‘The Runaways’ Releases A Final Movie Trailer

Last Thursday we got our first look at the newly released TV commercial for The Runaways and earlier this week we got our first listen to Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart performing the Runaways hit song Cherry Bomb. Today we get our first look at the FINAL movie trailer to be released for The Runaways before the film opens on March 19:

By far, this is the best preview trailer yet. I love it. The focus is more on Dakota Fanning‘s Cherie Currie character … and I think that is where the strength of the film will lie. I’m excited for this film, that’s for sure. After the jump, check out this new trailer for The Runways in full …

Sledding by Day, Sulking by Night
Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel Holiday Together In Switzerland

After erroneous reports surfaced in January about the END of Justica, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel continue to operate like a happily attached couple. Today, we get to see a few photos of the pair in Verbier, Switzerland a couple of weeks ago lookin’ like they were having a grand ol’ time together on the sledding slopes:

UGH … despite how much I hate the snow, I have to admit that this looks like a lot of fun. The fun didn’t really carry over into the evening’s activity, tho, as Justica were spotted stiffly making their way into a restaurant in Verbier later that night. Check out that photo after the jump …

Wolfgang Puck Prepares An Oscars Feast Fit For A King Or Queen

The 82nd Academy Awards are just 2 days away and today celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck unveiled to the media his plans for the fancy eats he’ll be presenting to attendees of the Governor’s Ball on Oscars night … cuz forget about those little trophies, you know the vast majority of folks will be all about the food come Sunday night. Here are some photos of Puck and his peeps showin’ off some of the food creations that will be made available on Oscars night:

Wolfgang Puck will arguably be busiest man in Hollywood once the best motion picture Oscar is handed out Sunday night in Hollywood. The 60-year-old celebrity chef must ensure the expected 1,600 guests who attend the post-Oscar Governors Ball, given by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will be fed within 90 minutes. “Most of them haven’t eaten all day long because they had to go the hairdressers and (do) make-up,” Puck said. The Governors Ball is one of the premier Academy Award bashes where award winners and celebrities of various stripes kick off a night of revelry after the world’s top film honors. All the nominees are expected to be there, from George Clooney and Sandra Bullock to Quentin Tarantino and Meryl Streep. “There’s not a bigger party than the Oscars here,” Puck told Reuters in a phone interview. And beyond the Governors Ball, Puck will juggle two more affairs the same night — an AIDS fund-raiser for singer Elton John and a bash at his own flagship restaurant, Spago. Still, Puck’s first priority will be the Governors Ball, an event he has catered for the past 16 years. To ensure everything runs smoothly, nearly 1,000 people including 300 chefs begin working around the clock starting Saturday, the Austrian-born chef said. This year, guests will dine on crispy potato pancakes with smoked salmon and caviar, followed by black truffle chicken pot pies. They will end their meals with baked alaskas served along espresso ice-cream, chocolate sorbet and hazelnut meringue. To end the three parties a high note, guests can take home their own Oscar statuettes made of chocolate and dusted in 24-carat gold. Puck and his staff are preparing 3,500 of them. “Everybody is a winner if they come eat with us,” he said. But when asked to name his Oscar pick for best movie, Puck admitted he saw none of the 10 nominated films.

LOL!! Forget about the fact that many of the Academy Award attendees wouldn’t have eaten all day … I’m guessing many of the lovely ladies who want to look their best for the red carpet haven’t been eating for weeks now! I’m certain that the food that Wolfgang Puck provides will be the highlight for a great many of the Oscars attendees. I really love the salmon sushi in the shape of Oscar trophies … that’s an idea that anyone could adapt for their Oscars parties. WHICH REMINDS ME … if YOU host an Oscars party, make sure you snap a bunch of fun photos to send in and share with all of us! I wanna see YOUR Oscars eats this weekend!! Send your fun photos to pinkisthenewblog @gmail.com

Confesses that she still finds Taylor Lautner "hot"
Taylor Swift Does ‘Elle’ Magazine

Taylor Swift, in all her curly hair glory, is featured on the cover of the new issue of Elle magazine … BUT, for the accompanying photospread, Taylor let the fabulous Elle stylists flatten out her hair for a really chic look. In addition to showing off her stylish new look, Taylor also opens up to the mag about what she really thinks about her ex-paramour Taylor Lautner:

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner are no longer an item – but the country music sensation still thinks her Valentine’s Day costar is something special. In Elle magazine’s April issue, Swift is asked who she thinks is hot, and she’s shy about her answer: “Um, well …Taylor Lautner.” The two Taylors casually dated last year before calling it quits in late December. No word, however, on whether Swift will use their time together as fodder for future songs, though she admits her love life often fuels her writing. “A letdown is worth a few songs,” she says. “A heartbreak is worth a few albums.” Swift, 20, also shares the difficulties that come with her celebrity status. “I’ve had countless opportunities to do some really bad things,” she says. “And then people start combing through everything I do trying to find the next mistake and misperception, which leads to more scrutiny.” The Nashville darling also admits the constant media spotlight creates extra challenges that she has no control over. “Like, if I go to a bar, even if I’m not drinking, who’s to say that a source isn’t going to say that I was doing something I shouldn’t have been doing?” she continues. “So it’s not only about your own moral compass, but the moral compasses of other people that you don’t know.”

