Today Conan O’Brien announced an upcoming comedy tour called The Legally Prohibited from being Funny on Television Tour and I managed to secure a couple of FANTASTIC tickets to see him perform live (comedy, music and more!) on stage here in LA next month:

Those of you interested in seeing Conan on tour should visit TeamCoco.com to see if he is coming your way and to purchase tickets. I’m very excited to see the man himself on stage … I think his legions of fans will be happy to see him live as well.
Tonight, tho … oooooh, tonight … David and I have plans to do something very cheesy and very fun. We are double-dating with our friends Josh and Emma to see a show that … well … it’s truly one of a kind. After the jump, find out what we are going to see …

Wee!! I love Cats!! I’ve seen it a couple of times but it’s been many, many years. Cats is being performed at the Pantages Theater here in Hollywood, CA and we are all very excited to see it … to partake in the Jellicle Ball!! Woot!! Hopefully I’ll have some fun photos to share tomorrow. I’ll be certain to carry the … Memory … of our night out tonight.

I think Conan O’Brien’s attitude about this has been great; he seems to be upbeat and really doing his best to “stick it to the man” good for him for making it embarrassing for them to screw him over :D
I love, love, love that show. Seen it about 20 times, on Broadway once and the rest in New Orleans. The singing and dancing are the best I’ve seen in any musical.
omg… i’m so jealous !! :D
Coco will be awesome…he is coming to Phoenix too! Cats, never seen but I heard it was good!
Oh I love “Cats!” I have seen it SO many times….my first I was 7 years old and I got to dance in the aisle with Rum Tum Tugger! lol..I’ll never forget that!
I was TOTALLY going to buy two tickets and they were ALL SOLD OUT in Austin (yeah, Texas – LOL). Boooo.
But CONGRATS to you, Trent! I hope it’s so fun. I’m sure it will be.
Well Trent, we may agree on most things, but I cannot join you in your love for Cats. I actually walked out of it (and Phantom of the Opera). Just can’t stand ALW’s work. Way too cheesy..would rather stick hot needles in my eyes. lol Don’t like Conan either…don’t find him at all funny. But, you know, different strokes…..won’t hold your bad taste in music or comedians against you. lol
@debho — Cats is all about the DANCE, you know. Hahahaha … trust me, we’re going for a good time not serious musical theater. I agree, ‘Phantom’ sucks beyond suck. But I do love ALW’s ‘Technicolor Dreamcoat’ — that’s a damn good show there.
Debho, I agree with you completely! I can’t stand ALW’s work either. I wish I could see Coco, that is great that so many people are supporting him.
I LOVE CATS!!! Macavity rocks. I recited the poem by that name for my Grade 2 talent show…”He’s the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad’s despair/for when they reach the scene of crime – Macavity’s not there!” So cool :)
Ah! I found out about this too late to get tickets to Conan’s Toronto show :( Here’s hoping he adds a second show!
great poster!
I love Cats. Went to a performance in Portland, Maine a few years ago. Lucky us we had front row center seats. I would go again.
I managed to get ONE ticket to the Austin show. I cannot wait!!! SO excited!!! Have fun at Cats, haha! I’ve seen it so many times in the West End. My mother’s favorite musical!
Trent – thanks to reading your blog, I was able to remember to get tickets. They were sold out in Vancouver so I’m driving down to Seattle to see Conan. I can’t wait. I haven’t been this excited for a show in years. Thanks! Just one more reason to keep reading your blog!!!
I’m going to the Coco show too! At the Gibson Amphitheatre on the 24th :) and I’m contemplating going to the show on the 25th also.
I read that Conan isn’t making any money from the show and he’s doing it for his staff which he still pays with his own money (created a small corporation to pay them). The man is truly awesome!!!
Didn’t expect that under the cut!Our HS is doing Cats as their spring musical-I’ve never seen it before and look forward to seeing it next week!
