Sad to hear news about Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes breaking up.
Sad about Kate :(
And wtf is up with all the Jen Aniston hate, trent? What did she do to anyone? I wish people would quit kissing Brad and Angelina’s asses. Its not like they’re saints.
@Kyle — I don’t understand how constructive criticism is labeled “hate”. Love Jen on ‘Friends’, can’t think of a single movie she’s made that is good. No hate … well, except for her acting choices. And what, pray tell, does any of this have to do with Brad and Angelina?
@taylor my heart dropped when I read that!
I could see that the tabloids are ruining her career…as a result of being a ‘tabloid face’ she probably gets offered worse parts. Directors probably aren’t as eager to work with her when she has such a distinct character in the tabloid magazines and really doesn’t seem to ask for it, unlike say Lindsay who cries about the tabloids but most definitely continues to beg for it. I feel bad, but agree that she could probably overcome the tabloid effect with an outstanding acting performance. More like “The Good Girl” less like “The Baster” haha
@Kyle: Unless you are personal friends with Jen Aniston, I suggest you pop a Xanax and save the defending for human beings that you come into actual contact with.
Jen is SO tired of being a tabloid face that she goes immediately to a gossip site and cries about it. (If I could roll my eyes any harder they would be permanently stuck in the back of my head).
Courtney Love is batshit crazy.
I’m sad about Kate and Sam too…thought they had a solid marriage. Never can tell eh. :(
Noo, Kate and Sam, they looked solid indeed.
(A little sneaky to think, but Kate and Leo aaah, can you imagine?! ;) )
Oh no Kate! I hope they can work things out. I wonder if it was just the 7 yr itch? I’ve seen friends go through it and make it work.
@Trent, well whatever. I think Marley and Me was good, i thought Bruce Almighty was good, i thought The Break Up was ok but we all have different opinions. Oh and the Brad and Angie part was not directed at u. Just the media in general.
Oh and @Donoso… i didnt really say anything other than i dont get the hating on Jen. That was all. Chill.
@Juneh I was wondering the same thing! I always thought it was a little suspicious just how much Kate proclaims her love of Leo and practically swooned over Leo in every interview she did after Revolutionary Road came out. ~~~ As for
Aniston, I’d like to see her try to carry a movie on her own. She’s always the girlfriend and 2nd billing. I like her, but she chooses roles that any actress can do. It’s time to break away from the romantic comedies.
I can’t say I am surprised by the Winslet/Mendes split. She always seemed kind of indifferent about him, while lavishing praise on Leo at every chance she got.
My husband will not watch any more movies with Jen Aniston as he thinks they are all stinkers. It’s not because they are mostly chick flicks, he actually likes those. I think she has made some poor choices, but so has Sandra Bullock. Maybe just not as many, and Sandra can act her way out of a paper bag.
Jessica Simpson needs a stylist. She doesn’t wear the most flattering clothes. That dress looks terrible on her.
RIP, Peter
@ Manda, Jen did Derailed with Clive Owen (albeit it was still a second billing), but it certainly wasn’t a romantic comedy. I actually found the movie quite good, and actually own it :)
Oh, and sorry to double post but I forgot to mention it. Nice to see Letterman dethroned from the throne he was only in while Leno and Conan were both off the air… I cannot stand Letterman, he’s such a jerk.
@Bee ONE movie that wasn’t critically or commercially successful is not good enough of an example LOL And what has she done since then? Yeah, romantic comedies. Don’t get me wrong, I do like her, I just think her career is kind of stuck right now in romantic comedies. Just like Matthew Maconahay actually.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Oh Jesus. I LOVEEEEEE Kate Winslet and I’m devastated to hear that her and Sam are breaking up! OH GOD. Does no couple stay married anymore?! So sad…
