Head’s up Robert Pattinson fans … your favorite boy has been spotted on the set of his new film Bel Ami in between scene takes but still in full consume as Monsieur Georges Duroy … behold:
I don’t believe that Bel Ami is a vampire film and, yet, R. Pattz does seems to have that pasty pallor that is common among vampire characters. All he needs is a little bit o’ sparkle and he could be Edward Cullen circa 1881. Nothing about this film particular excites me, especially since I hate period pieces but I’m sure there are a few Twihards out there who might get a kick out of these pics … yes?

i think once he can get away from twilight, things for him will be pretty good. after watching some other movies..and seeing the preview for Remember Me, he’s a pretty good actor with room to grow & expand.
i kind of like period pieces, so odds are, i’ll probably give this movie a chance.
I agree with Nicole. I read the book Bel Ami and Rob is perfect for the part of Georges DuRoy. I’m so excited for Rob to see where his career can go. I was a Twilight fan now I’m just over it. I’m glad when they are finally done with that movie series. Let the actors get on with their lives.
i like him in non twilight roles. i don’t know what it is. he’s hot when he’s not playing a vampire…

There’s nothing wrong with being pasty, especially in a period piece where the gentry prided themselves on being super white (they didn’t need to go work in the sun thus getting a tan). It was a status thing. I think R-Pattz suits this look very much!
Bel Ami is an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant novel.
The script was on the British Black List of best screenplays and it has an amazing cast with Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci.
Rob is choosing quality projects from Remember Me and Bel Ami to Water for Elephants, another book adaptation with Reese Witherspoon and probably Sean Penn.
Smoking is NOT sexy. Blech.

hmm. I’ve only seen robert pattinson in ‘harry potter’, so I have no idea if he can pull off this (hopefully) complex role but I hope it turns out for the best. I love the novel ‘bel ami’, I read it for a class in college and it is fantastic.
He would make the perfect Mr. Darcy.
