Jordan Bratman & Max Liron Enjoy A Park Playdate

Here’s a cute father and son combo that we don’t usually get to see here on the blog very often (especially without their famous wife and mother) … Jordan Bratman, hubby to popstar Christina Aguilera, and son Max Liron were spotted enjoying the precious sunshine at a park here in LA on Saturday afternoon … here are a few pics:

It’s a very rare occasion when we see the Bratman boys out and about sans Xtina but she was prolly bizzy with work or something like that. Max is a really cute kid … could prolly use a haircut … but a cute kid nonetheless. Xtina is about to blow up again this year with a new album and movie on the horizon so we’ll prolly be seeing more of the Bratmans in the coming months … tho, this peek at the guys hangin’ together all by themselves is really very cute — don’tcha think?

David Beckham Shows Off A New, Censored Tattoo

David Beckham, who is currently on loan to the AC Milan fútbol club, showed off his newest tattoo this weekend after he stripped off his jersey on the soccer field at the end of a soccer match on Saturday. Becks got himself a new tattoo at the top of his left arm of a Renaissance painting of Cupid carrying a nekkid Psyche up to heaven … but Becks‘s tattoo has been (IMHO, lamely) censored to preserve Psyche‘s modesty:

David Beckham isn’t exactly renowned for his modesty after posing in his underwear alongside his lingerie-clad wife in the Emporio Armani adverts. However, when it came to his latest tattoo, it appears the footballer was just too shy to have a naked woman on his arm. Beckham’s latest etching is inspired by a Renaissance painting of Cupid carrying his wife Psyche to Heaven. But the AC Milan striker clearly didn’t feel comfortable with Psyche’s nether regions being on show, so altered the original design to protect her modesty. The original painting was created by 15th century Italian artist Francesco Francia and included Psyche completely naked. But Beckham asked for a veil to be placed across her nether regions, perhaps over fears it would be too rude for his young fans. Beckham’s latest tattoo is thought to be both a romantic tribute to his wife Victoria and his recent stint in Italy while he is currently on his second loan to AC Milan from Los Angeles Galaxy. He showed off his new tattoo for the first time on Saturday as AC Milan drew nil-nil with Roma. This latest etching is thought to be Beckham’s 18th tattoo and comes just two months after he got a Jesus Christ design in memory of his late grandfather Joe West, who died in December. The 34-year-old got a black and white image of Christ drawn on his right side, based on a painting called The Man Of Sorrows by Catholic artist Matthew R. Brooks. In September, Beckham received another one of several tattoo tributes to his wife when he had a ring of 10 roses placed around his arm to signify their 10 years of marriage. Among the many tattoos on Beckham’s torso and arms include the names of the couple’s three sons and a crucifix on his back. He also had a guardian angel on his right arm, to watch over his three sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. Beckham’s tattooist Louis Malloy, from Manchester’s Middleton Studios, had created many of his tattoos and has been flown all over the world to carry out the painful process.

Yes, you recall we got our first look at Becks‘s Jesus tattoo back in January. After the jump, check out a closer look at this new tattoo in a side-by-side comparison with the uncensored original source image …

‘Iron Man 2’ Releases A Second Movie Trailer

Last December we got to check out the first trailer for the upcoming sequel film Iron Man 2 and last night, just after the Academy Awards aired on ABC, the second trailer was released for the film. Here now is our FIRST LOOK at the new trailer for IM2:

This trailer is about a minute longer than the first trailer we got last year and it features a little more Whiplash, a little more War Machine and an awesome peek at Avengers boss Nick Fury. I really love it … and am more excited for Iron Man 2 than ever before. After the jump, check out this new trailer in full …

Kathryn Bigelow Makes History; Wins Best Director, Best Picture Oscars

Kathryn Bigelow … you’ve come a long way, baby! As I’m sure many of y’all are well aware, director Kathryn Bigelow made Academy Award history last night at the 82nd Oscars by becoming the FIRST WOMAN to win the coveted Best Director Oscar … and her film, The Hurt Locker, went on to win the biggest award of the night — Best Picture! Here is a lovely photo of Bigelow and the 2 shiny new men in her life basking in the triumphant glow of victory last night after she won her awards:

Kathryn Bigelow became the first woman to win the Best Director award at last night’s Oscars. The film-maker beat ex-husband James Cameron’s 3-D epic ‘Avatar’ to claim the prestigious honour for Iraq war movie ‘The Hurt Locker’, which took home a further five awards including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. She said: “It’s the moment of a lifetime. And thanks got to my fellow nominees who have inspired me for decades.” Speaking before the ceremony, Cameron paid to tribute to his former spouse, saying: “I’ve extolled her virtues to the world and supported her as a film-maker. I’d be tremendously proud if she won.”

You may recall that Kathryn Bigelow already made film-making history back in January when she became the first woman to win the top prize at the Directors Guild Of America Awards when she became the first woman to win but this Oscar win cements her standing in Hollywood … I couldn’t be more thrilled!! What I find TOTALLY fascinating is that The Hurt Locker became the movie with the lowest grossing box office EVER to win the Academy Award for Best Picture … AND that it beat out the HIGHEST grossing film ever, Avatar, for many of the big important Awards Show prizes (including BAFTAs, etc.). Talk about your David and Goliath. I’ve been pulling for Bigelow and The Hurt Locker ever since I saw the movie last year … I found it vastly superior to Avatar (which was a good movie but hardly the groundbreaking spectacular that the media tried to make it out to be). I think it’s safe to say that Kathryn Bigelow is truly the Queen of the World!! And she deserves all her accolades. Congrats again!!

I’ll have a full Academy Awards post coming up … but I wanted to start the day with the focus solely on Bigelow and her historic achievements last night :)
