Earlier this week we saw photos of Brangelina taking the baby twins out for ice cream just a day before they took their eldest sons for a trip to a museum in Venice, Italy (where the Brangelina bunch will be living for the foreseeable future while Angelina Jolie films her new film The Tourist). Today we get to see photos of Angelina and daddy Brad Pitt (not pictured) taking their son Pax Thien and daughter Shiloh Nouvel to a kiddie birthday party in Venice this weekend:

As I mentioned before, with a gaggle of kids as large as Brangelina has it makes sense that they would break them up into smaller configurations for various outings. This is the third configuration of kids we’ve seen from them this week. I think it’s safe to say that Brangelina will NOT be attending the Academy Awards here in Hollywood, CA tonight. After they attended all of the awards shows last year to lose all the awards they were nominated for (Ange for Changeling, Brad for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) I’m guessing they’ve had their fill of awards show loss for a while. Ah well. It looks like they and the kids are enjoying Venice, tho! Good for them!!

Yesterday I had the extreme pleasure of meeting up with Darion and his parents Janai and Tim for a brunch meal at Rock Sugar at Century City just the four of us and we had a fantastic time:

Daron’s parents are in town for his mom’s birthday this weekend and after our happy brunch, we convened with pretty much every person that Darion has ever known in life at The Abbey for a birthday celebration. Musical goddess Tori Amos is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of the UK publication What?! which is edited and published by Tori‘s longtime BFF and stylist Karen Binns. Here is Tori‘s beautiful and very cool coverphoto fro What?! magazine:

On the cover of this issue we have my long-time friend and sista Tori Amos, which I guess speaks for itself. She is one of the most insanely attractive people of our time: singer, songwriter, producer and a true Goddess. Knowing and hanging out with Tori is like flying on a silver carpet with candied apples and red wine. She has been an inspiration to my creative being for the last 17 years. Tori is the true channeler of our times, her success is not from the size of her wardrobe but from the spirit of her blood. Her Goddess is always on tap. She was born with that ‘thing’ you just can’t purchase, manipulate or steal – it’s original without a price. Last month we learned the AMAZING news that Britney Spears was planning to release her next album in June … news which set the entire vast landscape of the Internets a-fire with excitement!! Unfortch, a few days after that report was released, BritneySpears.com (one of Britney‘s 2 official websites) refuted those claims of an album release … or did it. While the BS.com report called the previous album report Bull Sh*t, they did not specify which portions of the report were erroneous. It now appears that the release date was the part that was wrong because Britney.com (her other official website) is confirming that YES a new album is being recorded, altho no release date has been specified:

Y’all have been bombarding me with questions about Britney’s mysterious seventh studio album… but I don’t really blame you. I CAN’T WAIT EITHER! Rest assured that an album IS in the process of being recorded, and it’s going to be sick. But a release date has not been confirmed or officially announced. As I always say, if it’s not on Britney.com or BritneySpears.com, take it with a grain of salt. ;) I’ll give you new music details as soon as I can. For now… I’m dying to hear your thoughts. What would you like to see/hear on B’s next album? xx♥

Awww yeah! Now this is good news, indeed. I think we knew that Britney‘s new album was on the way, it was just a matter of when. Altho we still do not know when the album will be released (except for the fact that it will NOT be released in June), I think it’s a very good bet that the album will be released this year. You may recall that Britney tends to release new albums near the end of the year … Circus came out in December of 2008, Blackout came out in October of 2007, In the Zone came out in November of 2003 and Britney came out in November of 2001 (while only Oops! … I Did It Again came out in May of 200 and Baby … One More Time came out in January of 1999). I think it’s safe to assume that her next album will be released at the end of the year like her 4 previous albums did. Gah … it’s a long time to wait but I’m certain it will be worth it ;)

Buffyverse album Seth Green and 16 of his closest friends ventured out to Las Vegas, NV to celebrate his 36th birthday about a month late ;) Seth turned 36 back on February 8 but saved the celebratin’ in Sin City for this weekend (I understand Seth has been too bizzy with work for the past few weeks to even take the time to celebrate his bday). Here are photos of Seth and some friends, including BFF Breckin Meyer (The Craft, Clueless) partying at Blush Boutique Nightclub inside the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino last night:

I understand this incredible lookin’ Robot Chicken cake was provided for Seth‘s eating enjoyment by Gimme Some Sugar Bakery. But, before the cake came a sumptuous dinner at the very fancy schmancy Society Café Encore. Considering how long the poor guy had to wait to celebrate his birthday, I understand he and his party celebrated into the wee hours of the morning … killin’ bottles of Grey Goose and Patron. Seth is my homie from way back … he is one of my fave comedic actors and, of course, I will always love him as the werewolf Oz in Buffy the Vampire Slayer!! I hope Seth and his friends enjoyed themselves immensely in Sin City last night … let’s send all of our belated Birthday Lurve to Seth Green today!!

