Super Bowl XLIV is just 2 days away but the party has already gotten started in Miami, FL this week. Rihanna performed a special pre-Super Bowl concert, sponsored by Pepsi, for throngs of eager fans. As you can see from the photos below, Ri Ri busted out one of her more interesting outfits for the occasion:
She’s become famous for her eccentric stage fashion, and last night Rihanna didn’t disappoint as she took to the stage in in Miami, Florida. The pop star paraded around on stage at the Pepsi Super Bowl Fan Jam in a peculiar one-shoulder, one-leg catsuit that featured white trimming. Her black strapless bra was on show, and she completed the look with fishnet tights, black leather gloves and huge blonde quiff. The ensemble was created by styling duo Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi, who regularly work with Rihanna on her costumes and red carpet attire. She stormed the stage with a medley of her hits, including Wait Your Turn, Disturbia and Russian Roulette. The Barbadian star is one of a host of celebs who singed up for the concerts, including Timberland, who joined her onstage during the set. A second gig will be held on today, featuring the likes of Nelly Furtado, Paulina Rubio and Pitbull. The two day event comes ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIV, where the Indianapolis Colts will take on the New Orleans Saints.

I love this outfit … it’s cheeky and fun and she looks great in it. Pepsi teamed up with VH1 for this event, which was streamed live online last night, but perhaps we should look there come Sunday to see these performances in full one more time? Despite the fact that everyone will be all about the football this weekend, I’m glad to see that we non-football fans have other things to look forward to as well ;)

I think this outfit is more tolerable than most of her others.
i will never ever…understand her outfits…ive actually read some other places that this was considered a GOOD outfit..ugh.
I like the concept (the diagonal stripe), but I really don’t like the execution of the idea. The white pipping looks too much like Santa Clause. If it had been a flat material and something more interesting than white, it might have worked better.
Oh my goodness! I haven’t seen a one-legged- and one shouldered unitard like that since Ziggy Stardust.
