Alas … sad news to pass along today. Ghost Whisperer co-stars and once paramours Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy have broken up, y’all. I can’t say that this news comes as a big surprise to me … you may recall that J. Love celebrated her birthday last month in high style and, curiously, Jamie was not in attendance at her shindig. I thought it was very odd that Jamie was not included (for whatever reason) in Jennifer‘s fun birthday party … I guess now we know why. Jamie Love is dunzo, y’all!
After a year-long romance, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy have broken up, a rep has confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE. No further details were available. Though some in the blogosphere called them an unlikely couple, Kennedy and Hewitt regularly gushed over each other. When Kennedy first confirmed the romance in March 2009, he told Ryan Seacrest during a radio interview, “I’m in love!” Describing his costar on Ghost Whisperer, Kennedy said: “It’s like, ‘Wow, you are hot. You can sing, you can dance, you’re like, so smart and, wow, you can cook pasta fagioli, too.’ ” Hewitt called her beau “hilarious,” but praised him as more than just a funnyman. “There are people in your life who are just supportive and who just look at you and they see who you are,” Hewitt told Ellen DeGeneres last year. “And [Jamie] really saw who I was as a person more than anybody had ever done in my whole life. I think that’s for me when I sort of went, ‘Oh, wow.’ “
Ugh … as unsurprising as this break-up is … it really seems like these two weren’t meant to be. Jennifer Love broke up with her fiancée of 3 years, Ross McCall, in January of 2009 and she was already hooked up and dating Jamie by March of 2009. If that isn’t a classic case of rebound, I don’t know what is. To be honest, I’m surprised that Jamie Love lasted a year. It is very sad that things couldn’t work out for them … but these things just sort of happen. I’m sure J. Love will find someone new in no time … and I wish nothing but the greatest happiness for Jamie Kennedy (who is a really great guy). Boo … it’s a shame that things just couldn’t work out :(

Good. I never thought they were a right couple anyways. I really hope she fall for her on screen husband David Conrad. I think they would make a perfect couple. ( Jlove has a tendency to fall for her co-stars anyways).
I’m sorry to read they are no longer an item. JLH needs to take a breather……it seems she just goes from one relationship to the next. I hate to admit but I knew this relationship would not last since like Trent stated she was engaged and then bam…Jamie Kennedy. Enjoy being single jennifer for a change.
