It's not 'Twilight'
‘Remember Me’ Premieres In NYC

Last Summer we saw may photos from the NYC set of the new film Remember Me (HERE, HERE and HERE) which stars Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson and Lost castmember Emilie de Ravin. Last night, the film held its NYC premiere at the Paris Theater in Manhattan, NY … here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals:

Ah yes … you can see that Rob‘s Twilight co-star and rumored secret paramour Kristen Stewart was in the hiz last night to lend some star power to the premiere event. And look at that … K. Stew even wore fancy gold pants and heeled shoes!! HMMM … I wonder if these two spent any time in close company together at last night’s event. Well, let’s find out — after the jump …

TEAM SHANNEN!!!
Shannen Doherty Joins The Cast Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Great news people!!! Shannen Doherty, that beloved actress of TV shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, is making her return to network TV as a contestant on the competitive reality TV series Dancing with the Stars! As you may recall, we saw Shannen in the front row at New York Fashion Week in mid-February but little did we know that appearance was a precursor for more Shannen to come. The new cast of Dancing with the Stars was revealed last night … and altho I never, ever watch the show, I can tell you I’ll be tuning in to watch and root for Shannen Doherty to win!! Here are a few promo pics of our dear Shannen, including promos from BH, 90210, Charmed, Playboy magazine and Dancing with the Stars:

Shannen Doherty — We’ve watched her grow up, but we’ve never seen her dance. Shannen Doherty is a TV icon known throughout the world. She soared to fame as everyone’s favorite troubled teen twin Brenda Walsh on the popular television series Beverly Hills, 90210 and later as the bewitching Prue Halliwell on Charmed. All this came after beginning her career at 11 years old starring as Jenny Wilder in Little House: A New Beginning. Over the course of her career, she has appeared in numerous made-for-TV-movies, television series and films including Heathers and Mallrats. Shannen later went on to produce and star in her own reality show, Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty, for the Oxygen Network in 2006. Recently, Shannen reprised her role as Brenda Walsh on the CW’s 90210 and completed filming the Hallmark made-for-TV-movie Growing the Big One. She is also the author of the upcoming book Bad Ass from publisher Clarkson Potter. We can’t wait to see this talented actress take on her latest role as a dancer on our stage. Wonder if the judges will have a special paddle for her with a 90210 on front.

Shannen will be teamed with professional dancer Mark Ballas and, I contend, they will LAY WASTE TO THE PITIFUL OTHER CONTESTANTS IN A SHOW OF FORCE THAT CAN ONLY RESULT IN THEIR TOTAL, UNQUESTIONED AND ABSOLUTE WIN! Or, at least I hope they will ;) I know there are a few DTWS fans out there — so, in case you missed hearing the announcement last night, you can learn who else will compete on the new season of Dancing with the Stars after the jump …

"I'm Jay Leno, your host ... at least, for a while"
Jay Leno Returns To ‘The Tonight Show’

In January we learned that NBC decided to cancel The Jay Leno Show, which aired in the 10PM time slot, and move him back to hosting The Tonight Show, which airs in the 11:35PM time slot … which meant that former Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien got the axe. As you may recall, Conan signed off on his last episode as host of The Tonight Show in late January and then went into hiding (well, actually he went to Hawaii to swim with the dolphins). The Tonight Show went on temporary hiatus during the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games and finally returned to the air last night … with Jay Leno as host. Here are a few screencaps from last night’s Wizard of Oz-themed cold open and Jay‘s return monologue:

