Trent, I just clicked on a link but instead was asked about a survey once I was “done”, is that legit?
March 8th, 2010 at 11:57 am
Also noticeably absent from the Oscar Memorial tribute – the amazing Bea Arthur!! Thumbs down, Oscars!!
March 8th, 2010 at 11:58 am
@Margie — What was the link? Do you have a screenshot?
March 8th, 2010 at 12:02 pm
Honestly, I didn’t even notice that Farrah was missing, although I do find it odd that they include Michael Jackson and not her.
March 8th, 2010 at 12:10 pm
I didn’t take a screen shot of it. It was just a tiny little box in the bottom right that told me to not close the box because I was going to take a survey after I was done. It came up after I clicked on the link about George Clooney. I lost my previous computer to viruses so I clicked out quicker than I could think. :(

- Miley Cyrus is disgusting.
- George Clooney’s hair was ridiculous.
- Tim Gunn’s comments are irrelevant. I mean, he only wears plain suits. Sure, he may look sharp, but he has no style variety. The man may know what he’s talking about but his constant bitchiness serves as a deep annoyance to my ears and eyes.

@Margie — The Clooney link is from Gawker, perhaps the pop-up came from them? I do not allow pop-ups on my site … but I will investigate further.

@Chase — Sorry Chace, my boy, I have to disagree. Tim Gunn is a true class act with the utmost style and grace. He speaks the truth and I hope he will continue to do so.

and bea arthur was left out as well!! what were they thinking?!
March 8th, 2010 at 12:30 pm
Did anyone notice Penelope Cruz? I think her ruching was covering something up!!
March 8th, 2010 at 12:33 pm
I can’t believe they left out Farrah! I can’t seem them consciously deciding to do so. Yes, they have a point its impossible to “fit in” everyone whose passed away in the year, but someone whose illness and death were so widely reported is NOT someone it…sounds like a lame attempt to cover up that they simply forgot…..
@Kyleigh: I love Bea, but her career was in television, not film.
March 8th, 2010 at 12:59 pm
i don’t think something crawled up Geroge’s ass and died. Alec was giving him “stink-eye” jokingly before they panned to Geroge. he was just playing it up.

I completely agree with Tim Gunn. And I think Sandra deserved the Razzie far more than she deserved the Oscar. I thought it was a bit odd that she suggested the Razzie audience watch the movie again and tell her what to do differently…that sounds so defensive. Can’t she just admit that it was a terrible movie/performance?
March 8th, 2010 at 1:09 pm
@C — I dunno, George seemed really grumpy/pissy all night long … I get he was playing around with Alec in that bit but he seemed irritated all night long.
March 8th, 2010 at 1:20 pm
@Trent I would be irritated too if I had to sit through such a god-awful show lol
March 8th, 2010 at 1:28 pm
@Manda — True fact :)
March 8th, 2010 at 2:12 pm
From one who DIDN’T watch the Oscars – ALWAYS BORING! – I am surprised they left Bea out. She was amazing; did almost everything. She got her star in theater – winning a prestigious Tony award in 1966 for her work in the Broadway musical “Mame”, reprising her role in the 1974 film version.

She worked her ass off!
March 8th, 2010 at 6:07 pm
@roxster – While it’s true Bea Arthur’s career was mainly in television on in the theatre, she had small and cameo roles in many films. If Michael Jackson’s minimal film credits qualified for acknowledgement, Bea Arthur should also have been included.
March 8th, 2010 at 7:47 pm
@ Kyleigh: Thats true. Although I don’t think michael should have been included….cnn pointed out he had the wiz, this is it, and a men in black II cameo to his film credits (making the the point he really had no film credits). i think I would have been surprised to see Bea in there, although a few people have pointed out film roles she had I overlooked, so at least Bea had some credits to her name.
@ Trent: CNN posted a funny story from frisky about George looking so upset.

Trent, I will continue to love you because you don’t trash this site with Kardashian shit. Anything (outside of Gunn’s fantastic comments) having to do with them I do not trust to read – it’s all PR.
