Earlier this week, ChristinaAguilera.com was updated with a cryptic message that BIG NEWS was on the way alongside a countdown timer that hit zero today. Once the timer ran out, the site was updated with our first look at the artwork for Xtina‘s new single Not Myself Tonight:
Thus far … this is all the news on Xtina‘s new music that we have to go on. There is a new countdown timer on her site which promises the release of more BIG NEWS but we won’t know what said news is until tomorrow. I can’t say that I was a big fan of Xtina‘s most recent work but I’m encouraged that his new album will feature collaborations with some great folks (including the amazing singer/songwriter Sia). I’ll reserve judgment ’til I hear some of her new music. In the meantime, what do y’all think of this single cover artwork? Do we like?

I was never a fan of Christina’s music. Only certain stuff, yes, but for the most part, not at all. I wish she would hire a vocal coach because if she did, she could be up there with the likes of Whitney Houston pre-crack days. I’m very intrigued to hear her new stuff!
@CHASE — I agree with you totally. I like some songs but not all. Xtina tends to overdo it when she sings, it’s really irritating. Here’s hoping her new stuff is fun pop and not operatic nonsense.
I think people will be really surprised by her new stuff. She has finally found the confidence to sing softer! I REALLY liked the new songs on her greatest hits cd, they were very fun and pretty different from her past work. I read the interview with her in Marie Claire…girl sounds like she finally understands herself and her instrument.
Um…Madonna called and wants her image back. Love ya and your voice, Christina, but this is a BLATANT rip-off Madge.

I was a fan but got tired of waiting for new music..Back to Basic had great songs to watch her perform live but not so good for radio..I love her song Fighter but the vocal warm ups she does in the middle of the song takes away the flow.Learn to hold a note Christina…Saw her on You Tube sing Keeps Getting Better live it was awful the part she couldn’t sing well she did the vocal warm up thing I just don’t see her changing.