A lot of things in the world have changed since May. But not Jay Leno hosting ‘The Tonight Show.’ Oh, sure, there was that awkward nine-month lapse between his farewell then and his return on Monday, a stretch when Leno left, flopped in prime time, then accepted the assignment from NBC to push out his flagging ‘Tonight Show’ successor, Conan O’Brien. NBC and Leno’s fans can relax: Judging from his first night back, it’s the same old Jay with pretty much his same old ‘Tonight Show.’ He started the show by spoofing the conclusion of ‘The Wizard of Oz,’ where Dorothy awakens to find all those crazy goings-on were only a dream. Jay, seen in sepia tones in what was meant to be a Kansas farmhouse, said: ‘I went away to the strangest place. It was wonderful, but some of it wasn’t so nice.’ In fact, Leno had gone away from the nation’s TV screens for less than a month when he returned Monday night to his old haunts in late night. ‘It’s good to be home,’ he told his audience as he began his first ‘Tonight Show’ monologue since last spring. ‘I’m Jay Leno, your host. At least, for a while.’ Leno was reclaiming his old job at NBC’s ‘Tonight Show’ just nine months after giving it up to Conan O’Brien, and only 19 days after NBC pulled the plug on Leno’s own prime-time misadventure. ‘We were off for the last couple of weeks,’ Leno cracked during his monologue. ‘Kind of like the Russians at the Olympics. What happened to them?’ Leno noted that one of his guests was an American gold medalist, skier Lindsey Vonn. ‘Did you see her?’ Leno marveled. ‘When it comes to going downhill, nobody is faster. OK, except NBC.’ As he zinged his own network, along with former Vice President Dick Cheney, Toyota and Tiger Woods, Leno signalled the resumption of the late-night war between him and his longtime CBS foe David Letterman, who had gained the ratings upper hand during O’Brien’s brief, unhappy stay as ‘Tonight Show’ host. Leno’s other welcome-back guests included Jamie Foxx and singer-songwriter Brad Paisley … NBC is praying that he will comfortably settle back behind it on the ‘Tonight Show,’ where he ruled late night (and beat Letterman) for much of 17 years.

And so … Jay Leno is back at the helm at The Tonight Show. Even now, the ire that people felt for him over the way Conan O’Brien was treated has dissipated a bit … in a few months time, it’ll be less so and a year from now it will be as if none of it happened in the first place. Like it or not, Jay Leno is back as Tonight Show host … and my guess is that he won’t be going anywhere, anytime soon. After the jump, if you are interested, you can watch the Wizard of Oz-like opening and Jay‘s full return monologue …

And her weight and her new TV show
Jessica Simpson To Open Up To Oprah Winfrey About John Mayer

Jessica Simpson will appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show tomorrow (check local listings) in order to talk about a range of topics … including the comments made about her by ex-lover John Mayer (you remember, the d-bag spewed all kinds of verbal diarrhea to Playboy magazine?), the criticism she received over her weight and her upcoming new TV show The Price of Beauty. Here are a few screencaps from the video trailer for Jessica‘s upcoming ep of The Oprah Winfrey Show:

Some people would find it a compliment to be described as ‘sexual napalm’ in bed. But not Jessica Simpson, who didn’t take too kindly to ex-boyfriend John Mayer’s recent unchivarlrous comments about her. But what better way to gain revenge for her perceived humiliation than to slam the singer on Oprah Winfrey – in front of an international audience of millions. And as the singer struggled to hold back the tears, it became clear that she had won this particular battle for public support. Jessica, 29, spoke to the Queen of Chat about how hurt she was when former lover Mayer, 32, told Playboy magazine last month that she was like a drug to him sexually. He said: ‘And drugs aren’t good for you if you do lots of them… Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me. Sexually it was crazy. That’s all I’ll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm. Did you ever say, “I want to quit my life and just fucking snort you?”‘ He later apologised for opening his mouth and said he’d behaved like ‘an a-hole’. But despite his apology, Jessica is still livid about his remarks and looked visibly upset in her interview with Oprah. The full interview will be broadcast in the U.S. tomorrow but a sneak-peek trailer shows Jessica telling Oprah: ‘I don’t want people to know how I am in bed.’ Oprah then asks her if she felt betrayed by Mayer’s comments – but Jessica’s answer won’t be revealed until tomorrow. Simpson also opens up about her weight issues and the criticism towards her, which she revealed she often struggles with. The trailer shows her telling Oprah: ‘It’s a really hard thing for me to talk about.’

And, yet, as difficult as she claims it is to talk about … Jessica Simpson decides to open up on one of the most popular shows on TV right now. Well, I say good for her … sure the main purpose of her appearance on Oprah is to promote her new TV show but it’ll be good for her to finally speak out about the misery she’s lived thru in the past couple of years (including her dumping from boyfriend Tony Romo and the sad death of her pet pooch Daisy). After the jump, check out the video trailer to see a sneak preview of tomorrow’s interview …
