Morrissey Crusades To Save The Bunnies
NO CAGED RABBITS!

Yesterday we saw a video interview of Kellan Lutz speaking on behalf of PETA‘s Always Adopt, Never Buy campaign and today we get to see another animal rights PSA … but this time, the focus is on saving rabbits … with a soundtrack provided by known animal rights activist Morrissey:

Animal lover Morrissey has given his backing to FOUR PAWS’s new animation about rabbit factory farming. Legendary celebrity and singer Morrissey provided the iconic song ‘Everyday is like Sunday’ as the lead soundtrack … Factory farmed caged rabbits have limited space to lie stretched out or sit up on their hind legs. The rabbits are forced to live in cramped and barren conditions. It is not uncommon for bone disorders and foot inflammations to develop, as well as other excruciating conditions. Farmed rabbits may develop neurotic behaviours to relieve the stress caused by their unnatural living conditions.

The animated video is cute but I don’t really get the connectedness between Morrissey‘s song and the message of the PSA — but you can check out the clip for yourselves to determine if it makes sense to you, after the jump …

OMG … low budget … but cute. I know I could never cage a rabbit after watching this video … how about you? Do you find this PSA effective or just plain bootleg?

yeah it is awful pathetic that animal rights activists spend their time on this silly crap while there are serious issues like crushing greed and elitism effecting humans

I have noticed many Republicans tend to be all about animals

  2. Jen says:

@rjp3 you think animal rights is silly crap? Why is it wasting ones time if it is an issue they feel so strongly about?

This isn’t actually animal rights, but animal welfare. There isn’t a standard on how rabbits should be treated while alive before being slaughtered there in the UK. Thus the point of the video.

There are other rabbit issues in the US here, such as them being the most abandoned animal, even over dogs and cats. Any shelters that do take in bunnies are overflowing with them. So if you or someone you know would like to have a pet bunny, please adopt one rather than buy. So many need a home.

Also on a side note, a great deal of Republicans are not on board for animal welfare. See the battle to save the American Mustangs, many wanted thousands of them to be sent to slaughter. Only a few Rs actually voted to save them.

If killing rabbits finds a cure to cancer or AIDS, die bunny die.

    mmm rabbit is tasty
