In the wake of the news today that Sandra Bullock moved out of her home with husband Jesse James just before reports of his infidelity with a tattoo model went public, James has issued a public apology to Sandra and his children (published by People magazine) taking full responsibility for their personal problems. Without fully admitting his guilt, methinks Jesse is kinda sorta admitting his guilt:

“The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment. There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”

Clearly he is owning up to his “poor judgment” leading to “pain and embarrassment” for his wife Sandra and his children … which basically sounds like he is owning up to the allegations of his infidelity (after all, what else could he be referring to?). While Jesse is making his public mea culpas, his alleged mistress Michelle Bombshell McGee is sharing the racy text messages she received from Jesse while they were reportedly cheating together. Kevin Jonas, whether he likes it or not, is featured in a new ad campaign for a Spanish product called Libidus which is marketed as a form of Viagra. I assume the company used an unauthorized photo of Jonas passionately kissing his new wife Danielle Deleasa in the ad to drum up a bit of publicity … OR, mebbe Kevin just wants the world to know where he gets his sex mojo? Whatever the case may be … here is the ad and an English translation:

On Monday we got to see photos of new mom Gisele Bündchen on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vogue magazine and today we get to see pics of her hubby Tom Brady tossing around the ol’ pigskin with his faithful pet pooch by his side … behold:

While it is still far too soon for Tom to play catch with his newborn son with Gisele, little Benjamin Rein, I’m certain that Tom is very much looking forward to the day that he can pass on his love of football to his young sons. In the meantime, I guess he’ll just have to rely on the companion ship of man’s best friend until his boys are old enough to play with him ;)

Kathy Griffin was on hand in Washington DC to appear at a planned protest at the White House to demand the repeal of the US Military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy which bans gays from openly serving in the armed forces. Famed gay rights activist, Lt. Dan Choi decided to team up with Kathy at today’s protest to ensure that their message be heard … Choi took things a bit further by handcuffing himself to the gates of the White House, resulting in his immediate arrest. Here are photos and deets from today’s DC protest:

In an act of civil disobedience, Lt. Dan Choi and Jim Pietrangelo have been arrested at the White House gates on Thursday while protesting the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Following a Human Rights Campaign rally for DADT repeal in Washington earlier today, Choi and Pietrangelo led about 100 protesters to the White House, where the two then proceeded to handcuff themselves to the gates. Choi was speaking at the HRC rally at Freedom Plaza when he asked the group’s executive director, Joe Solmonese, if he would also march to the White House. Pietrangelo was discharged from the military under DADT, while Choi’s discharge is pending. Choi is the founder of Knights Out, a West Point alumni organization supporting LGBT soldiers. “You’ve been told that the White House has a plan,” Choi told rally attendees. “But we learned this week that the president is still not fully committed. … Following this rally, I will be leading [the protest] to the White House to say ‘enough talk.’ … I am still standing, I am still fighting, I am still speaking out, and I am still gay.” Police officers had blocked the gates of the White House with yellow tape and pushed back the protesters, who were chanting DADT repeal slogans and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Kathy Griffin, who was in Washington at the behest of HRC to meet with members of Congress about DADT repeal, was also at the rally. When asked by Choi if she would march with him to the White House, Griffin responded, “Of course!” Neither Griffin nor Solmonese was seen at the White House protest, however. The HRC has released the following statement on the rally: “Today more than 1,000 people showed up at a rally — 500 of which signed up to become more involved in the fight to repeal ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ Joe Solmonese along with [gay Iraq war veteran] Eric Alva and others felt it was important to stay and engage those at the rally in ways they can continue building the pressure needed for repeal. This does nothing to diminish the actions taken by Lt. Choi and others. This is the nature of social change and everyone has a role to play.” Gay rights activist Robin McGehee was also arrested after she had apparently helped the two discharged soldiers handcuff themselves to the fence. An officer who arrested McGehee said “I can’t say anything” on why she was taken into custody.

Clearly, Lt. Choi — who has been speaking out on the repeal of DADT for many months now — felt that this act of civil disobedience was the only way to make sure his message is heard. It’s acts of protest like this that make up much of the US history of civil rights and I can’t help but be impressed by the commitment it takes to take a stand like this for the greater good. It is far too soon to tell if today’s protest will have any effect on whether or not the DADT policy gets repealed but today’s protest will surely go down in the annals of the history of gay rights in this country. I sincerely hope that Choi‘s efforts today will result in the eventual repeal of the DADT policy. We’ll just have to see if the powers that be will respond favorably. Contrary to new ridiculous reports that Britney Spears and her agent/beau Jason Trawick have broken up (for the umpteenth time), our dear Britwick stepped out for a fun day of shopping together in Beverly Hills, CA. Britney even wore some fun head-wear for the occasion as the couple walked hand in hand … behold:

Rumours Britney Spears has split from her boyfriend Jason Trawick have been widely circulating on the internet in recent weeks. Trawick was said to have pledged to continue working as the pop star’s agent, following the breakdown of their year-long romance. But as the two went shopping yesterday their relationship appeared more than just business. They walked hand-in-hand, with Trawick keeping the 28-year-old protectively behind him. Despite the close body language Britney didn’t look happy, with a glum expression on her face. The mother-of-two’s outfit contrasted with her frown – she wore a playful crown on her head, before swapping this for a pair of Minnie Mouse ears as she shopped. The pair visited Barney’s Of New York in Beverly Hills, before then heading to Party World in Encino.

