First Look: Christina Aguilera, ‘Not Myself Tonight’

Earlier this week, ChristinaAguilera.com was updated with a cryptic message that BIG NEWS was on the way alongside a countdown timer that hit zero today. Once the timer ran out, the site was updated with our first look at the artwork for Xtina‘s new single Not Myself Tonight:


Thus far … this is all the news on Xtina‘s new music that we have to go on. There is a new countdown timer on her site which promises the release of more BIG NEWS but we won’t know what said news is until tomorrow. I can’t say that I was a big fan of Xtina‘s most recent work but I’m encouraged that his new album will feature collaborations with some great folks (including the amazing singer/songwriter Sia). I’ll reserve judgment ’til I hear some of her new music. In the meantime, what do y’all think of this single cover artwork? Do we like?

    Love Christina, but not this cover. I do agree that Christina goes overboard vocally and sounds much better when she’s not trying so hard. I think I’ve heard that this album will be less of the “screaming” and more controlled.

    I’ve always liked Christina. She has a really beautiful voice. I also like how she isn’t afraid to change her image. N’ I gotta say, I think she is one of the few women that can actually pull off the whole ‘vintage pin up girl’ look that, for some reason, most women are trying to look like now.(Sorry if that last part didn’t make sense, I couldn’t think of the correct wording for it)

    Not a huge fan..to me she just seems a little irrelevant and that terrible terrible song keeps getting better put me right off. Is it just me or does her nose look really weird like a pig nose?! maybe just me??!!

    Xtina’s new album is 80′s inspired as far as i’m aware. It blends a lot of genres into one, whether those rumours are true. A lot of producers have been very hush hush on WHAT they made, but very OPEN about CREATING it. They continue to tease fans about working with Xtina, yet no one knows anything beyond that.

    I’m MOST excited about her collab with M.I.A. than anyone else! Sia said her songs are more ballads i think, so i’m less excited about that!

    omg. you guys are such haters. she is doing something different. she is not like all the other pop singers. She knows how to get a buzz going. She is smart and talented. Stop comparing her to other singers. She is amazing. PERIOD. Let her live. She isn’t releasing terrible and forgettable music like everyone else. CHRISTINA IS THE BEST!
