Despite rumors to the contrary, Edward Norton has dashed hopes this weekend at the South by Southwest conference in Austin, TX by insisting that a sequel to his 2008 film The Incredible Hulk will likely NOT be made. While Norton didn’t flat out and say it would never be made, he did say that there are no plans to make a sequel and even if so … it would not come for a very long time:
Since “The Incredible Hulk” was released in 2008, there have been talks about the sequel. In contrary to reports which sound certain that “Hulk 2″ is going to be made, Edward Norton says to Cinematical at the 2010 SXSW during the weekend that the upcoming movie would never come out. “I don’t think so,” he answered when asked whether or not “Hulk” sequel is happening. “I think they’ve got a whole lot of stuff to spool out before they get on into [a 'Hulk' sequel],” he further explains to MTV. Not only he will not return for another “Hulk” movie, Edward also says he has no cameo appearances in “Iron Man 2″, “Thor” and “The First Avenger: Captain America”. Though so, he does not rule out possibility of seeing him playing Hulk again as Norton says, “We’ll see what they want to do. I figure it’s a ways down the road.” The actor additionally hints that his character may appear in another Marvel’s film “The Avengers”, stating “I think at some point they’re going to figure out how they want to get around to ‘Avengers’.” Back in late 2008, Tim Blake Nelson as well as Tim Roth claimed they have signed on to do two “Hulk” sequels. “I’m signed on to do ‘Hulk 2′ and ’3′ whether Edward’s there or not,” the depicter of Samuel Sterns revealed. Though so, there have been no official words on a sequel to “The Incredible Hulk”.
This is bummer news for me … I loved The Incredible Hulk. Norton‘s Hulk film was far superior to the crappy film that Ang Lee made previously. I would LOVE to see a sequel film starring Edward Norton for another run as the big green man. Alas … it doesn’t sound like it’s meant to be. Any Hulk fans out there? Are you as bummed as I am that there may be no part deux?

This is one movie that I wanted to see a sequal too, even more than Iron Man. I don’t see the logic, since the first was such a big hit, it would seem that more people would go see the sequal. :(

I heard they will make a Incredible Hulk 2 Sequel to 2008 after the Avengers 2012 movie. I ve wrote Louis Leterrier and Gale Ann Hurd about CGI animation, they need a human Hulk starring Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk.

I want to say that they need to have The Incredible Hulk 3 Sequel to 2008-2013 film starring Edward Norton as the Lead, Tim Blake Nelson, Liv Tyler and william Hurd,Tim Roth.