Ahhh … you stay a good girl, Taylor Swift … you can do it. Ok … so let’s get to those photos, shall we? After the jump, check out an alternate Elle magazine coverphoto and see some photos from her fabulous photospread …

"My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving"
Billy Corgan Talks To ‘Rolling Stone’ About Jessica Simpson & The H1N1 Vaccine

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who has reportedly been canoodling with Jessica Simpson lately, is featured in a new interview with Rolling Stone magazine (which features US Olympic Gold-Medalist Shaun White on the cover) wherein he talks a bit about Jessica, his band and (among other things) his spiritual beliefs. Here are a few preview excerpts from his RS interview:

Here are the first two sentences of Rolling Stone’s first Billy Corgan feature in a decade: Unless you count what he’s done to his career, Billy Corgan has never attempted suicide. Until recently, there were plenty of mornings when he’d wake up to a stark choice: “Go eat breakfast, or go kill yourself.” When Rolling Stone met with Corgan in Los Angeles in early February, the Smashing Pumpkins founder had a lot to say about a very rough 10 years. “There’s a lot of days where you feel forgotten,” Corgan says at one point. In a soul-baring, wide-ranging interview, Corgan discusses the idiosyncratic spiritual beliefs that saved him from suicidal depression (including his association with a vintage hippie cult called Source Family); opens up for the first time about his 2009 split with drummer Jimmy Chamberlin (Corgan says he fired him); reveals his father’s heroin addiction (his dad was arrested two years ago with a needle still in his arm); says that he “loves” Jessica Simpson; and much more.

Corgan on His Critics:
“Do I belong in the conversation about the best artists in the world? My answer is yes, I do,” he says. “I’ve been too productive for too long, and despite what anybody wants to strip away from me, I am influential. I am. So all the Pitchforks in the world can try to strip me of every ounce of dignity, but I belong.”

On the Pumpkins’ Breakup:
“Rather than break up the band, what I should have done is chuck James [Iha] out,” Corgan says. “I should have just said to Jimmy [Chamberlin], ‘You go to rehab, and we’ll continue, and James, get the fuck out of here.’ Instead, I fell on my sword for James, for what I thought was a friend.”

On His Spiritual Beliefs:
Corgan subscribes to the fashionable idea that we’re building to a cataclysm, or at least a major vibrational shift, in 2012; he wonders what was really in the H1N1 vaccine; he fears that the United States is headed toward a Soviet Union-style economic collapse… But when pressed on details, he backs off: “I don’t want to be a dead hero,” he says.

On “Loving” Jessica Simpson:
“If I go, ‘Oh, we’re just friends,’ then it’s like, ‘Did they go out, did he dump her or she dump him, what happened?’ It has nothing to do with any of that. Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that. My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do. It’s really simple.”

Oh man … a bit delusional, totally power-hungry, somewhat paranoid and he prolly really loves Jessica Simpson … yep, sounds like Billy Corgan. I’m curious to read the full text of this interview with Rolling Stone magazine. With Courtney Love back on the scene again, you knew it was only a matter of time before Billy wanted a piece of the limelight. I’m afraid that 2010 is gonna be the new 1996.

The TV Guide
The Rock Show

After letting the piles get way too tall, I finally managed to get the vast majority of my laundry done. I still a load left to take care of but … well, Rome wasn’t cleaned in a day. My night last night wasn’t all that exciting … but my morning today was. I managed to get a pair of tickets for the Glee concert that will take place at the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal City, CA in May as well as a pair of tix to see Ok Go in concert at the Music Box/Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, CA the day after:

I am very excited for these two shows. I’ve already been able to see Brendan Benson and Mariah Carey in concert and I’ve got a few other great shows to look forward to — Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Melissa Auf Der Maur, Owl City and now these two shows. Considering how amazing the line up for Lilith Fair is turning out, I’ll prolly be there as well. 2010 is shaping up to be a great year for concerts … and we’ve only just begun! Woot!! Are any of y’all planning on seeing any of these shows too?

The PaleyFest 2010 Presents ‘Dexter’

The Paley Center for Media here in Los Angeles hosted a special night of their annual PaleyFest in honor of the amazing Showtime series Dexter last night. Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Julie Benz and more came out to the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, CA to participate in the on-stage panel last night and everyone was lookin’ fine. Here is a group shot of the Dexter stars who came out for the PaleyFest event last night and some POSSIBLY SPOILERY deets from their discussion … read on at your own peril:

Is it September yet? With six months standing between now and the season five premiere of Dexter, I tried to pry some serious scoop out of Michael C. Hall, Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter and the rest of the gang—begging didn’t work, and neither did bribing!—and while they were tightlipped, I did manage to learn a thing or two about what’s to come while moderating the show panel at Paley Fest Thursday night. We also learned how Michael’s health is now, and watched him and his real-life wife Jennifer answer a question about their marriage for the first time. Spoiler Alert! If you have still haven’t seen the Dexter season four finale, please look no further. All of what you’ll see after the jump will definitely ruin it for you. Here are the highlights you Dexter fans need to know …

After the jump, read some of the spoilery deets that were discussed last night (courtesy of E!) and see a bunch of really fun photos of the individual castmembers in attendance last night …

Hole Releases Cover Artwork For ‘Skinny Little Bitch’

On Wednesday we got our first listen at the new Hole single Skinny Little Bitch which was made available for free download at NobodysDaughter.com. Today, altho the free download opportunity is over, we get to check out the single cover artwork for the track:

In case you missed hearing the song the first time, you can stream Skinny Little Bitch on Hole‘s official My Space profile. As I mentioned before, IMHO the song sounds very 1996 … nothing too special but by no means horrible. It’s actually much better than I thought it would be. And I think this cover artwork matches the song perfectly. I’m more interested in hearing other songs from this new Hole album. I remain cautiously optimistic that the album will impress more than we thought … we shall see.