It seems like we hear about Britwick breaking up every other week … and yet, they still remain happily together. As always, I’m happy to see these two enjoying one another’s company and I hope they will continue to remain happily together. Long live Britwick!!

For St. Patrick’s Day yesterday, David and I wanted to venture out for a fun night out without things gettin’ too crazy. So, we met up with Darion and ventured down to the beach to hang out with our BFFs Josh and Emma. After a few drinks at their place, we made our way to Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach, CA to hunker down for some eats and lots of green beer:

What happens when you throw a house party in Hollywood and you leave your door open to any an all comers? Well, you never know who might come stumbling over your threshhold … unannounced … at 4AM … after the party is long over … which is exactly what happened last Saturday here in SoCal when Kiefer Sutherland did that exact thing at a house party here in LA. Here is a pic of the Kief along with an explanation by the host of said house party:

What do LA-ers do on a Saturday night when they get tired of bar hopping and searching for the Kogi taco truck? They throw a house party! This past Saturday my roommates (Serious ‘Stache contributors) and I decided to open our Beachwood Canyon abode to neighbors, friends, and apparently, Kiefer Sutherland. That’s the beauty of Los Angeles; you never know which inebriated movie star will totter through your door– even if it is 4am and you are the only one left standing, cleaning beer cans and cigarette butts off the floor. Kief walked in looking for a wild rager, only to find me in all my glory, knee deep in trash and clad in flannel pajama pants from 1997. Word travels fast in Hollywood, but not quite fast enough for Old Kief to make it to the party on time. He was kind enough to bring a bottle of Jameson with him (it’s always polite to bring some alcohol to the party.) I’ve gotta say, Kiefer turned out to be one hot fox and a very nice guy. He took time to chat with everyone (he’s sociable), complimented the house decor (he’s courteous), he offered me a swig from his bottle (he’s giving), and let me take a few iphone photos for my mom (she loves 24). He also has a way with words, because as he was leaving he told me (and I quote) that he would “like to maul me like a Russian bear. Like. From that one movie. About a Russian. And a bear.” I don’t know exactly what that means, but I will definitely take it from Jack Bauer.

LOL!! Oh Kiefer … you truly are quite the party animal, you cad. While I’m a bit bothered by the fact that Kiefer still seems to have control issues when it comes to consuming alcohol (a problem that has gotten him in trouble many times before), I’m glad to know that he is a kind party guest (even at 4AM). I don’t know what I would do if Kiefer Sutherland crashed a party at my house but I would hope that it would go down like this scenario here. Much love to the folks at Serious ‘Stache for the head’s up on this AWESOME tale! It sounds like YOUR parties are the kind that I’d love to attend ;)

Sarah McLachlan, who last released an album of new material 7 years ago (a disc called Afterglow), is announcing the release of a new album titled The Laws of Illusion to coincide with the return of Lilith Fair. Wee!! It’s about time that Sarah built herself a new mystery for us to enjoy. I’m not the biggest Sarah McLachlan fan but I really do enjoy many of her songs … most of which I got to hear many times in concert over the years. I’m anxious for new stuff, let me tell you. I would imagine that Sarah might be working thru some pain on this new album, especially since she split from her hubby Ashwin Sood back in 2008. Whatever the subject matter, I just hope the album is good. If Sarah plans to tour for the next 3 years on this new album alone … it better kick ass.

Cougar Town star Busy Philips shared a photo with her Twitter followers yesterday on St. Patrick’s Day … the photo was snapped on “Wine Wednesday” when members of the cast get together to eat, drink and be merry while they shoot new eps of their hit TV series. It may be St. Patty’s day but it’s also one of our last Wine Wednesdays… I’m going to miss my friends on hiatus!

What a cute pic!! By watching their chemistry on Cougar Town, you just know that these folks are really good friends in real life, too. I’m assuming that the hiatus that Busy is referring to is the Summer hiatus between filming seasons. I suspect the show is about to wrap the last ep of season 1 and the cast will no longer be meeting on a weekly basis until filming for season 2 begins in a few months. Something tells me that hiatus or no hiatus, these folks will still get together to hang out as much as possible. It really looks and feels like they are BFFs for reals ;)
