Okay … so last week we got our first look at the promo trailer for a planned sequel to Showgirls which is directed by Marc Vorlander and tells the (very odd) story of a new Las Vegas showgirl. But today, courtesy of Boy Culture, we see another trailer for a seemingly different Showgirls sequel titled Showgirl … which was written and directed by Rena Riffel who, you may recall, starred as Penny Slot/Hope in the original Showgirls film. In all honestly, as TERRIBLE and low budget as this trailer looks, it appears to be the more appropriate sequel film:

OMG … I love this trailer. It’s got an original castmember from the original film, it’s got a bitchy drag queen, a scary little person and what looks to be a total film budget of $20. I sincerely hope we will be able to see this Showgirls sequel in full. After the jump, check out the cheesetastic trailer/featurette and the official movie poster artwork …

LMAOOOO! Don’t lie … isn’t this trailer far superior in all way to the Showgirls 2 trailer we saw last week? I am DYING to see Rena Riffel‘s Showgirl in theaters … or, you know, in straight-to-DVD form :)