Today is the day … Hollywood’s biggest party takes place at The Kodak Theater in Hollywood, CA for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards and the finishing touches are taking place at Hollywood and Highland to prepare the way for the big to-do. The forecast this week has been for rain today but as I type these words, the beauteous sun is shining thru my window … teasing that Hollywood may avoid the rain today? Even still, the folks who put together the Oscars are taking no chances and have erected a huge tent to cover the entire red carpet … just in case:

Many of the Academy Award nominees are gettin’ ready for the big night RIGHT NOW as they start putting together their red carpet looks, make last minute changes to their hopeful acceptance speeches and (very likely) are wringing their hands with nervous anticipation. I know who I’m picking for Oscar wins this year … and very soon, we’ll know which actors and actresses gave the best performances of the year, which director gave us HER or his best work and which film will be named the BEST PICTURE of the year. Living in LA, it’s hard not to get sucked into the excitement. David and I will be meeting up with members of The Turtle Party: Book Club this evening to watch the Academy Awards together before we hold our monthly book club meeting … it shall be a blast.

Today is the big day when Hollywood throws its biggest party of the year in order to honor the best of the best in film … but before we get to that, let’s turn our attention to the 30th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards which were handed out last night here in Los Angeles, to honor the worst of the worst in film. As you may know, Sandra Bullock is nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards for her work in The Blind Side but she was also nominated (and won!) for Worst Actress at this year’s Razzie Awards for her work on All About Steve. Sandy was a total sport and made an appearance at the Razzie Awards ceremony last night to collect her award in grand style. Here, along with some deets from last night’s Razzies ceremony, are photos of Sandra Bollock collecting her award as well as a photo of writer J.D. Shapiro collecting his “lifetime achievement” award, Worst Film of the Decade, for his work on Battlefield Earth;

Sandra Bullock was crowned top of the flops at the 30th Razzie Awards here Saturday, the annual eve-of-Oscars spoof which pays homage to the very worst of Hollywood. Bullock — who could complete an unprecedented double on Sunday if she wins a best actress Oscar for her performance in “The Blind Side” — delighted guests at Los Angeles’s Barnsdall Theater by appearing to collect her award. The 45-year-old also handed out DVD copies of her offending performance in the box office flop “All About Steve” to guests. “I’ll show up again next year if you promise to watch the movie and really consider if it was the worst performance of the year,” said Bullock after receiving her “Razzie,” a plastic gold spray painted raspberry. “And if it isn’t, I’ll give back the Razzie,” added Bullock, revealing that she had cut out of a charity dinner with Hollywood powerbroker and producer Jeffrey Katzenberg to attend the awards. “Now I’ve got to get back to that event, because you know, it’s Jeffrey Katzenberg and he can basically prevent me from ever working again,” Bullock quipped. Bullock also picked up a Razzie for worst screen couple in partnership with “All About Steve” co-star Bradley Cooper. It was the first time a worst actress recipient had appeared in person to collect their Razzie since 2005, when Halle Berry walked off with the award for her performance in “Catwoman.” Elsewhere Saturday, the Razzies were spread across several films although the big winner was “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” ridiculed as “overlong, over-loud and underwhelming.” The film earned a worst director Razzie for Michael Bay as well as worst screenplay and worst picture. Worst actor was awarded to Disney boy band the Jonas Brothers for their performance in “Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience.” Worst supporting actor Razzies went to Billy Ray Cyrus for his part in “Hannah Montana: The Movie” and Sienna Miller for her part in the action film “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.” To mark the 30th edition of the Razzies, first held in 1980, organizers also revealed their worst under-achievers of the past decade. John Travolta’s much-lampooned Scientology-based sci-fi flick “Battlefield Earth” was crowned worst picture of the decade, while Eddie Murphy was named worst actor for a string of duds which included “Norbit” and “Meet Dave.” Socialite Paris Hilton was named worst actress for her box office flops “The Hottie and the Nottie,” “House of Wax,” and “Repo: The Genetic Opera.”

OMG … I love the Razzies!! What a fun way to “honor” the crappy films that many of us were tricked into seeing last year. While we may not be able to get our money back after we inadvertently see a stinker of a film, at least we can (at the very least) look forward to the Razzie Awards for some consolation. As usual, the Razzie Awards got the winners/losers right this year … I’m in full support of this year’s show. Much love and props goes out to Sandra Bullock and J.D. Shapiro for showing up to collect their awards … we all know their movies sucked, it’s nice to know that they acknowledge that fact as well. Congrats goes out to all the “winners”!!
