, right? I’m really anxious to see this film … if the movie is half as decent as this song is, I think I’ll be satisfied. What do y’all think … do we like this ong?

Does anyone else laugh the way she says “Hello MOOOm”??
I’m I the only one who thinks this sounds terrible? Maybe I just don’t like that kind of music. I think it sounds terrible, and I think the movie looks really boring. SORRY!

the only criticism is that dakota sings/sounds like a teenager. cherie sounded older than 15 when she sang..she had more of a husky tone. still pretty good though!

how can people criticize this just by saying “that was terrible” frankly its really good and shockingly similar to the original. At first i had low expectations of this film but to be honest this clip and the trailer are proving me wrong allready.
I’m a huge joan jett/runaways fan. I am not at all impresseed The original version and jett’s version are MUCH BETTER they should have just had these two lip sync to the original why is Dakota Fanning in this movie????? I can not imagine this being good
